  • Just saw Byron at the Lansing deer and turkey expo this past weekend. He's a great guy and friendly as ever. Awesome sense of humor and the trick shots were cool. It was a pleasure to personally meet him and his wife.

  • patriot longbow

  • he doesn't actually use a long bow, it's an american flatbow

  • we meet again, 240p...

  • Kinda a crappy video for 2006

  • Not critising the shoot but to all americans out there, stop calling that type of bow a longbow. Its a flatbow.

  • @19firebird86 so then go into the history books and change every major battle that took place before firearms. its called a long bow, a flat bow has a slight curve at both ends of the bow. a long bow, very simalar, does not. byron is an expert and knows what he is an expert with.

  • @cory10996 Actually corey longbows have a large D cross section there are even longbows around from that period that were recovered from the Mary Rose, just cause you yanks call your flatbows longbows doesn't mean they are. Longbows are your English longbows. Get your facts right as well some longbows did have a reflex tip, you can see them in old paintings depicting archers at major battles.

  • @19firebird86 :-) I use a traditional 100 pound draw english longbow. :-)

  • @19firebird86 wow stfu you dipshit i dont know why it bothers you so much you must have no life

  • @19firebird86 im totaly with you on that one but its still called a longbow because its held longways not cross ways but i do agree with you, i would like it if they called it a flat bow because it is its name after all :)

  • that woman has balls big as a house!

  • STOP TALKING I DONT CARE HOW YOU GOT INTO ARCHERY JUST GET TO THE SHOTS

  • @Eldinarcus fast foward hit you whinny bitch

  • @Eldinarcus fast forward it you whinny cunt

  • @blorchdude4 I don't know what a whinny is but okay.

  • he's my hero. I want to be just like him, only i will use a recurve bow.

  • byron ferguson is the definition of archery itself!!!!!

  • Holy crap this guy is amazing!!!! But is he shooting a traditional bow? with no sights?? if he is . then he is a god

  • @superknight660 I guess he's god then, cause hes doing exactly that

  • all archery enthusiasts bow down to byron ferguson!!!

  • wonder if he has ever shot deer with that bow?,lol

  • THAS THE FIRST THING I WOULD SHOOT

  • @honda1881 he's a bowhunter, a very sucessfull one :)

  • i can see everything that that walks within 65 yards of him is boned

  • i know you woulnt have but it would have been messed up if you hit that lady's hand

  • it is his wife and she is the ony one that can throw it good for him lol

  • I know he's the best at what he does but if i was the lady standing 2 feet from the targets i would crap my pants every time he shoots

  • that lady is his wife, she must be fearless haha

  • @buckfever32123 well as he said, she is out of danger because she is to the right of his bow which means if he missed the arrow would go left, it would'nt go right

  • we love you Byron :)

  • very nice~

  • that little plate he shot in the air was nice

  • I thought he used the composite recurve bows in Ripley's Believe it or Not

  • that women has some serious balls holding the ballons

  • girls have none

  • zing

  • recurvre is a challenge( not with scoop stabilisatrs...) longbow is difficilt and compound is easier

  • what was that last little thing he shot out of the air? Very impressive.

  • It might have been a Lifesaver... He is known to do that.

  • I have a longbow and a hunting bow and I use my longbow more often because it's more of a challenge for me.

    Byron is the man !

  • its cool that he uses a longbow its becoming a dying weapon everyone is turning to compounds but i really hate the stereo type i mean he has the flag on his arrows and on the targets its just a little stereo typical

  • Lol, it's not a dying weapon. It's becoming more popular than ever (apart from warbows, of course)!

  • in australia every one will use a compound FOR TARGET PRACTICE!!!! and its just no competition for longbows i mean compounds have scopes target finders ive seen freaking laser sights!!

  • You should go check out the SCA. Medieval re-enactment group, and they do archery, no compounds allowed. All traditional.

    sca(dot)org

  • can archers actually participate in reinactments like do they use modified arrows so they don't hurt asmuch so they can actually shoot the enemy or is it only target practice

  • They do have combat archery, but the safety rules are really strict, and I haven't bothered to really look into it yet. Just go to the website, they have everything you would want to know there.

  • isn't there arrows that are non lethal or damaging that you can buy they have like rubber tips i think it was uber arrows or somthing i might be completely wrong

  • lol nvm i was wrong about the uber arrows but there is modifyed arrows that can't hurt people

  • Yes, and you make them, and I read the guidelines and safety protocol for the ones the SCA uses, but it didn't make any sense to me. Seriously, stop asking me questions, just go to the SCA website and read it for yourself.

  • Thanks for your help i will stop harrasing you for answers :)

  • Byron is freakin Awesome!!

  • why would the lady stand right near the friggin target area

    ?" crazy if u ask me!#@#

  • because he rocks so hard,

i wouldnt have a tingle of fear if he were to take aim at an apple upon my head

  • It's his wife Wanda. She's used to it :)

  • nice
