  • MOONLIGHT SONATA.....the most beautiful song i have ever heard

  • That Beethoven is in your chart, thanks. His gifts inspires my daily life. MUSIC as it is of course rendered by all above geniuses. Thanks for sharing . Moonlight sonata is one energy I could not do without.

  • the lark ascendingg =)

    es mejor de todas

  • this music is so beautiful

  • you forgot prince igor - Alexander Borodin :)))

  • The reason it "sounds bad" is the extremely low frequencies in the piece can not be reproduced correctly due to the compression of the audio codec.

  • any top 10 that doesn't include anything by Mozart isn't a top 10

  • @lordmangoman

agree with you !..not Mozart not Vivaldi, Haendel, Chopin, Verdi etc etc...but Offenbach and Mascagni, and others...

Strange,! perhaps,it's because these musics have been heard in movies ....!

  • I agree 100% with number 2 Top 10!!! Cello Suite No. 1, BWV 1007 by Bach is an amazing music composition.

  • It's sad that Pachabell Canon is the only remembered piece of Pachabell.

  • Thank you!

  • Too much christian song..

  • @JermainsDirty So? I'm an atheist, but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate beautiful music, no matter what its inspiration.

  • @JermainsDirty that's already a biased view ... music, is music. Most classical music are , inevitably, church music.

  • Not having Debussy - Claire de Lune - in there throws the whole thing off.

  • Doesn't the first image of a Man look like Charlie Sheen?

  • Where the fuck is Old dirty bastard?

  • In my top 10 ok for Canon, JSB cantata 147, JSB Cello suite n1, these 3 a my favorites baroque music, but that's all. However impossible not to include: Mahler adagietto from Symphony N5 quite superior to Barber's, Lacrimosa from Mozart ( I agree with viktorhzgz), Beethoven ode to the joy. Clair de Lune from Debussy, Aranjuez from Rodrigo.....still 2 left.....i think it could be Wagner Siegfried funeral march and.......Chopin polonaise 53.

  • were fuck is lacrymosa from mozart??

  • @viktorhzgz Lacrymosa by Mozart is not all Mozart, only 11 measures were finished when he died.

  • Bortniansky's Cherubic Hymn?

  • Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

  • Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time ==Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

  • @ac3761G Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

  • Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

  • You hear so much about Mozart, who I love, and I think is one of the top composers of all time, but Bach is right there with him. Genius.

  • THAT IS SOME AWESOME VIOLIN ON A MAD NOTE!

  • Top 10 Most Beautiful Songs Of All Time

  • You miss bolero de ravel ?

  • I agree with most of this list. I believe Franz Biebl's Ave Maria as performed by Chanticleer is the most beautiful song in the world.

  • I listen to this music just to laugh at the snobby elitist comments.

  • Thank you!!! Great collection, I had been looking for #10 forever, couldn't remember the name for the life of me, finally got it!!! Thanks again!!!

  • 0:15 OMFG HE HAS A DERP FACE GTFO

  • Nice selection. A minor fact: Tales of Hoffman is an opera.

  • JCccny - this is a list by one person - I don't agree with all these as being 'great' , but I can hear great music - we all have different views and tastes - Isn't it great though that we can understand and appreciate music?

  • A very nice selection. Usually I find myself at odds with a lot of "Top Ten" lists. NOT THIS TIME!

  • Where is Mozart in this list? Aria from Zaide, Soave Sia il Vento....? This list is suspect!

  • #6 Hitman's theme

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful list...what a great collection...

(although really .... shouldn't some Mozart have been there??) ;-)

  • sorry i'm looking for this amazing version adagio for the string...can you hel me? thankssss

  • @centrodanzaricerca This is a vocal arrangement that Samuel Barber made of this. The vocal arrange is "Agnus Dei" If you type that in with Samuel Barber you will find it. Try the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's version, it's astounding.

  • #2 - Johann Pachelbel " Canon "

  • Thomas Tallis 40 part motet Spem in Alium...come on...its no 1

  • It is a good list; however, I would prefer Claire de Lune and Largo from Xerxes over Barcarolle and Intermezzo.

