The man talking about NLP "pillars" doesn't really explain it within the context it was created and in fact makes no sense in the way he's describing it. "Pillars" are a very old term in relation to NLP and until I looked it up, I had no clue it existed. I think the TOTE model sums up the pillars rather elegantly. NLP has nothing to do with mind control what so ever.. And anyone who becomes curious about it and studies it knows this

There's another way to avoid mind control. Get a basic education and develop a healthy habit of asking "why?". NLP is just a fancier term for what all animals do but we humans have mostly forgotten. None of these people explained NLP in any sense of the term. I'm not going to just put people down but I want to educate. NLP is hard to define given its broad horizon for application. Basically its the understanding of unconscious influence. Its not mind CONTROL and you don't MAKE PEOPLE do anything. You guide thoughts and suggestions etc. Learn and educate yourselves and don't be fooled by uneducated none sense.

Cool. I have utterly no certification. But I'm pretty confident in my knowledge. This is interesting with no video and just a comment but hey let's do it!! NLP is not mind control. NLP is a scientific approach to understand and improve the way people think and feel. It's first purpose was to understand why great therapists were getting better results than other therapists. This is called Modeling. You learn to replicate and teach a skill or consciousness.

One basic difference between mirroring and matching is timing. While mirroring is simultaneous with the other person's movements, matching can sometimes have a 'time delay' factor to it.

CROSS-OVER MATCHING is choosing to match one of your behaviours to a corresponding, but different movement of another.
