She is always singing at her shows but the mic is always turned down. I wouldnt want to sing live either if I was dancing. I would rather lip sync than sing terribly. Her concerts are for the dancing. She is a performer.

@jRayzSenOrita That's the point Britney fans have been trying to make forever, when you've got girls who enjoy the glits and glamour, and gay guys who are in love with her performances - why would you sing live? I love Britney, and I love her concerts just the way they are.

She has to sing along with the tape at rehearsal to test the mic volume. If anything happens during the live show, she will have to start singing live, so it's important to test it out.

But during the live show, she is always intended to lip sync. She, of course, always has the choice to sing along. But why do it? It isn't necessary for her to do so to be successful. Her concerts are about visuals, not the vocals.

I'm not a huge Brit fan BUT it is very hard to sing and dance at the same time. It makes perfect sense to lipsynch when you're already out of breath from dancing so much.
