  • Rino Romano, Christopher Daniel Barnes Second...

  • Chris Barne First, Rino Romano Second.

Rino went on to Voice Batman in THE BATMAN series.

  • HARD! SO HARD TO CHOOOSE ARGH! Chris Barnes and whoever did the voice acting for the amazing spider-man in shattered dimensions

  • Christopher Daniel Barnes should do the voice of every Spiderman, in every movie, show and videogame, just like Kevin Conroy does for Batman.

  • Christopher Daniel Barnes is the best Spiderman voice actor ever. Whenever i see spiderman i imagine him speaking it. Spider-Man TAS is the best show also, and because of him he made it amazing and the best! He also does the voice of Spider-man Noir in Shattered Dimensions and Spiderman 2099 in Edge of Time. Chris Daniel Barnes is the best Spider-man, well he is Spirder-man, ever. So, No contest because Christopher Daniel Barnes already wins!

  • I think Chris Barnes was amazing lending his voice to Spidey.

  • 4th and 6th series

  • and did anyone here play web of shadows? spidey had a whiny bitch voice, it ruined the whole game

  • i really think josh keaton was one of the greatest voicest of spider-man, not too high pitched but not too deep and his delivery on the spidey's quips was great and they were usually the funniest although i know that depends on the writers. rino romano was way better in spider-man for PS1 than on unlimited and i thought NPH was sick in shattered dimensions. i grew up watching the 90's animated series with chris barnes and i thought he was awesome too... i can't decide

  • Paul Soles, even if he was too baratone for Peter Parker he had that voice of authority as a superhero like Spiderman. The voice actors from the second and third series would be a close second for me, I never really watched the later series as the animation quality was poorer, even worse then the 60s version, and I don't like CGI.

  • Chris Daniel Barnes is the best <3 He was spidey!

  • You should've put Tobey Mcguire in there. It isn't like there had been a lot of live action Spider-men so it would just be nice to compare all incarnations who have had a voice. Also, it would be useful to compare them side by side so I can convince my friend that Tobey Mcquire was a bad Spider-man.

  • @MajBlood I was really only comparing the animated voices, not live action. Otherwise, I would have put in the live action series from the 70's.

  • @GrilledMonkeyFat Well you should make a new one including the 70s version and movie version we can compare all renditions of Spider-mans voice. It would be much more popular.

  • @MajBlood Hmm, I'll think about it.

  • @GrilledMonkeyFat so you could'v put the ones from Spiderman video games & the movies games will you do that by editing this please?

  • @othablandjr That would be a totally separate video. I might make that one day in the future.

  • @GrilledMonkeyFat just do one with that shows the voices from both the cartoons & videos games in one whole video okay?

  • After listenening to all of the voices I would have to say that Christopher Daniel Barnes' portrayal of the character is the best out of all of them.

  • I'm going in first place Rino Romano, and in Second Chris Barnes.

  • Dan Gilvezan from Amazing Friends, no doubt!

  • Rino Romano is the best.

  • I heard Frank Welker's voice at :40, but I can't tell who the character is (Iceman?).

  • @Veggieman87 yes it's Iceman, from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, 1981-1983

  • @Veggieman87

It is Iceman. Also a famous member of the X-Men.

  • I grew up with TAS in the90's. So that's my favorite show, but all the voices suck.

Except Neill Patrick Harris, his voice is awesome (Listening to the Bro Code audiobook right now)

  • now i would put josh keaton as # 1

    but

    NPH #1

    Chris Barnes#2

    Rino Ramano#3

    Paul Soles#4

  • Rino Romano=Chris Barnes>the rest of them

  • Chris Barnes!

    Best series too!

  • Schwartz

  • i cant decide between rino romano and neil patrick harris

  • Josh Keaton is #1

Christopher Daniel Barnes and Rino Romano tie for a close second

I feel some ppl don't give Rino Romano props just cause they don't like Spider-Man Unlimited. regardless of whether or not that show is good or bad, can't deny Rino romano made a great Spidey. and he was even better in the first 2 PS1 games

  • Chris Barnes was only good for nostalgia. Josh Keaton captured the spirit and personality of Spider-Man perfectly. Not hating on Chris Barnes or anything but take off the nostalgia goggles and Josh Keaton blows him out of the water

Go and watch the video called Spectacular Spider-Man: Spidey's One Liners

  • Rino Romano hasn't been doing the voice lately because he's too buisey being The Batman

  • 94 Cris Barns

I so hate that loser they used for the live action series. He was too preppy-looking. Not to mentions a really bad actor.

