All this sentiment is just ridiculous.Once upon a time there was a morning show called TV-AM and eventually that came to an end as well.That all been said ITV have made a huge blunder in having Adrian and Christine presenting this just because they did the One Show on the BBC, I guess only time will tell.
@Robotdrummerzzk i agree. i was born in 97 so i dont remember TVAM but ive seen the clips and it looks so much better. daybreak is good but its just the content. they spent about 90% of the time reading twitter messages, i mean come on!!
GMTV will probably be back soon. Nobody watches Daybreak, and a few days ago, they only got 600,000 views! That's 100,000 people down from the previous week! The studio's too dark, and they don't interview very man celebrities, and it's all news, news, news. And 1starryeyedkid is right. It's basically the one show in the morning. GMTV will be back by January-March 2011.
I do miss GMTV! I just can't believe how laboured the whole thing seems. I never watched 'The One Show' so don't know what all the fuss is about the two presenters. But to me Adrian Chiles is pretty lack lustre. Is he really that slow?
@1starryeyedkid It usually flops when they try to recreate stuff-lets see how long it lasts..Have to say the first week was flat & a bit desperate-worst of all is Chiles trying to work with the autocue..does he need glasses or something? Yes, very lazy.
The Big Breakfast channel 4. Best ever breakfast show ever. GMTV was a orrible orrible breakfast show that ott every news report and just simply did shock tv.
I loved waking up with GMTV and will miss it. I was 1 when it started so I have grown up with it and I think it is sad that it is being replaced :( R.I.P GMTV
It's a shame GMTV finished as all the guys were really great. I enjoyed getting up and seeing all their cheery faces.
Although I am sure the new two will be good as a two some and I did enjoy watching the one show with them - I didn't watch it every day as it gets a bit boring watching the same faces day in day out for five days. Sorry but at least GMTV guys changed with Andrew or Ben, Kate or Fiona....

the reason why daybreak wont end or fire christine and adrian
because execs have to pay the presenters full contract fee
so we are stuck with it sorry guys and gals because it's a union thing
with the studio who makes the show so both adrian and christine
are locked into the contract both with the show and itv and they can't even quit
thats the way it goes in the entertainment biz.

now most great morning shows have ended theres realy
no point on getting up in mornings anymore you just basically get bored
silly with depressing daybreak the morning yawnfest it's so sleep putting
you might as well stayed in bed for couple of extra hours but deliverie men defeats
that by arriving sometimes at 6.45am so either way your tired and bored
bring back tvam for the love of humanity.
