  • i just see pictures , i don't see vintage mack truck head bolts being sheired off..

  • Every guy that has new snap ons wish they went IR. I just keep beating on my IR's and they keep coming back. Im not a guru for them, its just the first one I ever bought and stuck with them....cant complain.

  • ya, just picked up a 3/8 snap on impact gun. works great compared to my old IR 3/8. that thing couldnt even loosen a lug nut forget about anything else. would have been better off using a ratchet. all im saying is if you want quality tools, buy quality tools. the extra money will pay off in the end.

  • IR makes Matco's and Cornwell's air tools.I have Matco's MT1769A impact which is a rebranded IR.

  • Thanks all for keepin my video forum rollin...appreciate the comments Ingersoll Rand Rules!!!

  • @kidkudro guess who makes the air tools for mac ? Ingersoll Rand. they have been building there air tools for years and years and putting a mac stamp on them. some of the mac impact's are hopped up and a hotter gun than Ingersoll sells. they dont last as long as the IR guns but they run like crazy . also some of the craftsman air tools are IR but they have been detuned a bit . snapon is still making there impact's and air ratchet's in the good old U S A but slowly moving stuff to china.

  • IR air tools are far better than any Snap on. Mac, Matco, Cornwell tools you can buy. For starters they are excellent quality tools just like most of the tool truck brands.. but heres the thing. you can get a IR Impact wrench with the same torque value and rpm as snap on or mac or w.e and pay 150- 200 less. Never buy standard tools off a tool truck. Only buy specialty tools that are hard to find or hard to come by. Your always getting shafted on price on those trucks. always

  • @G3TGh0sT IR makes Matco's air tools including Cornwell's.

  • @G3TGh0sT For a 1/2" gun, I feel the Snap On MG725 is the best available at any price. The IRs can't compete with it for power AND durability. I've owned about 10 IR 1/2 guns. I quit IR when the factory rep told me the anvils were breaking corners and ring retainer buttons off due to my worn out sockets. Funny thing that my MG725 isn't breaking anvils and it's 4 years old now. Same sockets. IMO IR is junk for everything but their composite 3/8 gun (2115) and die grinders.

  • @BobbyKos Snap On's impacts are flat out junk.I see them in my Matco dealer's tooltruck as trade ins and NO ONE wants them.Plus the hammering mechanism breaks in the Snap Ons a lot.You probally use chrome sockets instead of Impact sockets which wear out the anvils.I only own IR and been trouble free.

  • @wafrederick I own 2 MG725 and they have been problem free and more powerful than any IR I or any of my colleagues have owned. Heavier? - Yes. Junk? - Not a chance. I use chrome sockets on hand tools and Impact sockets on guns and air ratchets, so I still contend that the IR anvils are junk. I no longer have any reason to waste money on IR guns. The Snap On MG 725s are working well for me and have lasted 3X as long as any IR gun I have owned and they're still going strong.

  • @BobbyKos My father tried a Snap On impact once, nothing but a pile of junk and in for repairs most of the time.Snap On dealer he once had talked him into trying it out and my father told him to give his 231 back.I never had problems with the anvils on an IR wear out quickly.I even saw a Snap On impact with a seized up hammering mechanism my Matco dealer took on trade.Could not turn the anvil at all.

  • @wafrederick IR231? How long ago did you or your dad look at SO guns? How old was the seized gun? The SO guns use oil bath hammers. If some dilwad had a leak and ran it out of oil then, well, yes it will seize up. Car engines do the same thing when you run them out of oil you know.

  • @BobbyKos My father tried the Snap On impact and this was in the 1980s and was gutless.I don't know the age of the seized up impact, probally was the hammering mechansm broken.Snap On designed it way too thin.

  • @wafrederick You're complaining about a 30 year old Snap On gun that your dad didn't like and a single broken gun of dubious origin that you saw on a Matco truck. You want to see 30 years worth of broken and screwed up IR guns? I have them all in one place. All in a box along with the POS IR XP107 I was stupid enough to buy and a couple dead IR 212s. Your experience with Snap On guns is totally irrelevant to what is available in today's market.

  • @BobbyKos My father kicked out his dealer in 1998.Dealer treated him like shit and the service was lousy. Most of his Snap On stuff is worn out and the dealer he had would not replace them under warranty.Said anything worn out is not covered.Snap On is having warranty problems big time, dealers not wanting to replace a broken tool because it was not purchased from them.Snap On impacts are good at first and then go wimpy. This is one reason why my matco tool dealer takes them on trade.

