My 'aha' moment came when my teacher who headed the sonography program I just started told me that I would gain weight in the program. I was in the 270's at the time, and this was when we were trying on uniforms and I told her I wanted to order a size smaller than I needed as I planned on losing weight. GAIN WEIGHT? At my size already? I determined then and their to work hard and I walked the stage at about 164 lbs almost two years later : )
I totally agree with myfireflydance...that word "obese" really affected me and made me realize that I had to step up and do something and do it now!
