Yep, I believe it started in 1982 so they had six years to syndicate while the show itself continued on CBS till 1990.

Newhart I believe entered reruns in either '86 or '87. Most shows are eligible for syndication after completing four seasons, but sometimes they do not reach the required minimum episode count until their fifth seasons.
