From what I read and gathered, Crispin Glover was the original choice for the new Joker and I personally think that he could've pulled the role off with ease. I am highly disappointed that Ledger has been cast instead of Crispin.
I wish everyone would give Ledger a chance and stop comparing him with Nicholson. Everyone should remember that was then and this is now. From some of the Dark Knight stills I have seen so far, this Joker is going to be very creepy and psychotic, no disrespect to Jack Nicholson whom I loved in the role but I felt could have done so much more with the character. I am hoping Ledger can pull this off.

From what I read and gathered, Crispin Glover was the original choice for the new Joker and I personally think that he could've pulled the role off with ease. I am highly disappointed that Ledger has been cast instead of Crispin.

I wish everyone would give Ledger a chance and stop comparing him with Nicholson. Everyone should remember that was then and this is now. From some of the Dark Knight stills I have seen so far, this Joker is going to be very creepy and psychotic, no disrespect to Jack Nicholson whom I loved in the role but I felt could have done so much more with the character. I am hoping Ledger can pull this off.

At first I was pissed about Heath Ledger playing the Joker. I was dubious that a flat-faced young man like Heath could be convincing in the role. But after seeing the pics, and learning of the Alex DeLarge vibe they're going for, I think he might scare the shit out of me.

I see what he's doing now...he's trying to convey a toxic feel with the joker, combined with influences from slasher films and ichii the killer. Clever. Heath better not fuck it up. And yes, the part should have definitely gone to tobey stephens.
