KELLI! this really does work. Who would have thought a product actually doing what it says it will do. Its wayy expensive tho but a great investment. I've been using it now for the past 2 weeks and I tell you what! I am so glad I found this video. The plaque is almost completely gone.
FYI I bought the Walgreens equivalent for 1/2 the price. It has the exact same ingredients. I will report back in 2 weeks. I have some substantial build up behind my bottom teeth,. I'm due to see the dentist in 2 weeks so I figured what the heck.
Floss next, pro health floss has patented active ingredients on the floss. Brush with soft toothbrush angling the bristles just under the gums. DO NOT RINSE WITH WATER. Just spit to clear your mouth.
This is the only line that gives long term protection from cold sensitivity, kills bacteria for 12 hours, whitens without being abrasive and it has the most absorptive fluoride of any paste on the market( the same kind that previously only a dentist could provide) and its FDA approved. Hey guys! I have had a lot of e-mails about this so I thought I would write you a quick note. There are a few formulas of Plax out there that I'm finding. I put a list of the ingredients in the description to help you. IF your Plax DOES NOT contain these ingredients, it WILL NOT remove tartar and plaque. Plax also puts out a mouth rinse like scope for after brushing. The Plax in this video is used before brushing, and it DOES remove tartar and plaque.
@BeautifulLife1977 You can use this product up to two times a day. Use it ONLY until all the tartar and plaque is gone. These are dangerous chemicals, and should be handled with care. After you have removed what you want, only use it again as needed.
YOU ARE MY TEETH'S HERO! God bless you! I cannot wait until i try this!! My teeth is like, HORRIBLE. I brush and floss every day even after done eating, yet i still get tooth plague. Its so noticeable, & i thought i would be having to suffer through embarressment all my life because of this ridiculous problem with my teeth, but now you showed me hope! T__T) thank you for making this video.
@thatgirluwishuknew There are about 298 other people who say it works. With over 100K views, I would say you are in the minority. Have you tried it, or are you just another dental hygienist in the making harassing people who have real life experience and know this works because we used it? Before you go spouting your mouth off, try a product first. Be careful believing everything people tell you, even if you are paying them to tell it to you. They are teaching you lies in school. Wake up.
From my experience, the product seems to help loosen tartar and plaque. Before-hand brushing, flossing, and even using a kitchen knife to remove the stuff didn't seem to work. After 3 cycles, where I used a generic Plax product before each cycle, I noticed a good difference. (My scraping knife option was probably wrong -- where it roughens up areas for bacteria to cling to vs. a dentist's sealants, maybe. My mistake.)
I found both the Tom's flouride free toothpast and the Plax mouthwash at Wal-Mart. I was very lucky because that was the last item in stock when I was looking for it. My teeth feel a lot cleaner and healthier. I use it at least twice a day.
Thanks! You helped me save on a huge dental bill! Btw I think your gorgeous. If you live in LA hit me up and I'll show you pics, FB.... LAMike08@gmail.com Great Job on the video!
About how many times do you recommend using this a month to keep all tartar off? I don't have a lot of tartar but I have some, how many times do you use it per month?
@firedmotion This product is "as needed", so I would not recommend a routine of using this product. When you feel like you have something that needs to be removed, just use the product. It's a chemical, so you don't want to overuse it. Peace.
@hysteriagirl I hate to give you the "it depends" answer, but... it depends. If you do it a few times a day, and swish it longer, it will work faster. If you use it once a day, or skip days, it will take longer. Most people have "chunks" falling off within a couple of days to up one week. Make sure you stop using it after all of the plaque is removed. Only use it every now and then when you get buildup. It is a chemical, and if overused can cause problems. Responsibly used... it's great!
@KelliInTheRaw How many times a Day? Just want to use it to just Remove the Tartar on my bottom back Teeth? Thats it that the only thing thats bothering me.
@hysteriagirl I wouldn't recommend more than once a day, but several viewers said they did it a couple times a day and got faster results. The location you are talking about usually results in chunks falling off. Let me know how it goes!
@CallofdutyV2 Hey there. I'm not sure why you are having trouble. I do know that there is another mouth rinse out there that is NOT the Plax in the video. It does not remove plaque or tartar, but some people are buying it thinking it's the real thing. I put a list of ingredients in the description box. Compare the ingredients to make sure you have the right product in the first place. After that, let me know so I might be able to help you better.
I had to respond!! I had horrible tartar on my bottom teeth, after two uses in two days and brushing twice, the tartar literally started to break off my teeth!! Only product ive ever put my review on! This is amazing! Thank you so much!!!

