you can use conditioner. If you don't your hair will break. I have fine hair so I ONLY put conditioner on the bottom half of my hair. The top of your head gets natural oils but your ends need the conditioner.
I stopped using conditioner in the shower a while back and switched to ONLY using watery leave in conditioner out of the shower.. and that helped my hair a lottt. It has has vitamins it in as well and makes my hair look healthier and shiner without weighing it down.
Another tip that I read in a magazine that is especially important for those of us with extremely flat, fine, oily hair, is to NOT brush it when you get out of the shower. You made a good point when you said to start brushing at the bottom and work your way to the top, but you really shouldn't when you leave the shower. You should take a towel, cover your head and scrunch your hair, and then blow dry upside down. Thanks for the tips!!
I have a really important question about my hair, because my hair IS fine, and sort of limp, but with that, it's also very damaged and the ends are extremely dry from straightening it just about everyday. On top of that, my hair get so greasy in just one day, so I constantly have to wash it. I can't win! It's either dry as hell, or an oil rag. I love my hair but it's so hard to handle. What do i do?
Ohh, this was really nice! We straight heads are always lookin for volume!
My hair is naturally straight and medium texture, so it sort of has natural volume. However, when I curl it hmm I'm so in love with the texture and super volume I got, precisly fine, don't really care about the curls even they are great. The thing I daily do is to use a Root Boost Volumizer, put my HUGE velcro rollers in, get a fast blowdry then air dry. Works wonderfully and u say bye to flat boring lifeless straight hair
the funny thing is, i try to get my hair really dirty for some reason, my hair is really flat, and whenever i wash it all oils go away for like 2 days, So sometimes i need to stay away from washing my hair for couple of days which makes me angry, if i wont my hair looks like a fucking helmet :(( how can i fix that?
@skandskate69 I always dry my hair upside down, you can always tease it at the roots too a little and use a flexible hair spray for volume. They also have some great volumizers you can try as well! =)
@skandskate69 I had no idea!-hehe! Maybe you should post a picture so ppl will know? That was funny. I thought your choice of words were a bit bold for a girl btw so it all makes sense now! =)
I have similar hair-I use conditioner on only the bottom inch of my hair. I use a de-tangler from Loreal kids its super cheap and very good. They have ones that smell like watermelon or strawberry.
I favourite this video. More hair videos please :)

So is it wise to comb your hair right after you get out of the shower?
Also, instead of conditioner I use a 1/4 of a cup of white distilled vinegar. Gets rid of dandruff and helps with all that darn oil!

Er, I meant Loreal. Loreal Kid's sells a straight up detangler - super cheap, too. Works very, very well.

You can find detanglers in the baby section. L'Oreal makes one for kids.
This is a great video, I am going to show it to my daughter. She has hair just like yours.
I would LOVE a vid on eyebrows!!!
