  • Pete Rose in a uniform?!?

  • i used to use sea breeze back in middle school. I had really bad acne then too and the stuff stung so much! of course this was the only 'good' acne-fighting facial cleanser sold on base since my dad was still in the air force at the time and the stuff was cheaper on base than going to walmart even though he sometimes perferred going there.

  • Meredith whatever the hell her name is was a sexy older mama back in the day

  • hahahaha. Thick and spicy guy took a fake bite out of a fake chicken leg.:-P

  • LOL I remember those crazy kung fu La Choy commericals, really bad Chinese stereotypes. Its Lorenzo Music, God I miss him and his voice, he's been gone for 10 years now.

  • do any Wendy's still serve breakfast? I know the Arby's where I live is unusual for not serving it.

I never liked Kraft bbq sauce. To me it always tasted like ketchup

  • @blugreen123 Yep, and (and I know I'm dating myself here) the incomparable Carlton the Doorman.

  • Wendy's just started reserving breakfast again this year. I have no idea why they stopped in the first place.

  • 8:23 ...and turn you into common houseplants.

  • Elle walks past a guy and all of a sudden a breeze is blowing back at him? Might want to cut back on those bean burritos there, Elle.

  • It must be true about Centrum, because I've never heard of the other vitamin brands. Oh, the computers... -_-() My mom used La Choy. Oh, the pain seeing those cars again... -_-() Alex Trebeck had dark brown hair!!! Starch was a diet food??

  • Elle Macpherson! She helped make me a man. Well, not in person. :-P

  • Omg, if that ginger kid winked at me I would ask for an exorcism.

  • Elle♥♥♥♥

Wendys breakfast? omg the chevy rofl- I recall half theze- im Eighties Junkie :D -

  • Rose as a player! the voice of Garfield!

  • What show on CBS are all these commercials from? They remind me of commercials appearing on Jeopardy!

  • @MattJFisher The tape they're from is the 1985 Fourth of July Concert with The Beach Boys (Though the tape is of a rebroadcast recorded in '86). I'm thinking about posting some of it on the fourth this year, so stay tuned!

  • For a time in 2008, here in Ontario, Wendy's served breakfast at some locations in Toronto and Peterborough.

  • Byyyy MENNen.

  • This compilation is the first I ever saw 3 years ago, and it is STILL my favorite.

  • Yup, I recognized the voice in Champale as the voice of Garfield.

  • Bye Lorenzo...

  • Ahh. I miss Lorenzo Music. R.I.P.

  • 0:07 And, apparently, Sea Breeze cleans so deep it'll make your hair fly around!

  • The 'Drumstick Test' ahh... I remember this!

  • 1. I always thought it looked more like the Sea Breeze girl had really bad gas. I would forgive Elle MacPherson for farting on me, but I wouldn't be happy about it, like these guys.

    3. Ohh, man. I remember the Instant-Win bottlecaps. These days, you have to sign up for a Coke mailing address, just to find out if you won. Stinks.

    21. Back when not all malt liquor ads specifically targeted black people.

  • That thingle you felt with SeaBreeze was the sting of alcohol. It was terrible for your skin!

  • lol The car commercials look like, used auto ads :P

  • Their breakfast was awesome....and I wish they still did it!

  • BY MENNEN!

And starches ARE healthy "when you don't load them up with sugar and fat."

  • "Place In The Sun.", by Pablo Cruise. And "In The Dark", by Billy Squier, Awesome. lol That Subaru looked just alot a Pulsar/Fiero/MR2s/TR7s from back then. Those were the cars, that made me want to race cars later in life. That I-ROC they showed was badass too. Poor Pete Rose. Yes! Starch is GREAT for you! Eat up, Future Diabetics. lol

  • elle is a ten

  • Definitely agree on the starch comment.

  • lLOL LA CHOY

  • The Starch commercial was funny. It's hard to believe that nowadays, "no one can eat carbs while dieting!"

  • Holy shit that VCR was expensive.

  • @kari00ws6 Does it service you sexually or something?

  • just $338 for a vcr.

  • Wendy's used to sell BREAKFAST?!?

  • Yeah, they still do around here.

  • @KTEFilmsInc Yes, wendys served breakfast. From 1982 to 1988, Wendys challenged macdonalds in terms of popularity, but after the stock market crash of 1991,Wendys stopped their breakfast menu and the company folded up most of its franchises.

  • Does anybody remember the Skin Bracer commercials where the guy putting it on would get the holy crap slapped out of him??!!

  • I don't give a damn what anyone says, fashion peaked in 1986.

  • This is really cool cause I stumbled on this by accident and I'm originally from Salinas. That Richardsons jingle lol gotta love it

  • i do too. i sleep good to these. must be a comfort thing, reminding me of my childhood.

  • Me too!

  • I think they used a voice actor to dube in the dude at the end of the arm & hammer ad. (The voice dosen't seem to sinc with his speaking!) I'd even be prepared to swear the voice was that of the late Mr. Artie Stang. He was still active at the time! Also, you were right about Casey Kasem in the BBQ ad! Side note... the blonde in 'the Tortellis' ads was 'Mrs. Kasem'! She had a recurring role on 'Cheers' & had a walk-on in Ghostbusters I!

