  • Why not just tell Magic Jack to send you a replacement unit to replace the defective one?

  • He wants $13 for that? LMFAO what a scam. It's only a 100k resistor bridging the wires. You can get five for a buck at radioshack and do it in 5 minutes yourself.

  • @Sandiegoanons I agree, you can save a lot of money by building it yourself, provided that you already have the necessary parts and tools. These are the items you need from Radio Shack if you don't already have them:

    100k Ohm resistors Catalog #: 271-1131 for $1.19

    15-watt soldering iron Catalog #: 64-2051 for $7.99

    solder Catalog #: 64-022 for $6.99

    RJ-11 modular connectors Catalog #: 279-384 for $5.49

    RJ-11 crimp tool Catalog #: 55008237 for $44.99

  • Electronic components?

    A resistor, nothing more.

  • The Magicjack will never show the caller's name. This device is only for certain Magicjacks that do not show anything when someone calls. If yours is showing the caller's number, then it's working fine. You don't need this device.

  • I think my magic jack plus does that now, but what good is "caller id" if you don't have the persons name.

  • @suspekt29 What good is your cell phone if it doesn't show the person's name? It only has the name if the caller's number is already in your phone book. Same thing with Magicjack.

  • Perhaps you can find a way to make the Caller ID NAME work on the new MagicJack Plus. It doesn't work exactly as a landline because it only shows the Number and not the NAME of the person calling.

  • who'd wanan call u anyways Lmao j/k good post
