The 2nd generation SLK looks better this 3rd generation "thing" and the current BMW Z4. The new mercs look kinda fruity gayish especially the new CLS and SLK *sad face*. The new SL looks okay though but next time I get a convertible I'm going with Porsche. A car needs to look how it performs.

So what Mercedes is trying to advertise is that the new SLK is a creepy vehicle that would seduce a man with the sexy sat nave voice and make him drive. Sounds like women empowerment to me.

The first generation SLK mimicked the SL of the 90's, the previous SLK mimicked the SLR supercar and now this mimicked the new SLS AMG.... That's good =D

Still this is one manly SLK and I want one with a Japanese girl's sat nav voice like the one in the Nissan GTR japan spec >_<

@mondeost2202008 i dun like the overall look of the new SLK, roof up or down. i own the new BMWZ4 and its not perfect either. there are curve and valley that just doesn't fit well with the profile of the Z4. but given the choice, i would still go for the Z4. the only thing i like about the SLK is the day time running light which the Z4 dun have.

@hanielroswell1981 Well I never really liked the first gen z4 but I'm not much of an SLK person either partly because It has a reputation of being a woman's car but mostly because I don't like the front and the interior.

I agree. The z4s design isn't perfect but that silhouette with the roof down defines british sports car; front engine, RWD with a long bonnet and a short back not to mention a proper engine (Straight 6) which was always quite smooth. Interior looks simple but elegant.

@mondeost2202008 i've always admire the Z4 since i lay eye on the first gen. but the only thing that prevented me from buying it is the soft top look which spoil the look of the vehicle. so i was quite excited with the Z4 new retractable hardtop. i am not a roadster kinda guy so i mostly kept the roof up, but i like the option of dropping it when the weather is nice. but you're right, it is a woman car. its a car that will get you all the women :)

@ConstantSin i've check the site and turn out the day time running light is place inside of the 2 kidney grill and not on either side of the front bumper like the SLK. that in my opinion is just not aesthetically good looking. from what the saleman told me, the Z4 does come with day time running light, but it is build into the headlight. reason being is the Z4 is relatively a low yield vehicle and it defeat the purpose of having one on either side of the bumper.

I think this is one of the greatest car commercials of all time, if you can speak french of course. And, as far as I can remember, the SLK has never been a girls car, rather a European musclecar, which means it's not full of cheap American crap, but high-quality material, like a hypermodern suspention and safety features. Mercedes' new design line is simply mythical, by the way.