Are you certain it gets rid of the hard stuff? Cause on the Plax website it just mentions plaque. Sorry if thats a stupid question, I just HATE the dentist too
@DeathAnxiety666 Yes. I have been using the product for over 20 years with positive results. I do give you some cautions in the video. This is not a daily rinse.
@KelliInTheRaw I am more concerned with my dog's teeth. I had to get him put under anesthesia and it scared the shit out of me. Trying to find ways to remove dog tartar without risking my buddies life.
@agenthelios1 Now you are going to have to ask the Vet about that. I do not know what it would do to a dog. There are so many things that pets can't have that are OK for human. I would not want to take the risk. Please ask a doctor first. I am confident about the information I have regarding humans.
@kelx99 Look into Phyllis Mullenix, she's a lead neurotoxicologist that studied fluoride directly & she has interesting things to say about it. There are so many others throughout the years that have spoken out about fluoride dangers from their findings but they get ignored or fired. Check it out, 98% of west. Europe does not fluoridate their drinking water & according to tests their teeth are the same or BETTER than ours!
Fluorosis, arthritis, ADHD, thyroid issues, cancer, & so much more!
i think its really interesting that you are deathly afraid of the dentist and thats the reason you've had a near death experience. My mom used this stuff and now i love it too
Yeah this does work (probably not as thorough as a dentist unfortunately). I got rid of alot of the hard plaque on my teeth after a few weeks (with frequent brushing and flossing). You don't have to use Plax though. You can probably use an off-brand version for much cheaper. The Anti-Plaque I used had the exact same ingredients and it was $1 cheaper.
You are very good looking. But also I want to mention Plax active Ingredients include Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is also found in many tooth paste such as Colgate. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate Cause oral cancer. Still not sure why its used. I guess ADA will say in control manner its ok. Yeah right in control manner tobacco is also OK..
@Marrieumm You should be careful when you try to whiten your teeth with braces, if the teeth under the braces don't whiten, you will have tracks on your teeth when you get them removed
Wow. So I did a bit more digging, and I came across a summary review in the Evidence-Based Dentistry portion of the online site for the scientific journal Nature which concludes that "PLAX (Pfizer, Sandwich, Kent, UK) appears to have some benefit in plaque and gingivitis reduction but the clinical effect and benefit is likely to be small." Dunno if its the same product as the one in your video is currently made by Johnson and Johnson...
So interesting. Off to watch a fluoride conspiracy video!
Did some brief web searching. The product is made by the Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. Their website for the product seems so sketchy though. LOL. It just has two basic links describing their 2 versions of the product. Anyway, all the reviews on the net are good!
It's strange that it isn't heavily marketed though. It seems so obscure. Perhaps the dental industry has a vested interest to PREVENT people from actually getting their teeth clean for themselves!!
@Bbbumpy So are you asking me to get my guitar out for you guys and sing? lol I recorded in my closet because I thought my clothes looked cool. ha ha I didn't know it would make my voice sound better. Great idea!
I think I really got in the closet because I felt I could freely tell you guys stuff. In the "real world" they don't like you to tell the truth. Maybe I felt comfortable enough to tell you the truth in the closet. Like coming out of the closet, only I'm still in it.
Just an info on fluoride and why it is used in dental care: fluoride causes illness called "fluorosis". The main characteristic of that illness is that it hardens and kills bone/tooth tissue and it becomes like the glass, so that outer fluorided layer of teeth becomes dead serving as shield for live tissue under it. That's how it stops pain from naked teeth necks. Conclusion is that main fluoride function is to be kind of an anesthetic and therefor has nothing to do with dental hygiene.
@folladordeprostis Once a day for the average person, but twice a day if you have some ground to cover. Only use this product until the plaque is gone. After that it could harm your teeth. Use it again when plaque builds up. Remember that this is a chemical. Handle it as such.
Please tell me were you bought this i dont want to go to a million different stores soo can you please reply and does the red one work better than the other colors please answer:)
Hmm... now if only I could find something like this but not chemical, my husband is very sensitive to chemicals, he can't even use swimming pool because of the chlorine. Thx for sharing about the danger of fluoride, would like to add that it also can cause of infertility in women, bone cancer in boys, dental fluorosis, hypothyrodism and a ton of other problem. It's not just drinking it ether, it gets into the body through the skin. Iodine helps remove it from the body
hello, after quiet a reasearch I found that the provider was Pfizer for original formula(red one)Plax, but its acquired by johnson and johnson and to find the store in your respective area call J&J at -1800-223-0182. the customer service is very quick and will provide the drugstore's phone number as well as addresses too....hope u can find it..:)
Is this deadly poison like fluoride and other mouthwashes? I am chemically sensitive. Ah you're just warning against fluroride. Good one. Isn't it AMAZING how governments poison us and people arn't even aware.