  • I would put Spectacular Spiderman first, with Spiderman TAS (90's) at a close second.

  • Chris Barnes Today, Chris Barnes Tommarrow, Chris Barnes Forever.

  • Yeah I vote for Josh Keaton hands down.

  • Chris Barnes and Rino Romano

  • Josh Keaton is the best spiderman

  • 4,5, and 6

  • 4 or 6.

  • Why hasn't Rino Romano been doing the Spider-man voice lately?

  • They all sound great for the shows they voice in, when I read comics I mostly hear the voice on "Dan Gilvezan" or "Rino Romano" though. lots of time "Chris Barnes"

"Chris Barnes" on Spider-Man is amazing, easily the best voice cast for the 90s Marvel cartoons

  • Definitely the 1967 guy. He's the only actor that convincingly changed his voice when in costume so that you believed people like Betty Brant and J. Jonah Jameson, who knew Parker, wouldn't recognize him.

  • 4th series... all the way!

  • Chris Barnes of corse...that whole series was award winning. Barnes put more drama, sarcasm, and overall emotion into the voice.

  • keaton then romano

  • C. D. Barnes, then Rino Romano.

  • Chris barnes all the way! He is by far the best spiderman ever!

  • NPH!!!!!!!

  • chris barnes!!!! #1

  • I'm gonna say Rino Romano.

I don't know but his Spidey has this weird nstalgic factor to me.Can't really explain it.

  • hands down chris barnes

  • me personally cos i grew up watching the chris barnes version i think he is the best one. i also breifly remeber watching spider man unlimeted but that got canceld in england but at least in that sequel mary jane is actually found in the end

  • As an 80's kid I gotta go with Dan Gilvezan and Paul Soles. I'd like to hear more of Ted Schwartz. Barnes and Harris do a good job. Don't really see what people like about Romano.

  • @G2CondorJoe Romano is amazing, you heard him in the PS1 games?

  • @carbaj I've seen most of these series except for Romanos'. I think I had the Dreamcast version, but I never played it much.

  • Josh Keaton from Spectacular Spider-Man is the best.

  • Hey Dan Gilvezan voiced bumble bee! and the guy who voiced ice man also voiced freddy and magatron. Awesome. oh and before I forget...

Spider-man 2003 "don't worry I won't hurt you. That is until your asleep"

  • one man....... CHRIS BARNES!

  • chris barnes

  • i like the voice of the "spectacular spider man" :3

  • Chris Barnes ftw

  • Id sat the one from the Spiderman game for the ps1 witch is the 5th one

  • This is my top 4 list: 4. Ted Schwartz. 3. Patrick Harris. 2. Paul Soles. and number ONE IS: Rino Romano!

  • I think Rino Romano then chris Barnes,

the very old spiderman voices are funny as hell though have to admit :P

  • dan gilvezan was great. he had a humours sort of voice. perfect for spidy mockery. but also good to be serious on occassion.

  • Paul Soles is my fav he sounds like a spiderman thats meant for crime fighting no offense to the other actors

  • Paul Soles is the best by far! You cannot beat the original...

  • Its hard, because they all sound like exactly what I'd and most other people would imagine Spidey to sound like, but I think the best is Rino Romano from Spidey unlimited. Although I think he did it best in the video games for PS1. I would rank Chris Barnes second. Then the guy from the 60's cartoon. Because it suited what they believed he would sound like in back then.

  • @spideynut I agree with your thoughts on the 60's version of Spidey. The producers may not have been sure what Spider-Man should sound like, so they probably came up with the idea to alter his voice. I go into a bit more detail in my Spider-Man Special, do check it out.

  • @GrilledMonkeyFat 1. Chris Barnes he not only got me into Spider-Man because that was the show I watched growing up he was also very good with the EMOTIONS of Spider-Man not just the jokes(he was also hilarious). His voice is the one I hear in my head when I read the comics. Also he sounds like a college kid because he was only 21 when he was cast. 2. Rino Romano was also a great voice actor for him( the N64/PS1 game from 2000 is my favorite Spidey game. I think they were all good though.

  • @MegaPistol09 when i read the comics..i imagine chris but it comes out more like romano

  • @spideynut i agree with u to m8 i had spidey ps1 games aaahhhh good times rino romano for the new ultimate spiderman tv show coming out later this year i think

  • I love them all

You need to make a new video, but wait until "Ultimate Spider-Man Team Up" animated series is released, then release the new video

  • I like them all... but mostly the 60's spidey and the 1994 spidey

  • Chris Barnes, no contest.

