@Korkzor The Second Edition DVD is up on Lulu. Their system (and their support personnel) is so idiotic that I can't get the Blu-Ray disc up to them, and given the horrific time I had last time trying to get them seeded, it's just not worth it to me.
I'd be willing to send the discs to someone I could trust to upload them and keep them seeded.
Has anyone successfully made a Blu-ray DVD from the downloaded .iso file? My Blu-ray player says it cannot read it.
I have tried with a Sony and an NEC burner (both a year or more old) with both DVD-R and DVD+R media. I am using Nero 7 which is rather old. I am using Windows XP SP3.
DVD .iso worked great.
Has anyone used the free .iso to DVD software from imgburn?
Note to anyone who gave up downloading because it was taking too long. There are multiple seeds now and it is much faster.
@WarmWeatherGuy All I had to do was wait a year for a new firmware update for my Samsung blu-ray player. Now I can play blu-ray files that are stored on DVD media.
I'm still wrestling with Lulu about getting the second edition up. The DVD is up, but they're complete idiots and don't know that all you have to do to make the Blu-Ray disc is to burn the files to a DVD data disc (which they support). Idiots.
@shanedk I am glad you showed me that I can put Blu-ray quality video onto DVDs, especially now that I have an HD video camera. Blank DVDs are much cheaper than Blu-ray blanks. There is the problem though that some people (like me a short while ago) can't watch them on their Blu-ray player. I don't know what percentage of people's Blu-ray players will work. Maybe Lulu is worried about a high return rate, or more likely, they just don't understand the situation. I'm still seeding your torrents.
Give me time; I only have 512kbps upstream. I'm halfway there. I've given the Blu-Ray higher priority now that there are seeders for the DVD; uTorrent says I'll have given out a full copy in another day and a half.
Fantastic. My friend's church is starting a science portion during sunday school. I'm helping to collate some material for that purpose. His church is pretty anit-creationism. I trust you won't mind if this is used for that purpose. ^_^ Thanks again Shane!
I've been referencing your series to ignorant Theists as often as I can, and its amusing to see them run away and scatter like cockroaches in the light.
I applaud you, this is a truly noble effort. In addition to spreading knowledge and debasing ignorance it was a great choice of sharing it through torrents. Whether or not it was your intention this is exactly the kind of thing that gives legitimacy to bittorrent use.
TPB doesn't hurt much more than google. I can search for most torrents through google just like TPB, successfuly. Sure it might not be just as efficent to search torrents with google as it is with TPB but both of the search engines can do the same exact job. One just does it better. And I see noone suing google for it.
If there's demand, then I'll do that after these two get seeded. As it is, my upload's being strained between them. It'll take a few days for a full copy to get out there; after that, it should be fast.
Also, do a Google search for "bookmarklet youtube hd download" and you can find a link you can use to download any YouTube HD video in mp4 format. Then you can download them directly if you want.
Well, you don't need to burn 'em to watch 'em. Just use VLC player. Google it. But this is another argument why the bay should not be blocked by every major ISP in Denmark.
Unfortunately, your links to Mininova dont work for me. Is there any other way of getting it?

I'm trying to get it on Lulu. The DVD is up, but I'm having trouble uploading the Blu-ray.

¿Exactly which license is it?:
The Goldstandard is CC-BY-SA because it guarantees reusability. The most flexible is CC-BY because it cuts with everything.

CC-BY-NC-SA.

There is no scientific basis for evolution. I suspect you mean "evolutionary theory."

"There is no scientific basis for evolution"
Complete failure.
Get off the net, kid.

I think you miss Desertphile's point.
Evolution is a natural phenomenon.
Evolutionary theory is a scientifically based explanation of that natural phenomenon.

BitTorrent IS legitimate. It's an efficient download protocol for distributing large files. Free videos, Linux distros, whatever.
Do we have to give legitimacy to cars because of drunk drivers and bank heist getaways?
shanedk 2 years ago
I guess i should have been clearer. It gives legitimacy to sites like TPB

TPB is a legitimate site for torrent indexing.