@SuperJane99 Hey! Thanks for writing. This product is made by Pfizer, which means it is a chemical. If you are sensitive, you might want to ask you doctor first. If your doctor says it's OK, try a little at first for a short period of time. Swishing it 30 seconds would be better for you. Even on the average person, swishing for 60 seconds tends to "tingle" and "itch" the inside of your mouth lightly. You use this product a short time, so it shouldn't cause long term issues. As needed. Not daily.
I'm gonna have to try this. I brush my teeth twice a day (don't floss as often honestly) and I have tartar problems. I'm not afraid of my dentist but he ALWAYS gives me this fluoride tooth paste to use saying it will help me and I just refuse to use it! (I used to use it before I found out about the effects of fluoride and it didn't help anyway!)
as a dental hygienist, i just wanted to say that there's NOTHING that will remove calculus (aka tartar) at home. plax is just a rinse you use before brushing to loosen plaque before brushing, even though rinsing alone will not remove plaque.
a regular cleaning and exam every six months is the only way to remove hard deposits from your teeth. and it's best because sometimes you may have a problem and not be able to see or feel if anything is wrong.
@blackdog8188 I get a comment like yours about once every couple months. There have been about 5 dental hygienists make the same comment. So far I have over 300 e-mails from people telling me it works, and 200 comments saying the same. It worked on me, my family, and my friends. Why is it always the ones educated by the system that keep saying there is not an elephant in the room when there is?
Please viewers, get a dental check up at least once a year! But DO NOT use fluoride!!!
@blackdog8188 As someone who studied both traditional and alternative medicine for many years I'd like to add that modern dentistry is very harmful to the teeth. My husband has a lot of problems with his teeth because of braces, the metal used causes long term side effects. Many chemicals used in dentistry are radioactive and otherwise poisonous.
@Puregamer678 Hey! I was at Target, and couldn't find the Plax! I did see it at Kroger and Tom Thumb. For additional information on the product, you can call Pfizer at 1-212-733-2323.
Hey Guys! A lot of you have been asking about Colgate Plax. I cannot find an ingredients list. Look in the description on the video for the ingredients list for Pfizer Plax. If the ingredients are the same, then it will probably work the same.
you really should see a dentist every year, and have your teeth cleaned every 6 months. it will help prevent the plaque on your teeth from turning into tartar, helping prevent gum disease.
I bought some Plax after I saw this video. Im not quite through half of the bottle using it twice a day, morning and night and im now starting to see the plaque chip away. Should I stop using it when the plaque is all gone from my mouth or should I continue to keep it from coming back?
@missyswife Hey! Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you brought up that topic. This product can be dangerous if overused. If you use it only when it is needed, you shouldn't have a problem.
One thing that does grow back the enamel on your teeth is alfalfa. Take supplements if you are worried about your enamel. You can regrow anything on your body. You just have to know how to do it.
@KelliInTheRaw I think I bought that stuff years ago and then my dentist had something in his newsletter about the FDA scolding the manufacturer about the claims they were making about the product. You may have more confidence in this stuff than you should. No one enjoys going to the dentist but as has probably already been pointed out they can see things that you can't. If you don't want to end up needing extensive/expensive work then visit the dentist on a regular basis.
Wow. I was searching youtube for a video on how to remove plaque + this popped up at the top list! Heading over to grocery/drug store to purchase tonight. Thank you so much for this information. I hear a deep cleaning hurts like OW!!
Hi Kelli, love your videos. Plax sounds like an amazing product. I have one question though... I have a permanent retainer behind my teeth from when I had braces about 10 years ago. Since Plax "chemically removes plaque," I wonder if the chemicals would break down the orthodontic glue. Any ideas?
@Butterfly2479 Do NOT have your retainer in when you do this. Talk to your dentist before you do this with any type of "device" in your mouth. Great question!
only thing about plax it has an acid ingredient in it and its not natural product to use everyday..need more research on this....probably best for only temporary when needed on teeth
i was sceptical but quess what used plax today once was looking at my teeth in the mirror tonite and saw a chunk of white sticking out just a hair further from side front tooth in back,,i thought what is this,,then i took the plastic scrapper thing for teeth and was pushing on it ,,it was white plaque i thought all this time it was part of my tooth,,,and i pushed on it with the plastic scraper and it poped off....wow...
lol you look like my mom, anyway I bought this, so far used it three times, doesn't seem to have any effect yet, I have tartar.. but will see what happens in a week or so..
First your teeth acquire what is called a dental pellicle, which is normal. It's just a thin film that covers teeth, almost immediately after brushing.
Second, when eating and drinking, the bacteria and food particles adhere to the dental pellicle and eventually form PLAQUE. PLAQUE is SOFT and can be brushed away. Flossing is required to reach in between the teeth where toothbrushes cannot.
Third, Once the plaque is undisturbed and not brushed away, CALCULUS forms, which is HARD. Just an FYI
I cannot believe how amazing this stuff is! After just 2 days of using it, I got rid of a really pesky piece of plaque that had been bothering me for YEARS. Thank you so much for this video, I really would not have believed it had I not bought a bottle of PLAX.
Went out to stater bros and got some today. Thank you!!