  • BEST is Maria Callas' "O Mio Babbino Caro "....beautiful and heartbreaking.

  • truly the best songs and melodies of all time ! especially the last one, my all time favourite "Moonlight Sonata", thank you^^

  • i feel like the emperor of the world when im listening to this

  • but where is Jethro Tull?

  • I like the list. I would have included Nimrod on mine, however.

  • How about Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus?

  • Comment removed

  • My personal favorite is Mozart's, Rondo all Turca (Turkish March)

  • Where is "Clair de lune" from Claude Debussy????

  • Thank you for putting this together. You have expanded my mind and my heart.

  • @donwoodbury Thanks for the list. There's a couple on here I'm not familar with.

It's always good to new input on beautiful music. That angellica one is beautiful and new to me.

  • Umm.. i only liked the moonlight sonata

  • Wow love every single one of this master pieces, thanks mr youarelovedsomuch this goes to my favorytes right now, cheers and good luck to you . .

  • Indeed, the "top 10" represented here is an amazing and beautiful collection of music. I cant blame the O/P.

  • The tedious Pachelbel Cannon should be taken off the list and replaced by Georgia Lee, by Tom Waits

  • Good choice. I enjoyed listening to your selection. It got me thinking about my top ten.

  • good job

  • beautiful thank you

  • I remember PBS radio playing " Adagio For The Strings " on 9-11-2001. So poignant.

I would include Beethoven's Ode to Joy & Pastorale...but that's just my opinion.

    Excellent choices

  • but in chile listenin regeton and "los wasiturros" ¬¬

  • Bravo, danke!

  • Excellent taste! Thank you you for putting this together.

  • you are in my taste!

  • Great video thanks

  • Beautiful choices, but does anyone realize that a "song" is SUNG? What you have here are ten great PIECES , or WORKS of music, of which a few may possibly be called songs. Instrumental pieces are NOT songs! But wonderful work!

Whether we agree with the choices or not, this video is an excellent contribution to music education. I wonder how many students in public and private schools have heard any of these melodies, even those enrolled in music classes?

  • @Chelovyek If you listen you will hear the lyrics in several of these pieces

  • @48dodea I understand what you are saying--was just trying to point out one of the ironies of English. This is an excellent video, and has great educational value.

  • Excellent choices, but what amazes me most is how many people only comment to criticize the title, wtf were they expecting? that someone could actually name the 10 top of anything as subjective as a musical tase? maybe they are just looking for guidance..oh well let´s relax and enjoy the video. Thanks for posting

  • emy love you jesus my hart voor alles godxxxx

  • Well done, and thank you. You possess an acute ear for musical beauty, and of course, display excellent tastes.

  • @arspraestigium1 Thank you for a beautiful program. You picked all of my favorites

  • Thumbs up if you threw your arms up in the air like Sgt Elias

  • nice selection...Pachelbel`s Canon in D-minor still my favourite.

It simply makes me cry every time I listen to it...guess that`s what makes music really great :)

  • beautiful music and wonderfull selection , thanks for your video, this is the music more beautifull de world

  • When I hear " Intermezzo (Cavalleria Rusticana) " I start crying.... It has something... beautiful.

  • Magnifique ! Merci de partager

  • I always enjoy it when others share their personal choices of musical selections - best, favourite, most beautiful and so on. Many of your selections would also be among my own.

  • You left out Rebecca Black's 'Friday'. Truly a haunting and beautiful song.

  • moonlight sonata 3rd movement is really a lot more fun

  • Comment removed

  • Top Ten Fail.

  • @BadTanLines whahaha yeah,... Top ten Fail

  • YO-YO Ma....Great musician: Horrible name...who would call his own son YO-YO MA?! One can easily retard his own child giving him/her a name like that....Certainly one of the worst I've ever heard. Dudamel got the right name DUDA=Doubt in Spanish; I certainly have a lot of doubts about that clown. A sign of the times.

  • nice video man, truely nice!

but I have a remark, I mean I respect your taste and all, but Air should be n=1

  • Lovely- thank you. Have you heard Allegri's astounding "Miserere"?

