I love this scrub!!! My Question to you is do I bathe first then use the body scrub OR do I use the scrub first then bathe? I bathe first then use the scrub... Which way is best?
@TheSunngoddess You are using it correctly! As a matter fact I have created bath gels to use before using your scrub. Cleansing before scrubbing...that's the best. Thank you for watching, so happy you are enjoying it.
hey this is great...i used organic virgin coconut oil! it works wonderfully! I chose tea tree oil because i get acne and i added sweet almond oil for a yummie smell :)
THank you so much for telling me how to make this wonderful scrub. After you showed me how to do this, I made some myself and my daughter , Addison, had a sleep over and she wanted to make a mud mask, so I made this instead and they loved it! So thank you again.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your video...........I can't wait to make your scrub.....also i wanted to share the phonetic spelling of the oil .....HUH HOBA oil not JOEJOBAH......Im going to subscribe right now
I've watched a lot of videos on how to make bath salts and face scrubs and what-not, but yours is by far the best. Your love comes through on your videos too.
I've heard that the tea leaves rot in a couple of weeks, is that true? The person I want to give this to doesn't use scrubs often so I don't want this to spoil. :)
Anewwoman, i love this!! my skin is so soft and my new "Gentleman Caller" says my skin is so soft!! WHOO HOOO!! can i use almond oil instead of the sunflower oil? what other oils can in use and still have the same effect? LOVING YOUR SCRUB SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR THE RECIPE!!!
Great!!! Yes, you can use almond oil also, and if you like, you mix oils too. Safflower oils works great too. The more oils you mix, the better the effect. Thank you for watching.
no of course not. sugar strips away dead skin cells, thats why your skin feels so soft. but putting oil in your hair is very healthy. leave it on for an hour and wash it out. no sugar! lol
Awesome Video! I am just getting started making my own skincare products but I haven't done any sugar scrubs so this is absolutely perfect and the finished product looks so nice! Thanks so much for sharing. Would you recommend adding a colorant as well?
great video, thank you for sharing this. Can you please tell me this, how do you store the finished product? Do you have to place it in the fridge because of the honey? Also in the beginning, about how many cups of sugar and sunflower oil did you use to make this scrub. Again, thank you so much for this vid.
i can not seem to find that type of jar..walmart sell that type but like a super large size. I live in Los angeles California. Can you tell me where you found that jar? My mother's Born day is coming up and I had this in mind for her. Thank you sooo much. And God Bless you!
HOBBY LOBBY is the place! I hope you have one in California, if not, any craft store in your city should carry them. I hope this helps! And may God bless you!
Yes! it is edible, it does taste really good, and it is good for your skin-but it may be too much sugar for your body and teeth (lol) Don't eat too much-you WILL get a sugar rush! (lol) Enjoy! Thank you for watching.
I love the explicit and thorough directions that you give in the video. It makes is simple and very easy to understand. So cute how your daughter is a part of your company. I will make a scrub for my mommy for her birthday. Wonderful video and much success to you and your family and company!
P.S. I forgive you on the pronunciation of "jojoba" LOL :-)
Now see-you are asking me to get out of my comfort zone...shampoo? WOW! this will be a nice challenge, but now that I am a natural skincare "scientist" I KNOW that I can accomplish it. :) Just decided to read over the comments on all my videos today, and my eyes landed on this one, I will start formulating the recipe soon at your request. Thank you for the nudge, and for watching!
THIS WAS SO INFORMATIVE AND VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER!!! I APPRECIATE THE HARD WORK IT MUST HAVE TAKEN TO CONSTRUCT THIS VIDEO AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE CAN TRY. You are such a diverse person :)
I am so excited that I found this video because I recently became a fan of sugar scrubs and often wondered if there was a home recipe. I enjoyed the video being a black woman from the south just like you (my name's Roshunna, so that's a plus too!) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I will be on the lookout for further instructional vids.
Had a comment that I was pronouncing "Jojoba" wrong-made a big mistake and erased that comment-oops my bad! Well some people do pronounce it with and H-"Ho Ho Ba" which comes from it's origin *Mexico* and the southwestern part of the US, But the English translation is "Jo Jo Ba"-Well nonetheless, forgive me for being a country girl from the south, and I may say some words different :), so however you choose to say it, it's totally up to you, I just hope you guys like this vid! :)
this is great!

i was thinking if i added lemon juice would it affect the scrub in any way?
jjmcsw9923 9 months ago
@jjmcsw9923 If you put lemon juice in it, you will have to use it the same day, or keep it in the refrigerator before uses.

I've heard that tea leaves rot quickly. Is that true? The person I am giving this to doesn't use scrubs often, so I don't want this to spoil. :)
But thank you for sharing this recipe! :D
