Great Post.... I'm sorry but I always liked Free's first two albums more then Fire & Water.... not that Fire & Water sucks just didn't think it was better then the previous first two albums...
I love Free. When I first heard songs from Tons of Sobs on underground FM radio and college FM radio in the '70s, I was totally blown away and had to get all their albums, which I still have today. It's hard to find CD versions; I had to order Tons of Sobs, Free, and Fire and Water from a used discount music store. I couldn't find or get CDs of the rest of their albums, so had to settle for Molten Gold, the millennium collection, and Best of CDs to get most of the rest of their fantastic songs.
This album to me is Free's best album even better than Fire & Water which I happen to think is an overated album.... this is definitely Free at their best!!!!!
Best Kossoff solo along with "i'm a mover"...when he is sitting on the bed on the album inner sleeve his fingers are like pencils ..by the Heartbreaker album he was so wrecked by the drugs they had to cut out most of his "playing"
