@mrArtystik The closest thing to a genre Bibio has is Warp Records. You can hear the similarities in his music to so many other artists on the label. If you like this, you'll probably like Clark, Boards of Canada, and maybe Autechre. This song in particular reminds me of Frog Pocket (signed to a different label)
the welsh word for water begins DWR and CAN is english for can, as in watercan, which is what Bibio used as percussion for this song and where it gets its name, check out his interview for Tape Relay
This track is definately influenced by Terminator 2: Judgement Day final action sequence when Sarah Connor almost blows the T 1000 away. The score in the backround at that moment is almost identical to DWRCAN
@adiamondonwings Search for him on Youtube, there are a few of his tracks up. Also check out Brainfeeder website (Flying Lotus) there's an Eskmo mix there with most of his tunes on it plus a few remixes—including the Bibio one.
Worth mentioning as well—if you like Eskmo or that type o' thing definitely check out Tokimonsta.
@Steeplehammer1 There are some similarities, no doubt, with the pretty melody struggling to be heard over the manic skittering beat... I think they can be regarded as two takes on the same idea, whether bibio arrived at it independently or not... I like both "versions" very much.
@lolinpinguin YES WAY. Skip to 3:57 and tell me that doesn't sound like Pen Expers. The skittering beats, the kit sounds he's using, all against the epic background melody. The very* first time i heard that i noticed it and other that i pointed it out to knew what i was talking about immediately. I'm not just taking a cheap shot ;)

Easily the best track he's put out to date, so solid and warming in the winter time. :)

@adiamondonwings Oh...and not to be confused with Eskimo—with whom I just had a terrible audio experience!
Eskmo also does a remix of Primus' 'Mud' worth a listen too.

@Steeplehammer1 interesting theory haven't listened to Autechre/Pen Expers enough to draw a conclusion though. But now I will!

For me this song is more like "Room 206" from Future Sound of London's "Lifeforms" album. Same structure, great follow-up.

@Steeplehammer1 NO WAY! there are enough differences in the two artists/songs . Bibio is not a clone thats for sure