Marrieumm 6 months ago

Off to watch a fluoride conspiracy video!
h3wlett 6 months ago
Did some brief web searching. The product is made by the Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. Their website for the product seems so sketchy though. LOL. It just has two basic links describing their 2 versions of the product. Anyway, all the reviews on the net are good!
It's strange that it isn't heavily marketed though. It seems so obscure. Perhaps the dental industry has a vested interest to PREVENT people from actually getting their teeth clean for themselves!!

I had never heard of this product before. DEFINITELY going to try it! Thanks for the recommendation!

Bathroom = Excellent guitar and vocal acoustics.
Bbbumpy 6 months ago 7
@Bbbumpy So are you asking me to get my guitar out for you guys and sing? lol I recorded in my closet because I thought my clothes looked cool. ha ha I didn't know it would make my voice sound better. Great idea!
I think I really got in the closet because I felt I could freely tell you guys stuff. In the "real world" they don't like you to tell the truth. Maybe I felt comfortable enough to tell you the truth in the closet. Like coming out of the closet, only I'm still in it.
Peace

Just an info on fluoride and why it is used in dental care: fluoride causes illness called "fluorosis". The main characteristic of that illness is that it hardens and kills bone/tooth tissue and it becomes like the glass, so that outer fluorided layer of teeth becomes dead serving as shield for live tissue under it. That's how it stops pain from naked teeth necks. Conclusion is that main fluoride function is to be kind of an anesthetic and therefor has nothing to do with dental hygiene.

it has to be use once or twice a day?
folladordeprostis 6 months ago
@folladordeprostis Once a day for the average person, but twice a day if you have some ground to cover. Only use this product until the plaque is gone. After that it could harm your teeth. Use it again when plaque builds up. Remember that this is a chemical. Handle it as such.

