I bathed in the ocean and built the island up for the housing of the cleanup crews. The chief of the Enewetokans still wore the hat that MacArthur gave him. I was one of the first people to visit Runit, the island with the craters and the most radioactive. I was given a pinch mask and a pair of rubber boots. In the video I saw the flagged plutonium that I held.

Probably because we stopped producing them back in the 70's. A year or two ago we finally finished disposal of our entire VX nerve agent stockpile. In contrast the Russians continued Chem and Bio weapon research full bore up until and after the end of the cold war. The US now (among other nations I believe) now pay the Russians money to dispose of their own weapons just so we don't have to worry about them getting lost or stolen.

We have a pretty decent missile defense system. Three layers of them actually (meaning 3 chances to take down a missile). The only countries capable of doing nuclear harm to us is just Russia and China. Anyone else is just doing kids play.