  • @wafrederick Sorry about your luck with Snap On dealers. My dealer in Michigan is fantastic and exhibits none of the behavior you describe. I'm amazed that you're presenting what your Matco dealer tells you about Snap On tools as fact. Do you think he'd EVER tell you that the MG 725 is a good gun? Or that the IR Hammerhead is having dreadful reliability issues? Hell No!! You don't have first hand experience with current production Snap On tools, so your comments are only opinions.

  • @BobbyKos I now go to a Snap On dealer down the road in my area, see him on most weekends.Only Snap On air tool I have good luck with is their 3/8 air ratchets.Got one back from getting rebuilt and my other one is getting sent in to get rebuilt.I won't buy thier 1/4 air ratchets, junk.I will only buy the cheap throw away 1/4 air ratchets.I have one from Harbor Frieght that has been holding up great including an ATD,the same way with this one too.

  • My Boss is a die-hard Snap-On man and he wonders why I use Ingersoll Rand tools. Nearly all of my air tools are old style Ingersoll because the reliability is proven, unlike the newer high torque models that don't seem to last. I am also considering the purchase of an IR 285B-6 to add to my collection of Ingersoll products... I am not sold on the discount brands that popped up over the past few years: Aircat, Florida Punymatic, Harbor Freight, etc.

I did buy a Sunex cut off tool to try it out.

  • @dollman0

HI FROM NEW ZEALAND, INGERSOLL RAND IS RELIABLE....I JUST PURCHASED A 1 INCH DRIVE I.R MILITARY ELECTRIC "I.R IMPACT TOOL".

BUT FOR THE SMOOTHEST OF AIR GEAR I USE THE JAPANESE "SHINANO" RANGE THE NEXT SMOOTHEST IS "FUJI"..... SHINANO IS COMMON HERE AND AUSSIE.

WHEN U USE THEM THE SOUND IS SIMULAR TO WHAT U HEAR IN AUTO, AND TRUCK FACTORY ASSEMBLY LINES.

  • @dollman0 I just got a new IR titanium a few days ago, its a great gun. I agree, any air tool made by IR is a lot better than any that snap on makes.

  • Don't see any comparison here???

  • cool music

  • @HunterCO1 ,so what you think 20 years as a tech says something? i know alot of people thats been doing it longer than you they use real tools some of it snap off. but everyone knows i r is the best. when it comes to lasting longer and more power. no joke i have a question? what the hell has happened to snapoff ? the air tools are not fit for a third world country. the hand tool seems like they use steel from a craftsman plant , it doesnt seem the same as long ago.

  • @matcotoolguy68 I stand by my qoute I will put my mg725 any day any time any place let me know!

Oh and let me know when you want to back your claim up craftsmen is better then snap on dumbass. LOL

  • @HunterCO1 a 3/8 15mm short snap off chome vs a 3/8s 15mm short craftsman chrome ,i broke 5 sockets can you guess which one? my answer will surprise you.

  • @matcotoolguy68 my guess is the craftsmen since you already stated you hate snap-on. Your such a fucking idiot there is not even words LMFAO!

  • @HunterCO1 you guessed right ,good job . craftsman steel, makes you think doesnt it,money saved in my pocket . plus its american made, lol whos laughing now??but keep giving your money away ,when the truck pulls up be sure to give that payment for this week .

  • @matcotoolguy68 Dont worry lots of us are laughing are asses off you fucking moron. You really love to make a complete ass of your self don't you?

  • Comment removed

  • @HunterCO1 i am going to post some videos when is get some time.stay tuned

  • @matcotoolguy68 we all cant wait!!!

  • @matcotoolguy68 snapon hand tool's cant be beat ..

even tho i have lots of snapon air tools .. i still like my IR stuff better ..

snapon has the belt on the cordless impacts hands down ..

  • @theresaguninmytruck really ?

  • @matcotoolguy68 yep after 20 years I can't be fed full of bullshit I know what works what other bullshit would you like to feed me?

Anytime any place you want to back your mouth up let me know!

  • @HunterCO1 20 years thats a long time to know nothing

  • @matcotoolguy68 in 20 years you and your alter ego robby might know something!

