Just watched the film and loved it, even though there were a few points where the producers / writers took a little bit of artistic licence this made a really good story out of a great set of real-life characters.

The only niggle I had was the actor playing Billy Bremner's dodgy accent which didn't sound very Scottish to me at all.

I hope one day they make a sequel film, covering Clough's years at Forest and his eventual fall out with Peter Taylor, they could call it "The Brian Clough Way" ;-)

Yeah, I'm taking Cloughie being injured @ age twenty-nine (IIRC) while playing for Sunderland into account. As far as getting more caps for England goes: Cloughie was also available for squad selection @ the tail end of the FA selection committee era. Word has it that many of the selectors didn't like Cloughie because he was already so outspoken; even as a player. If it was based purely on playing form and scoring stats; Cloughie should've had 40+ caps, IMHO.

I was football fan during this period and what annoyed people about Leeds United (apart from the foul play) was their boring football. I remember that they would try as hard as they could to score a goal and then all pile pack into defence for the rest of the match. So boring (yawn). As this tactic was so successful, the worry was that many other teams would adopt that style of play. Clough provided a great and refreshing counterblast to that.
