God, in March 08 when this interview was added here, I was a Hillary guy - only started to believe in Obama around August 2008!! Perhaps 0.7% is too much of our wealth to give away, perhaps it's not enough, that's up to you to decide.

This man is truely what the people of America needs right now. It is so confusing to me that every single word that he says becomes a major debate, which in my opinion, is only a smoke screen to get away from the real issues. His words about lipstick on a pig in no way had anything to do with Palin. However, it seems that this play on words seems to work for some of the people to make such a big deal over absolutely nothing. Republicans are running scared in my opinion.

I STILL say the 'pig' comment was taken way out of context. It's a common cliché. Let it go. If he had said, "when pigs fly," would that have been considered to be about Palin? McCain said the same expression and no one seemed to care. This just shows how sensitive people can really be. If you're sensitive enough to think that a tiny 'lipstick on a pig' cliché could be about YOU and are actually willing to go out of your way to make a big deal about it, then maybe politics isnt for you.

"Lipstick on a pig" is a common expression in parts of the Midwest/South. I'm confused, how can you call a man sexist when he's on "The View"? If he were truly sexist, he would completely eschew "The View" in favor of male-hosted shows, would he not? Attacking McCain and his choice of a running mate is not sexism, but rather criticism/common sense. If anything, Palin's pitbull w/ lipstick hockey mom joke is sexist and stereotypical, yet I don't hear you championing women's rights on that one...

Read the Global Poverty Act that Obama sponsored it is frightening, it mandates the US to giving 856 billion dollars to the United Nations and third world nations. This could put the final nail in the already weak dollar. Also, it includes the UN Global Millenium developement goals, which includes disarmament of US citizens.

To put the Global Poverty Act into a context that makes sense (because 856 billion is a whole lot of money), the Iraq war has been going on for 5 1/2 years, and we've spent 550 billion on it, or 100 billion a year, whereas the GPA would be 856 billion over 13 years, or 65 billion a year, roughly 0.7% of our nation's gross national product. Perhaps 0.7% is too much of our wealth to give away, perhaps it's not enough, that's up to you to decide.

I say that whether it is for war or third world dictators, it should be up to the individual to give not our fascist/communist government to steal out of the pockets of United States Citizens. This is to meet the United Nations Millenium agenda which also includes unarming United States citizens, and we all know what happens to an unarmed population. Unless we get rid of the Federal Reserve and Income tax, these wars won't end. Besides our country was bought and paid for a long time ago.
