I saw the movie a few days ago.

The policeman at the end should just have stood as flat as possible so his dead would be quick and painless instead of his bones being torn apart. Good movie by the way.

Well I'm pretty sure that I would consider the least painful way of dying in a situation like that.

But correct me if I'm wrong, I have never been between two closing walls that were there to kill me. It's just that in a situation like that it would seem obvious that Jigsaw didn't give you any possibility to escape, and instead of struggling I'd like to save me some agony.

You might be right, it's easy to talk about common sense while you have never been in such a near-death situation.

I understand your thinking, and it is logical, but have you ever watched an episode of "World's Most Amazing Videos" or "Faces of Death"? I've never seen a single one in which a person sees disaster coming, looks left, looks right, sees no hope of escape, and then just goes limp as a way to minimize pain. People, and any animal for that matter, will make a mad dash and even flail out of control if only to postpone the inevitable!

And in a sense, that's what Jigsaw is trying to wake up...

The shows you state don't seem to feature overviewable situations. If I saw a number of burning carwrecks around me I wouldn't know which direction to jump in to evade an explosion, but being closed in by two walls seems easy as pie.

But indeed, there is no rational thinking, or focusing on 'the wisest option' when you're in such panic. Indeed, the will to live must be likely to prevail then.

And yes, this is what Jigsaw wants people to see: how they NOT want to die.
