  • Don`t wear the wig, everybody can see that you are wearing one if you do. Your hair is fine, don`t need it.

  • I'm glad you rocked the natural gurl!!!

    *big hugs*

    -Rochelle.

  • i was really glad to know that u didnt wear the wig after all,and stood up 4 urself :)

    u rock girl!!!!!

  • wear the wig. i love wigs. you're not disguising yourself, you have to dress the part. wear your real hair on your time. don't let your hair stand in the way of your future. this is still america.

  • OOPS!!! I am kinda late....by 11 months.

Well I hope you didn't wear the wig.

  • Thanks teeally! I chose not to wear the wig. :)

  • NO WIG!!

  • You have answered the question for yourself- you don't want to wear the wig-so don't. You look beautiful like this anyway- i can't imagine why you would want to wear a wig. Listen to your inner voice- it says "I DON"T WANT TO WEAR A WIG!!!"

    Love Megan xxx

  • DON'T WEAR THAT WIG! Be you, you're beautiful.

  • Be yourself and wear out your natural hair.

  • I think you know what you wanna do. You answered your own question. Go natural! xx

  • Thanks for confirming! I appreciate it a lot. Many blessings to you!

  • I've interviewed a fair number of potential applicants. And I would say your hair looks just fine. It's short and neat and I would consider it professional looking.

One thing you must do, if the job seems like one that is right for you, you must believe that you have already received it. And it will be yours.

    God bless,

    Ryan

  • God bless you too Ryan. I appreciate your comment. Hearing from an interviewer, that increases my confidence and makes my decision to wear my hair natural much easier. Glad to hear that you think that it's professional looking. I truly must believe that I have already received. Thanks so much and many blessings to you.

  • I think you look GREAT. Don't wear a wig! You look professional and well kept! Exactly what an employer is looking for!

  • I think you look great as you are!!

    Be your beautiful self.

p.s. Good luck with the interview on Monday.

  • Its sad that this even has to be a topic of discussion. First off, your natural hair is beautiful. But no matter what anyone before or after me says, SOMETIMES Corporate America does NOT accept natural looking hair. Of course no one can outwardly discriminate against people with natural hair but I dont doubt even a bit that it happens! I hope you get it, wig or natural! Good luck!

  • Thanks for your comment and compliment. It is sad that this has to be a topic of discussion, but the reality of employers today tend to frown upon natural hair. I really appreciate your blessings to get the job regardless of my hairstyle.

Thanks and many blessings to you,

  • Star!! you are a STAR...you don't need any help!

I plan to look more at your "hair journey" videos...GOOD LUCK on the decision...I hope you go with "natural"...it's cute!! ~ g

  • Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement. This hair journey of mine has been indeed a journey and I intend on making the best of this transition. This is me and I am not going to compromise or let others dictate who I really am. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Thanks and many blessings to you,

  • Stay natural...throw on a little make up if you feel like it...wear a professional suit... and blow them away with your personality and professionalism! I know you'll do well. Be confident sis!

  • You don't know how much this comment means to me. I appreciate it so much and I will always remember these words. I will blow them away with my personality and professionalism.

Thanks and many blessings to you,

  • :o)

  • Girl keep it natural and walk in there proud. Let them know who you are and if they are basing their decision on your hair then that's not the job for you and you will not be happy there...so leave the wig at home.

  • Girl, I am going to walk in authority. I am a Star and I am going to shine!:) I am going to keep it real! I appreciate your encouragement and optimism.

    Thanks and many blessings,

  • Star, I have dreadlocs and I work for a corporate company (I had my locs before I started there), so keep your natural hair. If they are going to hire you based on your hair then that company isn't for you. God bless and my prayers are with you on your interview!!

  • I think short natural hiar looks very professional. My mother had the same hairstyle, never stopped her getting a job.

  • Thanks for the encouragement and I am going to go to this interview with my head up high knowing that I chose to be myself regardless of what they may say about me.

    Many blessings to you,

    Star

  • DON'T DO IT SIS! I was just having this conversation with a girlfriend of mine. She has natural hair but wears wigs to add versatility to her style... what she did was wear a wig (because she loves them) for the 90 day probation period, then whipped out the braids and natural hairstyles after she passed the probation period. LOL That's not for everyone I know. I will always say stay natural though. Your hair won't be doing the work, what's under it will. ;) Be you, boo!

  • I am not going to do it SIS! Thanks so much for your encouragement. I don't know what I was thinking..trying to let go of what I have accomplished to please others. I can't please everyone now why should I let go of me. I have been real thus far, why should a let a career move stop me from continuing to do what is good for me. I am going to be real and true to who I really am.

Thanks and many blessings to you,

    Star

  • You are a Great Assett....So you will get the job that God ordained you to have. and God's will is perfect..so relax and put it in God's hands..

  • Thanks and I will relax. Anything in God's hand he gives peace. I am going to leave it in God's hands and I know that everything will be okay.

Thanks and many blessings to you,

  • keep your natural hair sweety..God will make a way..And you don't want to work for a company that would "judge" you for being a Beatiful Natural Black Women. As long as we show the world that we take pride in loving God & Loving our selves, people will respect us for that..Love you sweet...The job is yours if it is the lords will. Because like I said God would not want you working around people who would "Judge" you on your natural hair, instead of the content of your charictar...

  • Thanks so much my friend. Natural is the way and most definitely God will make a way. This encourages me even more to be real and love myself even more. Mainly believe in God and really stand on his word that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am beautiful and with that being said, I am going with full assurance that I am beautiful with my nappy hair. Thanks and many blessings to you,

    Star

  • keep your hair natural, your hair should not have a affect on your abilities to perform at a job. dont wear a wig.

  • You should just stay natural. N I understand about your career move. Weigh your options of if you dont get your wig. Is this the only chance you will get at this position? Is it more important to be you or have that position? Just some things to think about. I think you should definitely stay true to you though.Good luck with your decision.
