  • That's what I was going to do with this one. It's set up for the original horseshoe "floating power" mount that's attached to the water pump.

This one is completely built: new forged 10:1 pistons, balanced, reground and nitrited crank, stainless valves, port matched. It's a 56 truck engine bored to 57 specs.......325 cu.in.

I've got $7,000 invested in the engine. That's what you'll spend if you redo one of these. If you're interested, make me an offer

  • I was thinking of putting one of these in my '53 Dodge pickup.

  • What's the cid on that? It's funny to think that of that engine coming out of a huge old chrysler that a middle aged guy wearing a suit might have driven.

  • wow thats fucking sick dude

  • Friend of mine had a '57 Imperial he wanted to take the 392 hemi and cast iron automatic into my '53 Henry J... I declined, I thought it would make the nose drag the ground :P I ended up putting in a 215 Oldsmobile aluminum motor in. 215 cid putting out 200 HP from the factory, The same motor dies sold to Rover. Good motor unless you ran it loow on water. I had to have one of the combustion chambers welded up and a new exaust seat on one of the end cylinders. It melted around the exaust.

  • Is that out of a Desoto or Imperial? Its so cool..I love it!

  • Buick engines are pretty solid too. Like the famous 3.5 V8 Rover engine. Its up there near the Hemi as one of the best engines made. Also another one of my fav's is the Audi 4.2 V8 engine. Really nice smooth unit.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's sold two years ago

  • sounds almost as good as sex.

  • starts up better than stock huh lol.

  • I like the fuel system and cooling system....looks like some of the things I've done.

  • Brought back some good memories of my 1955 Dodge red ram. converted a 270c.i. polyhead engine to hemi by swapping out the heads and pushrods. Had mallory ignition, headers 2 spd powerflite. 1967 rearend with 4:89 gears.. ran it in A/KS at Islip, Westhampton, & New York National Dragways in the mid 60's. Still have 16 trophies sitting in my garage to remind me of the good old days. Good looking iron, Chief.

  • the best V8 EVER these motor are works of art, for being mad in the 50's the are excellent motors and the casings are perfect.

  • sounds like it could use some better flowing exhaust like some headers.

  • I can "Hear Those Horses" just by listening to this machine idle!!! Chrysler sure new how to build a motor.

  • we have 254 i think 2 barrel and a 4 barrel for it

  • Hey Mack how much for the Hemi?

  • mmmm that's the way a V8 should sound. hemi's have that magical tone like no other V8. \m/ \m/

  • Those are exhaust manifolds 30 GB

  • That could just put me to sleep, i dunno about you guys....

  • crappy headers but very very nice engine through

  • wow, that is a wondeful sound.

  • i have a 331 hemi just like this and the 1951 imperial to mach but it needs fuel pump and a oil filter would you know web sit that can help

  • @pinkflod768 Try Rockauto for the fuel pump and you should be able to get the oil filter from any auto parts store.

  • thanks