  • 20 people are a chakas

  • Thank you for this and the wonderful sound quality, too! Love them all. Hard to pick just 10, isn't it? My list of classical favorites would necessarily include Pachelbel's Canon in D (played during my wedding ceremony instead of the traditional Lohengrin) AND topping the list (for me) is Beethoven's 9th Symphony -- the chorale as it crescendoes never ceases to give me exhiliration and JOY (hence "Ode to Joy"). Peace, everyone.

  • Isn't the song by Pietro Mascagni from the end of the last Godfather movie? Where there is all the flash backs of Pacino's character life right before he dies?

  • Interesting choices. I think it's good that you can seledt your top 10 like that. I have tried but find it impossible to select my top ten or 20 even. Well done

  • Check out my top videos :) , theyr a different genre but still awesome :D

  • good list imo.

  • Most of my favorites songs are from the baroque, I cans see you Iike it as weII

  • All are incredible pieces by some of the most influential composers. Great list! Though this is just a sample of whats out there.

  • I never watch a top 10 video expecting to agree with everything. Instead I watch to find out things I didnt know before. In this video I was able to find a couple of tunes I didnt know about and I thank whoever made the video for it.

    Stop hating

  • I like it!!! A lot!!!!

  • Hum...

  • I can't imagine compiling such a list without Mozart or Chopin, but nevertheless a good compilation of music that obviously touched this music lover. There's no reason to judge this selection as a failure; that would be pointless.

  • @MrDuboce

    who are mozart and chopin

  • -skips 6- that was horrible.. It must have been to loud on your side. O.o"

  • Add In your "oppinion". =D I do like them but i have diferent taste to this type of music. I'm trying to take it and recreate it into a techno but instead of beats, its going to be diferent ones at diferent times. =) Don't like to ruin good music.

  • Good job on both top tens they are very Beautiful music. I had no idea who did some of those now I know and will make sure I listen to them.

  • Very beautiful.

  • i cant find this one Franz Schubert : " Ave Maria "

-Performed by Leontyne Price And The St. Thomas Episcopal Church, New York

  • Where is Jethro Tull?

  • @1970vietvet In all seriousness, Wond'ring Aloud is an amazing little ditty - as beautiful as anything here. v=ORNS3yHWdL8 Prepared to be touched, if you have any soul.

  • @1970vietvet he is watching the pretty panties run

  • @1970vietvet, that is your personal preference OK?

  • Holy shit the first guy is Charlie Sheen!

  • 4:40 EPIC!

  • coincidentally im learning to play the number 1 song on this list right now. its not that hard ive only had 6 years of piano

  • lol he puts his top 10 of what he likes, and we criticize it and say what it should be instead of making our own. In fact if you people criticizing his taste know good music so much why did you click the video? just a thought:)....

  • @gdogvibes1 It says 'Top 10 Most Beautiful Song Of All Time', not 'My 10 Most Favorite'.

    Just a thought.

  • @dolofonos it's obviously going to be what he likes, what he deems is the top 10 most beautiful songs of all time. If you can't figure that out just by looking at the title, then I have nothing more to say.

oh and by the way he say's in the description (in his opinion).

probably for people like you who can't figure that out by looking at the title.

  • I just wanted to thank you for this great video, I found a song I have been searching for for 5 years or more, very happy. (8)

  • @willowshort1 which one?

  • (cont.) I do LOVE Classical music, but speaking for myself I could never say with total honesty that it contains ALL of the most beautiful songs ever written..or even the top ten for that matter. :/

  • (cont.)"Come Softly to Me", "Le Valse de Mille Temps" "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Wade In The Water", "Rock & Roll Woman", "In My Room", "Albatross","Bus Stop", "Across the Universe", "In Dreams", "Hallelujah", "Enjoy the Silence" to name but a few of the many songs that I would put up against any Classical music in terms of sheer beauty.

