  • The Court -- & the parties involved agree that Great Gig is a Richard Wright AND a Clare Torry song (Wright did NOT guide the vocals that virtually define the performance0.

  • @leahcim3360 If this is one of the best songs on her album I don't care to hear the lesser efforts. As a session musician you are hired to play on and embellish songs etc co writing credit for doing your job? bullshit ! Wright needed a better lawyer!

  • The band and Alan Parsons failed to get a good contract with Clare Torry...so, she was able to sue. Had they defined her role as a session musician in writing, she would not have been able to sue. She certainly deserved more than 100 bucks, but co writer? Well, I'd leave that up to Richard Wright. It's his song.

  • I'm gonna sue Pink Floyd because The Dark Side of the Moon made me want to get really stoned and reflective, after all, I was very impressionable way back then. It's all THEIR fault.

  • imao...cute & too funny...thnkx for chuckles

  • you yanks r r8 wankers

  • In all seriousness. I am currently involved in a lawsuit with Pink Floyd currently as I provided the coughing in the audience on the live album. I coughed strategically to enhance Gilmours guitar and haven't seen a penny. I will never work with those thieving bastards again as I felt my contribution made that album what it was. I think it's only right I get my millions too!

  • What about the Pigs, Dogs and sheep that lent their voices for the album Animals! should they get royalties also???

  • the unknown 6th member of pink floyd.

  • Where can I find this album to download ?!

  • She sued Pink Floyd in 2005.

  • @Fetcha200 what for?

  • @apocatie34 :I think she went into the studio, recorded The great gig in the sky, they paid her 30 pounds and she went on her way.Years later someone said to her ,hang about, the album sold 10 squillion copies, you should have got some royalties.

  • @Fetcha200 I don't think that's true, never heard that before.

  • @stickstam It's true, just google it. :) I think it was because they only payed her a 100 bucks to come in and didn't give her royalty money for being on the album.

  • @stickstam well instead of hearing about it just read the credits of the album.

  • @stickstam its true, they settled out of court and now shes listed as a co writer.

  • @Fetcha200

I sued Pink Floyd in 2005 too. I dont know what for, but it seemed like a trend at the time. The judge told me to fuck off and get a life.

I played tambourine on The Wall, but was cut out of the mix. Pissed, I was, pissed! All that hard work jangling away in a sound booth. Dang nabbit!

  • @bapyou She did sue...

  • I just can't help loving her

  • 1967 apparently. A slightly updated Alma Cogan at that stage. Quite the move to her magnificent vocals on Floyd's GGITS.

  • When did she record 'Carry on Singing My song'?

  • Wow,she was a great lookin lady....this does not capture her vocals but certainly one the all time greats.

  • She is great contralto singer.

  • She looks like Monica Vitti in this picture !

  • She is lively!

  • and she made many for to make the album dark side in the moon to go so far and high in the sky
