What?! I cant understand anything being said but the wide spectrum of evidence all suggest that most of the religeous persecution is being carried out BY BUDDHISTS against the mostly Hindu's and to a lesser extent, Christians and Muslims. And if you doubt that, listen to what the Buddhist monk Athuraliye Rathana has to say about Tamils and peace. Or look at the Buddhist parties policies. I dont understand where this delusion of victimhood comes from. And Im Buddhist

@Bakmoon Exactly! The Shramanic religeons also deplore self interest, tribalist values and association fallacy. Thats why as a Tamil Buddhist I cant understand how people calling themselves 'Buddhist monks' have preached racism for years, orchestrated a genocide and used lies, violence and terrorism to turn Sri Lanka into a Buddhist theocracy. Surely this is not our way? These people are devoid of conscience and empathy and act instead out of self-interest (the opposite of what Buddha taught)

@1982mockingbird1982 As a Buddhadharma person i'm not happy how certain Singhalese Abbots have misused their positions to act in the opposite way the Buddha taught. It's not the only example in Buddhist history, therefore i'm confident,that the Buddha was no Buddhist & truth is often abolished in Institutions...how sad.

Gautama Buddha made clear, that the decline of his teachings will come from within !

let's stick with the Buddhadhamma instead of Buddhism.

@Chamath5, I am a Christian myself, and in general I have studied and understood that only buddism, speaks about the reality, if you live by the teachings of buddha, it cleanses ur soul. I beleive that buddism is the great religion and we as Sinhalese should be proud that we are of such decent..

Any Christian who kills a monk is not a Christian at all. Who did Jesus Christ kill? No one, in fact he was killed by others of his same religion. Don't judge the people, judge the religion itself. Read the Bible and look at God.
