First off, sales only depend on how well the company is able to market their product. The Twilight movie made more than the Dark Knight, so does that mean it's better? No, of course no.

Second, continent-wise the consoles are in a dead-lock. Both are doing better than the other on their home turfs, so it's silly to compare them. But in the third "big market", the PS3 is ahead.

because the xbox360 was released a year and a half more before the ps3 the 360 also came out during christmas and it was the first next generation console out so sales were good. Also the ps3 has generally has been way higher in price compared to the 360, look at the wii its the cheapest console and its sold the most see people buy cause of price not qualtity games or the power of the console. overall humans are silly strange creatures who will buy anything at a cheap bargain price!

Xbox is useless, all its exclusives can be bought for pc, so wii and ps3 owners can get all its exclusives anyway so it basicly has no exclusives bar halo 3(peice of shite) ODST which is pretty good and gears of war which is amazing, but bar that it has nothing, ps3 has tenths of great exclusives, free online, better graphics, capability, frames, potential, memory, and is more user friendly for the most part.

how about ease of use? setting up the xbl and playing with friends is much easier on the xbox. Live arcade and xbla community are awesome. You can't say it's useless :P It may not have the specs of the ps3, but it provides plenty of great services.

The ps3 definitely has some cool stuff, but the ease of use, quantity of downloadable titles, and access to community created titles on the xbox definitely make it stand out. IMHO the Sony does have better exclusive games. And PS3 does have a ton of downloadable games on top of the PS1/PSP re-releases

They focus less on "mainstream games" games that usually substitute depth, and innovation for the tried and true online+ shooting recipe. Leave that to PC gaming.

360 need more titles like Fable and Viva Pinata. Also they bought Rare awhile ago but no news of a new Killer Instinct other than unofficial rumors and nothing on a new Conkers.