  • Wow Casey Kasem did bbq sauce too?

  • Can't an Asian enjoy dinner with out ninja's knocking down the door and doing Kung-Fu on them? Am I the only one??

  • @Dartagnan2006 Dart, back in the 80's, asians were only allowed to do two things on tv and in films and that was fight ninjas and do mathmatics. Thats it.

  • @blackshogun77 Those are still the only two things they are allowed to do on TV and movies today.

  • I didn't know Wendy's had breakfast.

I only used sea breezes when waxing ym face.

  • hey i have sae breeze!in fact i just used some last night!

i wish i wasnt born in the 90s

  • 80's commercials Christmas edition is great too.

    Christmas in the 80's *sigh*

    watch?v=KyiTMLBc1EA

  • "Believe it or not a potato has 1/3 the fat of hamburger"?

Duh! I would've thought it had much less than that! And aren't they now saying to avoid starch?

  • I was 12 years old when these commercials were aired...feeling old.

  • Don't; contemporary culture distorts the proper concept of age.

You remember who the biggest sex symbol of the 80's was right?

That's right Tom Selleck...who was in his 40's at the time (Born in 1945) 80's culture was a culture geared toward and run by mature adults, while kids on average were just allowed to be kids. Now we live in a culture of 12 year olds acting like their 30 year olds, everything has been accelerated, so that the whole concept of age is distorted.

  • @Califacience yes it has and ive experienced it first hand

  • @Califacience yes it has and ive experienced it first hand

  • Reminds me of watching Basic Cable. 10 solid minutes of commercials within each program.

  • The Micro Age guy almost looks like Michael Douglas!

  • @humhunny I had forgotten all about MicroAge

  • @humhunny I had forgotten all about MicroAge

  • I love the old 86 Corvettes!!

  • LORENZO! <3 I never realized how much stuff he voiced in the 80s. When I hear that voice I am immediately five again.

  • I love that jingle in the Richardson Chevy ad and then the psa at the end of the ad totally irrelevant

  • The guy in Sea Breeze was blown away ... lucky guy (I suppose lol)

  • Elle McPherson....STILL HOT!!!

  • Sea Breeze. Alcohol with a fragrance. lol It was horrible. And the Wendy's commercial reminded me of one that I think was from KFC.... "Chicken Littles". the song went: "new chicken littles....new chicken littles...." Does anyone remember????

  • 1. Sea Breeze burned off my damn eyebrows

    2. I didn't have a Riva Jog, me and my friends rode Spree's. I think Honda made them.

    3. Does Wendy's still serve breakfast?

    4. I BET that was the last time that Pete Rose wore a Cincinnati Reds uniform.

    5. I'll take BAD mustaches for 200 Alex.

  • May Zeus himself strike down the mortal that denies the goodness of Trebek's mustache!

  • But he's right! it droops to the right and is completely lopsided!! ;-)

  • @80sCommercialVault it's not goodness of Trebek's mustache, it's epic!

  • @80sCommercialVault i'll take the mustache for $1000, but i'm not touching that hairdo, Alex.

  • @LouisvilleCardinal72 Yeah, I didn't know much about it until I read what ol' Pete did. Shameful. And Sea Breeze singed my whole face! That must have been 99.99999% alcohol. And to think they still make that lethal stuff!

  • I remember sea breeze. They made that into the early 90's too. It reeked of alcohol and burned the fuck outta my skin!

  • And there's Jeopardy! champ Chuck Forrest at 8:55 and 9:02!

  • that's right, the man who's famous "bounce" strategy would be used by many a J! player to come I can't get over it, only 24 years old, and would become a five time champion and go on to win the tournament of champions, all in all, he walked away with $172,800. . It's just a shame that he lost in the quarterfinals of Super J!. However, he would reach the semi's of the million dollar masters, but would lose to fellow 80s TOC Champ, Bob Verini, who is another favorite J! Champ of mine.

  • I'll be damned if that isn't Casey Kasem's voice at 0:55!

  • Thanks so much for posting these! they bring back so many memories. I am amazed that lamost 25 years later I still know so many of the "jingles"

  • The chiken leg in the kraft thick and spicy barbecue sauce looks like the KFC grilled chicken of today. Please Reply to me and tell me if you went the day that KFC gave away free grilled chicken, was the piece big, how was the flavor.

I remember their mall stores; also Video Concepts.

  • Oh no you didn't just talk about Curtis Mathis! I haven't seen one of those stores since '99! Great rent to own place.

  • 1999.... you just knocked me back to like 1985/86. I so remember the folks going to Curtis Mathis for our first real nice TV and VCR. Our VCR had a remote control that still had the cable attached... but it was the shit at the time. No remote for the TV, though! Ha!

  • vcr for 340 probably cost 50 bucks to make even back then

  • You never hear the word "Oriental" anymore. Is that like the "colored" of Asians?

I'm not being sarcastic here, I'm an Italian guy that lives in Phoenix, so I don't know too many Asians I could ask.

  • I would assume so. Hearing "Oriental" always reminded me of a couch or some piece of furniture.
