while i dont agree with everything RFK says, i respect that he does his damn homework. he's as misguided about GTA and video games as FOX news is about "balanced" reporting. But i love that he names names and documents things, hard to argue facts.
He was saying that red state people who are supposedly more moral play more violent video games than those evil liberals. You would have to be blind to not see GTA is a game that glorifies violent crime and its culture, regardless of it that bothers you or not.
That troubles people, and for good reason. The media we engage in influence our perceptions of reality.
I disagree, the bottom line is parenting. stop blaming games, tv, music and everything else for bad parenting.
Did you know GTA is rated M in the USA? that means no one under 17 should have it. stores should card and parents should know what their kids are doing.
will GTA warp a 5 year old? possibly yes, but what the hell is a little kid doing with GTA? if people are too lazy or too soft to control their children then dont be blaming the media.
and it is still up to the parents to know who and where their kids are hanging out. the bottom line is awareness and involvement in your kids life. there are no excuses and blaming video games or music is a cop out.
I would also recommend media studies, taxes, economics, privacy, tyranny and the role of guns in freeing people. Even courses on heresy and atheism, but of course courses that conflict with government or religion are generally taboo or forbidden. A free society cannot flourish through blind obediance and restriction, but I tend to wonder if the goal of school maybe something else than a free society for all to enjoy.
I agree with many thoughts, but I only say this to remind people, he forgets Hitler also instituted "mandatory public education" as well, for obvious reasons. Education alone maybe not the answer, but actually teaching thinking to kids, such as law, logic, philosophy, business in high school instead of college would probably change everything. People have to demand these kinds of changes, which makes them improbable in our current media environment, despite the efforts of the net.
who gives a damn.. I say what does RON PAUL say about all this! :P It don't matter who says what, the lesson here is to for every one of us stop sitting on our asses and expect "them" to tell us what to think. We need to investigate and understand what really is going on from our own personal understanding of it.
The speech was alright, people need to realize, including Mr. Kennedy here, that both the R's and D's are in it together.
Forcible state education was a real popular line for the crowd there but look where its gotten us today. If the corrupt government has co-opted and corrupted the press, then whats leading us to believe that government schools are teaching us what we need to know and not just feeding us propaganda?
well, you are SORTA right. if the gov forcibly raised the level and quality of our education system it would work. but like carlin said, they got what they paid for, they want a dumbed down american public.
Isn't that precisely what Nochildleftbehind is, a forced mandate on higher test scores and curricula? Why do we need bureaucrats to determine what kids learn, why not teachers? Because if that were the case, kids would learn important truths, such as the nature of the Fed and our financial system, instead of state-glorifying horseshit about how great FDR and the new deal was.
thank goodness someone is ariculating this attack from corporations through our cheating officals. he drew mt attention to the virginia mountains being leveled out as we speak. like the chem trails they just dont tell us. thanks to the deviating derelicts in office.
Its funny when you start to look at these people at the top in the EPA, FDA, etc. A WHOLE FREAKING LOT of the time they used to have a job working for the corporations they now regulate against (b/c the FDA protects us from big business) Right!
That was truly an incredible video, thank you for posting this! Greg, awesome stuff! Please keep beating us over the head with the truth...we just may wake up before it's too late...
Wow, spellbinding speech. And every word was 100% true. I'm going to spread this video on a few other sites now. This vital information needs to be heard!
In forty entire days on YouTube, only one person in over a hundred thousand Americans have watched this Essential Speech by RFK! "WAKE UP AMERICA" This is an "OBITUARY SPEECH" for a "NATION BLEEDING TO DEATH" by the thousand cuts from a treasonous media.
Soldiiers in iraq are being criminally denied the right to vote by neo-con "voter caging" tactics. U.S. Attorney Griffin has resigned over this revelation...(exposed by Greg Palast). Democracy is being privatised... cry for your freedom.

Ron Paul would make it far easier for wealthy individuals to control our society through deregulation, just as Bush did.
If you want real change for the better, vote Socialist Party USA.

because the media wouldnt give him 5 minutes of airtime, most people pick who they vote for by party lines or by how someone looks on tv.