  • a tie between chris and josh while rino is a close second.neil patrick was pretty good but he couldn't get a good spidey role due to the sixth series being hopelessly bad, the others don't deserve to be mentioned.

  • rino romano is definitely the best cuz he has the best ''smart ass'' voice I think. good for all the classic spidey wise cracks. and he was the voice for the old playstation 1 spiderman games so that gets him extra points.

  • Josh Keaton is the best. Then Barnes and Romano. They're all great, but the others are extremely strange Spidey voices for me... :/

  • Barnes was definitely the best Harris and Romano are tied for second best, then Gilvezan and Keaton. Soles sounded like he was constipated. Schwartz was pretty good.

  • COOL

Iceman is Freddie from Scooby Doo!

    lol

  • Thw 5th series

  • Er, i meant Soles......my bad

  • For me it's Barnes, Keaton, Gilvezan, Romano then Scholes

  • and Rino Rmano

  • Josh Keaton and Chris Barnes

  • Best is when Spider-man throws sarcasm, and the best voices to do that were 4th and 5th.

    Chris Barnes and Rino Romano.

  • Comment removed

  • The Paul Soles will always be my favorite. I grew up with those Spiderman episodes.

  • I personally think that they were ALL the BEST/PERFECT choices for the series they were voiced for at the time!

  • CHristopher Daniel banres is the best, IMO. Josh Keato nand RIno Romano are seocnd best, IMO. All 3 of them are fantastic.

  • Rino Ramano, Chris Barns and The actor for the latest Spiderman series 2008-2009 (forgot the name ^^;)

  • Chris Barnes is my favourite. But I like others as well. The 1st one, the 7th one- some others too.

  • Rino was awesome in the old games for PSX but Chris Barnes delivered the typical Spidey one-liners in TAS perfectly xD it would have to be one of those two.

  • Rino Romano and Chris Barnes.

  • From greatest to least: Chris Barnes (1994), Spectacular's voice actor (2008/2009), Rino Romano (1999), Dan G (1982), Neil Harris (2003), ted Schwarts (1981) and least is Paul Soles (1967).

  • Rino Romano

  • chris barnes = spider-man. end of story. (though the guy who voices spidey in 'the spectacular spider-man' comes in a close 2nd)

  • either chris barnes or rino romano in this vid, but i also like josh keaton, who does the voice in the newest show, the spectacular spiderman

  • chris barnes is pretty good. nph is the best though. unless the guy who voiced ultimate spiderman from the game who sounds like mac from fosters home for imaginary friends counts. then hes the best

  • IS THAT FRED AT 0:38

  • Rino Romand he is just awsome

  • Josh Keaton!

  • chris barnes all the way

  • Chris Barnes and Rino Romano are the best spider-man voice actors ever but they forgot Josh Keaton the voice actor of the new spectacular spider-man series and he's pretty good too.

  • I didn't forget. The series wasn't out yet. This video is kinda old.

  • Barnes and Romano...the others are pretty forgettable.

  • I'd say they're all good except schwartz.

  • How can you say that when Gilvezan has a huge fanbase, being the voice of Bumblebee

  • I grew up in the 80's so I'm going for Ted Schartz but Dan Gilvezan nailed it in the Spider Friends episode Along came Spidey.

  • What about Tobey?

  • Doesn't count. This is animated only.

  • Chris Barnes shares 1st spot with Tobey Maguire.

  • The first one SUCKS!!!

  • Chris Barnes hell yeah. I wishI had his voice

  • neil patrick harris ftw

  • Chris Barnes the best

  • I have to say, though, that there has not been a Spider-Man cast that has done a bad job. They were all good, but I went with Chris Barnes because when I think of Spider-Man animated, I immediately hear his voice.

  • Paul Soles was the first and the BEST!

  • they're ALL CUTEEEE

  • Barnes for sure.

  • Chris Barnes

  • Paul Soles 1st

    Chris Barnes 2nd

  • Chris Barnes

  • rino romano

  • 3rd, followed closely by 6th.

  • 4th series

  • Rofl i never knew Neil Patrick Harris was spider man. All i can think about him now is him getting high and drinking with whores.

  • What about the one from "The Spectacular Spider-man"?

  • This video was made before the show aired. But I'd have to say that Josh Keaton's Spidey is my favorite teen-Spidey ever; and Chris Barnes or Rino Romano for adult Spidey for me.

  • Really? I love Rino and Gilvezan, but I could never really stand Barnes.

