  • I lost my dad to cancer 14 years ago and watching this brings back so many emotions for me. I was only 9 years old when he died but I wish I could have asked more questions about his life and heard the profound wisdom he would have had to share. Instead, he constantly asked me about my life and how I was doing and had ME tell HIM stories. As your dad said, when you're a parent, it's no longer your life--it's your child's life. Thank you for sharing what I never got to ask my own dad :)

  • Fantastic documentary! Bawling my eyes out at the end! You are missed greatly Mike x

  • Mike sums up what it should mean to be a Dad we he talks about it being your children’s life. A great watch and a great reminder of what being a parent should be and Des' love for his Dad proves the point.

  • This was one of the most moving documentaries I've ever seen. I text my Dad straight away after it. Thanks for sharing this Des

  • Thanks for putting this up, I ran into you briefly in New York when you put that show on (I was the Irish comic on his way back to Sydney (if you even remember, you were very distracted that day)) I was very interested in see what you put together, alas no RTE coverage here. Great show, very poignant.

  • That was one of the most inspirational things I have ever watched in my life, well done.

  • Your Dad is better than any James Bond and thank you for sharing your story! Well done again.
