I personally can't stand the AF CSAR. Ya'll fly reckless, pop flares over the FARP, dump your patients on me and my crew then only take the missions that bring you glory and publicity. Bad experiences, and I hate that......DUSTOFF!
When my crew crashed in Nuristan Valley Oct '09 looking for a MIA C12, you guys said we were too high to reach and ignored the Fallen Angel... Yet the next day you guys somehow managed to make it up the valley to retrieve the C12 wreckage. Y'all are so freaking gun shy it isn't funny. Better luck next round Night Stalker posers...
@TheCarlious That's funny cuz if u read ANY blog comments from Pedro dudes, all u see is admiration for Army and other assets like ours. We can't do it without rockin as a team. When u turn 20, you'll understand.
Books like The Kite Runner and Afghan Hearts & Minds make people more aware of the great country of Afghanistan. Just the same, this kind of video allows us to understand more about what's truly going on.
Seen pictures of British troops in there, glad your saving any person injured out there, I hope to go into the British military and hope your there if anything happens, I would gladly go out save any soldier.
Thanks to all of you who were out in it, are out in it and will go out in it...... our country owes you everything and thank you is not enough. Stay safe always.
@dloghin First song is called "The Things I've Seen" by the S.P.O.O.K.S., the middle song is Johnny Cash covering Tom Petty, and the last song is the Kings of Leon!
Thank you for the pics. I have been working towards becoming a CRO for the last two years. I finally graduate from college next year and get to try out. This is the first good illistration of what a day in the life of a PJ/CRO would be like (that I have found). Thanks again for making this available.
Mwenthe thank you so much for this post as well as the "Pedros" video. Media is lacking on frontline military operations particularly Pararescue operations. It is a pleasure to view a glimpse of the environs of said operations in Afghanistan. Thank you. I can only hope everyone comes home safely
@mwenthe Yeah i was of them on the ground, almost got you guys in the head when you landed 30 feet behind me. One of the guys, the one who where shot in the leg, was back on patrol 14 days you took him out.
The rescue is actually featured in a documentary "Armadillo" which got an award in cannes movie award.
The work you guys did and do are amazing, it means the world to us grunts on the ground knowing we got you guys coming to get our wounded out.

Great Clip. You guys are amazing. I worked with you first hand on Aug 26 in Nawa when some of my fellow Marines from A1/5 got hit. thanks for the great work!!
@Crujones16 Great work in Nawa. I spent a couple hours on the phone with the producer of the upcoming documentary about you guys called "Jaker". He wanted to talk about the events of the 26th and a couple other events. Some of the pics in the slideshow are from the 26th.
i remember you. you were crazy doped up. after we took off i thought i was gonna get a touching helmetcam vid of you and your bud holding hands to comfort each other, but you started thumb-wrestling. i was rollin'. BTW, how's all your guys doin'? well i hope...take care man, Pedro 35, out.
hahaha yea we were. just cause we were injurede doesnt mean that we couldnt train for the world thumbwrestling championship. all the guys that were on the hello with me are all fully healed up now. but do you have any video or pics of us that you could send me? thanks for saving me:)
i sure do...just gotta find em. i'm sure they're on my hard drive. how do you want me to get em to ya? i have our infil, exfil, and enroute. i'm very glad to hear you guys are doing well. believe me...it was completely our pleasure to pick you guys up.
Have the upmost respect for the PJ's, i'm going for medic in the army, but i know i will be no way close to knowing what these guys go through, i hope i have the pleasure of working with them at some point.
Thanks for doing this. You caught several pics of our son and we appreciate that. He's the funny guy from Nellis. Great job to all. I'm a Nam vet and I know what you guys do and honor you for that!