  • chris

  • Chris Barnes by far

  • I think each has been great for their series but Barnes is probably the definitive one for me, even though I'm not that big a fan of the 94 series. He was incredible casting. Josh Keaton and NPH have been pretty good too. I've also been a fan of Quinton Flynn in the recent games and such.

Can't believe I didn't realize Dan Gilvezan and Ted Schwartz weren't the same voice actor until recently. I really wish I had the 2 80s series on dvd.

  • 1994 serie voice to me the most of the other sounds like there in there 40's to 50 the 1994 serie voice is the only one that sounds right

  • The 1981 series also had an awesome Dr Doom: Ralph James!

  • 1. Christopher Daniel Barnes

    2. Ted Schwartz

I chose Chris because his voice "fits" Peter Parker's personality and appearance. I have to say, though, that i was REALLY impressed with Schwartz's performance in the 1981 series. Ted is a great voice actor.

  • Chris Barton FTW. I wonder if he did the voice of Spiderman in Marvel Super Heroes fighting game not the platformer

  • Chris Barnes. Easy.

  • rhino romono

  • Chris Barnes is the best for spider-man next to Neil Patrick Harris. And I say that cuz MTV didnt give more episode for Neil to become #1

  • Even though I grew up with first couple of seasons of SM (70s)I gotta go with Neil Patrick Harris on this one. Too bad they didn't give that MTV SM series another shot.

  • no itsd Keaton by far!! Barnes gave spidey personality.

but Keaton is classic, thoguht, and nice, he has the peter parker, sence down.

  • okay my pick is this.

    1.Josh Keaton

    2.Chris Barnes

    3.Ted Shultz

  • wait your forgetting josh keaton!!!!(seventh series, spectacular spider-man)

  • Check out the date. I made this video long before the series came out. Gotta say I don't much care for the voice on the new series, or the series itself. Call me old school, or just old.

  • well,But at least we both agree with Ted Shultz, and Chris Barnes.

  • Rino Romano

  • I like them all the 1999 one is kinda weird though

  • I just don't like the first 2 the rest I like.

    Best is Chris Barnes

But I don't remmeber and hanv't saw the last serie on this video?:S

  • My top 3 picks are:

    1.Chris Barnes

    2.Ted Schwatz

    3.Neil Patrick Harris

Ted schwatz should have been in amazing friends he was far better then dan gilvezan

  • I agree with Schwartz not being on Amazing Friends. He should have been. I haven't seen an explanation as to why he wasn't chosen to do the voice.

  • My top 3 picks are:

    1.Chris Barnes

    2.Neil Patrick Harris.

    3.Rino Romano

  • chris barnes,no contest...but the 2 after him are better than dan gilvezan.and besides one of 'em is Neil Patrick Harris!

  • dan gilvezan gets my pick.

  • Oh Shit? Neil Patrick Harris aka Doogie Houser does a GOOD of Spidey, too

  • Paul Soles of the 60's cartoon is the BEST!! Ted Schwartz or whoever sounds like a Gay Rights Advocate Spidey. HEHEE!! :P

  • Soles & Schwartz by far

  • 1994!!!

  • I really think Chris Barnes does it well. The ones before sound like 30-40 year old guys, and the ones after sound too young or teenage. Chris Barnes fulfills the role by being young enough and not too geeky.

  • Neil Patrick Harris.

I like the other guys, but for some reason he just suits the character so well.

  • Paul Soles is the best one....and has the best theme music playing in the background during his Spidey remarks(and even if the music is dated.....it's still kind of cool)....Rino Romano is probably my 2nd favorite.

  • i like the sixth series voice the best

  • I'll have to say Neil Patric Harris, and did anyone notice Iceman's voice 0:40 was Fred from Scooby Doo

  • that's frank welker. wiki him.

  • this is too hard i need more clips

  • 81' Ted Schwartz all the way

  • 1994 hands down

  • Fourth Series 1994, CHRIS BARNES HANDS DOWN!!!

it's simply its the best voice acting for Spiderman!!

did anyone else notice that iceman sounds a lot like fred from scooby-doo?

  • Probably cause it is. That's Frank Welker, who also voiced Ray Stantz from the Real Ghostbusters.

  • Chris Barnes takes it away... then its Harris

  • Fourth Series - 1994

    Voice - Chris Barnes

  • Fourth series, Chris Barnes, is my favorite for Spider-Man. He sounds like the best nerdy, wise cracking teenager. Plus, that's the one I grew up watching.

The fifth one sounds exactly like Sonic The Hedgehog though, don't it?
