  • This video should be standard Curriculum in every school and university!

  • Ive been watching your videos for few hours..and you really got me interested in financial talk...as myself being 17 yrs old I want to save...not like my brother that spends about half his weekly paycheck that would be about $650 at the mall each weekend...Spend Money To Get Money !!!

  • Agreed. With one exception. I hate to be "that guy" but if you are saving, you should be saving some of it in gold and silver.

  • Mohammed! you have these qualities is spades!

    Thrift

    Humility

    Charity

    Moderation

    Hard work

    Honor

Everyday I look at that list and do my best...

  • Man I always dig your videos. Tons of good points.

Reading the comments, I see a lot of people making excuses. There are so many ways to do this.

Ebay store, roommate(pays rent + 1/2 utils), cheaper car = cheaper insurance and taxes, no cell phone, no cable TV, no eating out, workout at home instead of the gym, don't drink, etc, etc.

    That's probably a $1,000/month right there...

The trick is finding fun things to do that are free.

  • @jonvssocrates Thank you I am glad someone is trying and not making excuses.

  • Speaking from experience, frugal and passive is a very difficult balancing act. A frugal person tends to do things for themselves to save money. A passive income generally requires hiring someone else to do the work. Other people have no problem whatsoever with burning through your money.

  • @imstillworkin hmmm interesting. A vending machine, is passive, internet cafe, at an airport frugal, vidoe games at a truck stop frugal, rental property. Where are the employees and all are passive. So I am confused with the type of passive income you are referring to. Of course other people want have passion about your business, by what I am talking about doesn't involve people.

  • @mohammedabshaun Someone has to fill that vending machine, collect the money from the video game, etc. and things break. I have rental property. When a kitchen sink starts leaking, do I fix it myself with a $2 part or do I call a plumber and get popped for $300? Multiply that scenario times 11 houses and you'll find yourself choosing between being frugal or being passive. There are only 24 hours in a day. You're overlooking the fact that tenants TEAR UP houses and someone has to fix them.

  • @imstillworkin Why so many excuses it seems as if you have lost your fight. It only takes thirty minutes to collect money from machines. They are responsible people who can fix the house? Why so many excuses?

  • @mohammedabshaun I'm not making excuses, I'm pointing out reality which is something you'll rarely get from a person involved in business. My husband would tell you he made $132k a year from one of his side businesses. I would be truthful and tell you he grossed $132k a year and netted $19k, big difference. Who would you rather talk to if you were deciding to go into that business?

  • your videos have helped me so much. i am a college student and I started an emergency savings like you said. and you know emergency came and i was able to deal with it. Thank you so much. I am working on living a frugal lifestyle and trying to get other sources of income. as a college student what are some ways i can do this besides getting another job?

  • @manman153 Ask yourself what is missing around you and do it. There are always thing missing around you and start small.

  • @manman153 What is that you love doing? You can form a way to make a living around that.

  • @manman153 tell me about what emergency came and how you handled it. Good Job.

  • Once you let go of your fear of failure you can achieve whatever you set your mind on.All business men fail one time or another, all successful businessmen have declared bankruptcy at one time or another.

But they are different from alot of people in the fact that they are not scared of failure.

To fail is to learn or as my father always says "The man that never made a mistake never made anything!"

  • @stuartsbushcraftblog Deep Truth well written here and I agree. I think Donald Trump would be a good example having through trouble I couldn,t possibily imagine.

  • You're right abt the credit cards, they will kill you. I don't have credit cards...nor do I want any of them. In this world, money talks. If you want something.. make it a goal to save for it and then buy it. If you see something in a store that you want but can't afford it...you probably don't need it. I don't like credit at all. Yet, you have to be in debt to have a better opportunity to obtain more debt in the form of a loan. What a stupid system.

  • @Rototill27 I agree .

  • @Rototill27 I agree .

  • i dont disagree with you i just think that saving such a large amount is easier said than done and impossible for some

  • @TheLunateQ Lunate their is nothing impossible, what is impossible is if you think you can't do it you want. If we were in the military and you were my commander, how do you think I would feel about you leading me?

  • I do however agree with you on the fact that many do indeed put themselves in debt through overspending; however, who is your target group for which you are inferring? Baby boomers did not require a degree to make a decent living. Consider present day college students like myself who are confronted with merely two options; minimum wage plus incremental pay growth (15,000-35,000) or the college debt track. Not much room for savings from my perspective... How about you?

  • While you make valid points as to being debt free and financially independent your arguments true fallacy lies within the fact that many people cannot even get to the point of saving such an amount without incurring some level of debt.

  • you have many good points and your enthusiasm is uplifting but how do you propose you get the job that enables you to make enough that you can even save 25,000 per year with confining yourself with enormous amounts of debt. And suppose without that debt creating education; how do you propose to put away any money with a job paying between 20 and 30 thousand?

  • @TheLunateQ I like your concern, but let me break the news to you my friend, I have en't worked a job in 10 years because I found out that jobs don't pay money. I create my own dream, I don't wait for someone to create it for me. I have learned that small, small business ideas beat a job hands down.

  • @TheLunateQ My customer bas i is the world. I think first you need to surround yourself with people who think outside the box. I just spent 4 months in Nicaragua, I wouldn't be able to do that if I worked a job.

  • @TheLunateQ You have been raised to think the right thing to do is to go to school and get a job. That doesn't exist anymore.

  • Would also like to add that i bought my first house with CASH!, saved up over a year whilst i was serving in Northern Ireland whilst in the Army. I spent a year living like a hobo but when i finally went home on leave i walked into the estate agents, slammed £20,000 on the counter and walked away with the keys to a house that i renovated and sold on for £50,000 having spent £5000 on materials and advertising/taxes.

So within two years i had more than doubled my money + living off of my army wage

  • @stuartsbushcraftblog We need to hear more stories like you. I like this

  • Even if you cannot make it this year you should atleast try to reach that target. Then next year you have a personal score to beat. This year you only save say $15,000 then next year you will beat that figure with ease.

I am addicted to saving LOL, its a good feeling to look at my bank statement and see how much i have in my savings account.

It also feels good opening up my safe and looking at all of my silver coins and bullion that i built up over the years.

    Saving is easy and addictive.

  • @stuartsbushcraftblog Its a great feeling to have money in the bank. I don't see a recession. I am saving more money than I ever have.

  • @DharmaYouth91 my friend $700 dollars is a lot for a college student most students are broke. I applaud your dedication. If you ever need any help call me my number is 605-941-1527.

  • people can not save $25,000 a year if they do not make that much or if they make just over that amount. Maybe a better goal is to say save 10% of monthly net wages each month.

  • @nmm12nmm Did you even listen to the video I gave you a plan of how to make it. I made it last year so people can make it.

  • @nmm12nmm Call me and I can prove people can do it. 605-941-1527.

  • What are are your thoughts on dealing with Chinese companies?

Engineering companies in UK are a pain in the arse. I think my orders are too small, even though I'm offering a few thousand £ worth of work.

I emailed a bolt maker in China and they got back within hours, knew their stuff and with a good price even after import duty.

  • @stuntpea Oh my gosh China is the best this is why I am going back to do business their next year and will continue for the rest of my life. There is no competition against China.

  • I am moving to a city with more work and gonna live with roommates to decrease the amount of money I`m spending on rent. I do have $1,000 tucked away for emergencies and will be trying to grow my savings as well as pay off debt by working 2 jobs.

My friends have no concept of saving money... they spend it all on clothes and booze. =/

  • Great video man. I agree with you 100%.

  • Live like no one else today so tomorrow that you can live like no one else. That what you are really say Mohammedabshaun