  • WAIT A MINUTE, I don't see "Ame Caline", "She Walked Through the Faire", "Sweet Thames Flow Softly", "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying", "Waterloo Sunset", "The Dolphins", "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore",

  • Mozart is unimaginative, sterile, and lame. It's like listening to mathematics.

  • @peanutaxis Oh come on...Mozart's music can be very imaginative, emotional and melodically beautiful. How many of his works have you actually listened to? Might I suggest you try some of the following: Adagio and fugue in c minor; Et incarnatus est from the Great Mass; 2nd movements of Piano concertos 18, 22 and 23; third movement of Durnitz sonata; Kyrie in d minor K341; Fantasia in c minor; third movement of Concerto for two pianos; second movement of clarinet concerto; Ave verum corpus; etc.

  • @peanutaxis pretty little boring boxes tied with pretty little ribbons. Curtsey and curtsey, you are so right.

  • weed and classical music ..

  • @kingmomo010 amint brother ...amin

  • Adagio for Strings is really magical.

  • I must admit, you picks some of my Classical favorites.

  • Top 10 my ass. Moonlight sonata should be 10, and the rest shouldn't even be on there.

  • No Purcell?

  • okay. i say adagio trumps atlest like the first bunch of them. i LOVE the cello suite, so nothing on that. and i adore moonlight sonata, but i wouldn't say these are the most beautiful of all time (although adagio is on my own list).

  • I don't know about the order, but I probably would have included four of these into my top 10 or at least top 20. Shame that moonlight sonata is number one. Of Beethoven's works, his late string quartets are by far his greatest.

  • Your list is interesting. It is obvious that you understand and love good music. Having said that, I am also sure you understand the futility of making lists like this. Apart from having some good fun.

  • So glad to see #9 Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring!

  • Johann Pachelbel's Canon will forever be my fave XD

  • umm vesti la guibba?

  • sadly alot of these are ruined by their overuse in adverts etc... i also personally find piano music far more beautiful than any choral music

  • Great collection, I got to add to my collection from here. For people who haven't heard of Juventus Rosa's " Over the Wave" waltz, give it a listen. The Blue Danube is great too.

  • 20 people are reggaetoneros

  • "Requiem" Mozart <3

    Beautiful video!

  • Number 8 is Superb!!

  • One thing I hate the most about uploaders is that it's their personal favourite, but they make it sounds like it's everyone's

  • @colbykhor Well, this uploader did mention that it's his/her personal opinion.

  • Just a remark here: Beethoven has never called his opera "The Moonlight Sonata", that's what critics named. The real name is "The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C♯ minor "Quasi una fantasia", Op. 27, No. 2"

  • that was a better time

  • @Neptunion118 Perhaps a better time for music. I'm not too sure about other aspects of life though.

  • @CanIHazPancakeMix no i bet your twelve

  • Could've scratched #7 off the list *yeesh*

  • Beautiful thank you.

  • A beautiful idea and collection. Ave Maria is my personal favorite of all.

  • Awesome and inspiring x

  • are you trying to be cultivated?

  • very good indeed. 7 peices are in my personal fave list too. let me see your other collection to see if they turn up.

  • How did Rebecca Black's 'Friday' not make it to number one?

  • I like Canon!

  • @Famfriass , eeh , I prefer Panasonic, but Canon has been around for long time too.

  • you failed. Why? because I don't see any Mozart compositions.

  • @acr429 mozart's compositions were more up beat. He was too young to create this types of songs.

  • @ColdRainMaker I suggest you listen to Mozart's darker works (Piano concertos 20 and 24, Mass in C minor, Requiem, Kyrie in D minor, Adagio & Fugue in C minor, second movement from Piano concerto 23, Piano sonata in C minor, Adagio in B minor, Ave Verum Corpus, and the Commendatore scene from Don Giovanni). Of course you can't compare Mozart to a composer who lived 100 years after him; it's a totally different style. But you're right, Mozart died young and no doubt he would have developed still.

  • @acr429 a little clitched don't you think?

  • @acr429 THen go listen to some and blow with your ignorant comments.

  • Was I the only one who remembered Tiesto with the song #10 ? BEAUTIFUL !

  • i like this video
