I hear ya, but you got things wrong; the drummer in this vid is a stand-in, since they didn't have a real drummer in the band as of that time. See, their first drummer, Michael Tapper, left the band, and until they hired they guy on Letterman (Adam Aaronson), they borrowed this guy.

I think they mean Adam,he usually drums with them since last November the only times he doesn't is the odd TV performance and when he got married.He is a great drummer and fits with the band perfectly will be very sad if he's replaced.
