i think you can do that by hitting the picture editor in the actual interface, (i even agree that sort of made no sense) but yeah, cool, but i was expecting slow mo and stuff, imovie 08 is so horrible

these effects aren't just in imovie. i have final cut and when i export it to a quicktime movie i get these settings. but these are stupid because you can't really preview it without fully exporting.

imoviehd is a much better version. If u have imovie06, then ur probably gonna have some trouble uploading movies to utube. I had imovie06 once two years ago and I made my first horror movie ever, so I tried uploading it 2 youtube but it didn't have the right quicktime.

I checked the effects out and... I like imoviehd's effects alot better. I like these effects, but the reason I like imoviehd's effects better is cause it has lightning effect and fairy dust, and you can even do fish eye and everything, but this for the special fx u can only do lens glare and aged film effect. Instead of doing all this u can simply just go to the video adjustments (the little circle graph) and u can change the exposure, brightness, contrast, and saturation.
