I was a teenager at the time of these events and my parents were republicans so I was considering being one as well.

However it was the repubs making such a big deal over this trivial shit that ultimately turned me against them at the time.

I'm an independent now and would consider voting for a republican if he was the right guy, but as things are, republicans are the extremist party. Religious nuts and conspiracy theorists flock to them, and I would hate to be associated with them.

I said I didn't agree with him ideologically on much. By good leader, I mean that as a figurehead he inspired a great deal of confidence in the American people. Up until the scandal, most people seemed to quite like him and it is a plus for a president, in my book, to be able to capture the (mostly) positive attention of a country like ours. My argument is only this: he broke his trust with Hillary when he had the affair. He broke his trust with America when he lied about it. I can't see them as being anything but two separate instances. He acted immorally in both instances, for sure. I don't think that he acted immorally against America until he lied about it .

If Hillary had sued Bill, I would have been fine with it.
