@iKazedGames double tap the home button. Alot of people do not know that with the iPad 2's multitasking capabilities, you are prone to have many applications running at the same time. This can slow the iPad down. You need to make sure every now and then that you double tap, then hold one of the icons, and close out all of your running programs. Also, another cool feature of double-tapping the home button is that if you swipe left then you can control iPod controls, volume, and airplay!

Great review, simple and to the point. I am going to buy one of these next week. I think they are so cool. People who say they scratch easily well you can buy a cheap case which will fit them both, like that soft wetsuit type material that stretches so it will be a snug fit.

@TheSdlabs you are totally missing the point. this is not to transform the iPad into a laptop. the only purpose for this is to improve typing. try typing on the iPad for hours, lets see if your fingers & neck don't get tired. with this accessory, it props the iPad in a comfortable angle at the same time providing a nice typing experience. also with this one, you can take the iPad off the keyboard whereas with the macbook, you're stuck with the keyboard. all i'm saying is this gives you option.

How similar in shape is the back of the keyboard to the iPad 1st gen? I bought this and a leather skin for the back of my iPad 2, and wondered if I got a matching skin for iPad 1 for the back of the keyboard if it would fit. The dimensions posted online are very similar but I can't tell about the curves of the corners.

The wrap for the iPad 1 is not an exact fit to the back of the keyboard, but it does fit well enough to work without any trimming. No one will ever be able to tell it wasn't made for it unless I tell them. When I get the wrap for the iPad 2 to match (it was on preorder), the combo will look like a tight little leather portfolio case with aluminum trim... but without the bulk of leather keyboard cases.
