A crime was commited by this kid. Once he decided to exit the store with unpaid merchandise, he committed petty theft. Once fighting he committed robbery, if he has no money on him, it can be deemed also as burglary. If he has commited another theft crime of any kind, he gets another charge.

Security gave the kid clear directions to put his hands behind his back. If he would've followed directions the whole situation would've been avoided. It doesn't help that the bystanders are getting in the way pulling on security. The force they used was acceptable too. No matter how old the kid is, if he's old enough to decide to steal something and then fight the people who are doing their job to keep everyone safe, then he deserves what he got. If he hadn't fought the security guys, they wouldn't have had to be so aggressive.
Just to be clear, the two men on top of the kid on the ground are Winco security officers. And 4:13 is a pretty fast response time for police. Maybe if whoever filmed this had used their phone to call the police instead of filming the incident, they could have gotten there even faster. Just a thought.
