it's just that, i don't think every filipino should be good in tagalog. technically, it's not the only language in the phils. and it's not the national language either. just wanna let that out. :)

Most American born Filipinos want to speak Tagalog specially when they reach College. This is why Tagalog Conversational Subject in Colleges are always filled with Filipinos born or raised here in the USA. Almost all Filipino parents dont teach their kids to speak Tagalog for fear that they may not do well in school but I totally disagree with that theory because in the Latin Community most Latin parents taught their kids Spanish and it did not affect their education.
