@MoonIMover what you do is you beat poke/prime cup and use a pikachu from pkmn yellow (you need a transfer pak) for all the battles (or in the three selected pokemon that can go into battle, it doesn't have to be used) in round two. and you unlock surf for the pikafumanchu and when you go to the beach near fuschia city (i think, it's been awhile since i've been there, just started a new one recently so I've been working on getting surf again) and talk to the guy with the surfing pikachu.

@TheMinh234 dude if you transfered him to pokestadium to learn surf and back to yellow he can surf in any surfable water. pikachu is my surfer in my save file, and if you cant use poke stadium you need a codebreaker code or gameshark code to force one of his moves to be surf

If you look long enough, you'll see that Pikachu is indeed going forward. However, the wave effects + waves itself contradict Pikachu's direction. That means that the waves are faster than Pikachu, and Pikachu just rolls over the waves. Tadaaa.

Allowing myself to comment on my own video, I like how due to the fact that Pokemon Yellow could only have a certain amount of colours on screen at a time, they had to make Pikachu's cheeks blue. XD

@PekoponTAS That's because GBC sprites can only have 2 colors. Thus having red cheeks couldn't be possible since there's already yellow and blue on his sprite. Of course, that could have been avoided if they made the sufboard red to boot, instead of blue.

In the case of monochrome versions that is Black, White (or rather blank pixels) and two shades of green/gray, and in the non-monochrome versions (Color as well as Original when enhanced by played in GBC or Super GB) is black, white and 2 colors. As you see, one color forceably has to be black, you can't avoid it..

The effect of shades was added through putting black pixels between the colored pixels to make the coloring look darker from afar, but look closely and you'll fnd that there is no shade, just an illusion.That's it: two colors to give variety and black for shades and outlines, but nothing more.

You cannot teach Pikachu surf in red either, even if it's the one from yellow. The only legit way to get him at that point was through Pokemon Stadium.