  • @HunterCO1 we are not the same , you think you know everything about tools and all you know is about harbor freight and i cornered you a week ago and you backed down, did you get some rest or go on vacation or something ?your a cocky little man.this week .any time mr snap on. who wants some next??. hunter only picks on people who doesnt want to stand up for theirselves , or doesnt want to deal with assholes, i take all comers. when i was in my younger days i picked on the bullies, still do today

  • @matcotoolguy68 no douchebag I do it everyday for a living and have been for over 20 years so yeah I know my tools and what works. You obviousley are just a blow hard jackass to even claim air cat is better than snap on and any real tech is laughing their ass off at that ignorant fucking comment.

Now you want me to beat you and your alter ego robbie down some more let me know. If an when you ever want to put your aircat or IR up against my mg725 let me know.

  • @HunterCO1 i do it for a living .i do it for a living.thats all you ever say.i ll keep ir out of this , find someone with a aircat, hook them up , and aircat will bust the hammers out of a mg725, and i dont even like aircat. mg725 they are just noise that make people think they have something..nothing more than a beefed Campbell Hausfeld. you want more??? keep it up

  • @matcotoolguy68 yep I keep saying that because its a fact you fucking idiot. LMFAO your such a moron there is not even words.

Now back your mouth up jackass once again any time any place I will put my mg725 up against any 1/2 impact you wish.

Then again robbie its probably just just better for you to talk out your ass and give all techs a good laugh!

  • @HunterCO1 Campbell Hausfeld 725 isnt a match for i r 2135timax hunter. , tomarrow when you pick up that Campbell Hausfeld up pull the trigger and think of me would you.? one thing about that gun at least you cant break sockets with your 1/2. you can use my sockets any time you wish

  • @matcotoolguy68 LOL really are you serious ok your on so what do I win? holy shit your a moron. LMFAO!!!!

  • I will put my snap on MG725 up against any 1/2 drive impact on the market any day any time any place.

My matco dealer already lost that bet any other takers?

  • @HunterCO1 mg725 do have some power but wont hold up hunter.id buy a aircat before i would snap on

  • @matcotoolguy68 I've used aircats before because we had a small associate sponsorship from them for a while and I can honestly say that aircat is total shit. We took old Mac Tools AW434's which are 625 lb ft rated guns and ripped aircat a new asshole with the same air pressure and volume. The snap-on mg725 is strong but so are a couple of other guns on the market. Air pressure and volume of air make the difference as most people don't know the difference.

  • @cfaulc i dont care for aircat myself , but if i was in tight spot i use it over snapoff.you cant depend on a 725 it might work one day and the next day it will leave you hanging ,just my 2 cents but ive not had any luck with them.

  • My Matco dealer has been taking the Snap On impacts on trade left and right.Customers have been buying the Matco impacts since they are rebadged IR impacts

  • At least IR impacts do not have problems with the hammer mechanisms breaking and Snap On's impacts do.It is a huge problem with the Snap On impacts doing this.I seen one my Matco dealer took on trade which was refurbished

  • @wafrederick yeah tell me about it.they build the mechanisms thinner to try and compete with ir but as you said they cant.

  • you can still buy Ingersoll without the gel grip shit, sells me

  • Ask how many guys would trade their Snap On gun for an Ingersoll.........'nuff said

  • @Howardw007 Yea howard the Ho, how many guys have bent you over and pounded you with their Tools? I'll bet a LOT......lol

  • Awesome vid man!

  • as a diesel truck tech where lots of high torque fastners are involved, i would say ir is about the only air tools that cut it. snap on 3/8 air ratchet and cornwell air harmmer and really the only other air tools i would reccomend to anyone, and still, u couldnt go wrong with ir in those departments either

  • Maybe I should by some Danaher tools from matco at snap on prices or I could go to sears and buy the same shit for 1/3 the price.

Then I could go on the internet and claim I owned not just one but two of the same impact guns ..........well hers the catch I dont remember what they are excepts they were red LMAO

  • Stay with snap on Hunterco1 .They love you.

  • lmao, id say they do. snappy has a way with the weak minded ive seen them do some things a used car salesman couldnt pull off , and people love them for it.

  • @mrwhit1 yep dip shits are a dime a dozen I used to think like you 20 years ago. weak minded people cant back up what they claim.

My mg31 lasted for 7+ years and I just had one since I am not a super tech who can use two at once.