Hmm... now if only I could find something like this but not chemical, my husband is very sensitive to chemicals, he can't even use swimming pool because of the chlorine.

Is this deadly poison like fluoride and other mouthwashes? I am chemically sensitive. Ah you're just warning against fluroride. Good one. Isn't it AMAZING how governments poison us and people arn't even aware.
SuperJane99 7 months ago

(I used to use it before I found out about the effects of fluoride and it didn't help anyway!)
agirlneedsagun 7 months ago
i will try it Today
Thanks
itsuptome27 7 months ago
as a dental hygienist, i just wanted to say that there's NOTHING that will remove calculus (aka tartar) at home. plax is just a rinse you use before brushing to loosen plaque before brushing, even though rinsing alone will not remove plaque.
a regular cleaning and exam every six months is the only way to remove hard deposits from your teeth. and it's best because sometimes you may have a problem and not be able to see or feel if anything is wrong.
blackdog8188 7 months ago
@blackdog8188 I get a comment like yours about once every couple months. There have been about 5 dental hygienists make the same comment. So far I have over 300 e-mails from people telling me it works, and 200 comments saying the same. It worked on me, my family, and my friends. Why is it always the ones educated by the system that keep saying there is not an elephant in the room when there is?
Please viewers, get a dental check up at least once a year! But DO NOT use fluoride!!!
Peace
KelliInTheRaw 7 months ago 5
@KelliInTheRaw what's wrong with fluoride'?
skynsidhawaii 6 months ago
@blackdog8188 As someone who studied both traditional and alternative medicine for many years I'd like to add that modern dentistry is very harmful to the teeth. My husband has a lot of problems with his teeth because of braces, the metal used causes long term side effects. Many chemicals used in dentistry are radioactive and otherwise poisonous.

you really should see a dentist every year, and have your teeth cleaned every 6 months. it will help prevent the plaque on your teeth from turning into tartar, helping prevent gum disease.

I bought some Plax after I saw this video. Im not quite through half of the bottle using it twice a day, morning and night and im now starting to see the plaque chip away. Should I stop using it when the plaque is all gone from my mouth or should I continue to keep it from coming back?

I'd be worried about that product, it's probably also taking off your enamel which you can't get back
missyswife 9 months ago
@missyswife Hey! Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you brought up that topic. This product can be dangerous if overused. If you use it only when it is needed, you shouldn't have a problem.
One thing that does grow back the enamel on your teeth is alfalfa. Take supplements if you are worried about your enamel. You can regrow anything on your body. You just have to know how to do it.
KelliInTheRaw 9 months ago
@KelliInTheRaw I think I bought that stuff years ago and then my dentist had something in his newsletter about the FDA scolding the manufacturer about the claims they were making about the product. You may have more confidence in this stuff than you should. No one enjoys going to the dentist but as has probably already been pointed out they can see things that you can't. If you don't want to end up needing extensive/expensive work then visit the dentist on a regular basis.

Hi Kelli, love your videos. Plax sounds like an amazing product. I have one question though... I have a permanent retainer behind my teeth from when I had braces about 10 years ago. Since Plax "chemically removes plaque," I wonder if the chemicals would break down the orthodontic glue. Any ideas?
Butterfly2479 9 months ago
@Butterfly2479 Do NOT have your retainer in when you do this. Talk to your dentist before you do this with any type of "device" in your mouth. Great question!

Just an FYI