  • The only reason i have a extra is when someone breaks down they came come to my box and grab it.tool trucks cant be there 24/7 i care about what my guys. i want them to take home as much money as they can stand to make.i love tools hunter but i love money better.i think ive done decent in what money ive taken home to my family. my cornwell guy never tries to pushes me into a sale, i buy what i need not what i want.

  • @mrwhit1 fare enough but you do realize they are only going to grab one not two? IR makes good air tools in fact I would say they had the market corenered as the best for many years. I just have a problem with people who talk out their ass like you claiming you had snap on and it sucked. that being said its all good just dont talk out your ass and I will not call you out on it.

  • @HunterCO1 wow you are a real asshole.you told me that ir was junk and snap on was the best in the industry.

  • @matcotoolguy68 actually if you buy matco they love you as your paying up to 3 times the price of the same tools you can buy from sears, lowes or KD that is a fact.

Nothing wrong with those tools they are decent but why pay 3 times the price. Matcos 1/2" torque angle torque wrench is $514 its KD and you can buy it from KD for $260 so tell me who is fucking who?

  • I will take my snap on air tools hands down over IR. Had a tow truck come in for rear brakes nobodies impact would touch the lug nuts cornwell , IR and many others. I walked over with my snap on mg725 and blew the lugs off in seconds.

  • great film,i wouldnt trade my ir for any thing snapon makes, that red gun they make is a p o s ,period

  • your just a douchebag that cant afford real tools you probably shop at harbor freight also jackass. I will put my snap on mg series up against anything you got.

  • @HunterCO1 sorry you feel that way.i had 2 of the mg725s ,i didnt say they didnt have power, but the down time sucked ,they was sent off for repair 3 times each ,the forth time they went in the trash.time is money for me

  • Sorry your full of shit and never owned one I have had my mg 31 for 8 years its the little brother to the 725 and it just went in for repair for the first time.

Last but not least the final piece of the puzzle to show you are full of shit is if any snap on air tool go's in for repair 3 times they replace it.

  • your a little cocky dude arent you?my guns werent under warranty ,what are you 12 or 13? stick your snapon up your rear and hit the trigger.pos gun probably couldnt turn a turd

  • Nope but your full of shit the MG725 has not even been out 2 years and it comes with a 2 year warranty dipshit. There is no way you could have had one long enough for it to be out of warranty. Now run along little boy and bullshit somebody else!

  • dude your full of shit that gun is at least 4 old ,i know damn well its older than 2 years old ,cause i trashed both the red p.o.s's in trash early last year, unless i am think of another.red snapon gun .since your the snapon guy you tell me what other red 1/2 they had? either way i had them and they sucked

  • @mrwhit1 ummm news flash moron early last year it would have still been in warranty need I say more?

  • @HunterCO1 what gun did i have?

  • @mrwhit1 please tell me your joking you don't even know whay gun you had errr wait you claim you had two LMAO.

give it up already you just made a complete fucking fool of your self.

  • Comment removed

  • @HunterCO1 I know what gun he is talking about .Its that mg3151.That was a flop.Weak and underpowered.

  • @matcotoolguy68 douchebag it called the mg 31 owned one for 8 years now try again moron.

  • I only know part numbers. But you are correct mg31 is what they call it.But the part number is mg3151.I liked they way they felt but they was so weak. Why would you want a gun like that?I mean yeah they were noisey and sounded mean as hell but it was like all bark and no bite.

  • What kind of Ir guns do you own mrwhit1?

  • i have 2 2135timax"s and one 2115timax great guns. the guys that work for me have a little of everything.cornwell sold one of my guys a cp gun about a month ago ,i am just waiting to see how it holds up.are you a matco dealer ? we have one .he is a nice guy, snap on comes by but i dont buy a lot off of him, just enough to keep him coming back for warranty for my guys.ive been buying most of my tools from cornwell.

  • "Built for the proffessional!" They may make good tools but they sure as hell can't spell! Smokin!

  • Very simple....just ask how many guys would trade their IR guns for a new Snap On gun free of charge, then ask the same question to the guys who have Snap On guns...........enough said!

  • Arent those made in China?

  • As of December 31, 2008, Ingersoll Rand conducts manufacturing and assembly operations in 47 plants in United States; 28 plants in Europe; 18 plants in Asia; 10 plants in Latin America and 1 plant in Canada.

  • Whats funny is ive got a Snap-On impact that has stamped on it "Manufacured by Ingersoll Rand under liscens for Snap-On"

  • BS........show a pic!
