  • ukulele play along is greatest creation ever!

  • So. . . I want to get a ukulele, but I know nothing about them. Any suggestions for which kind I should get? Like tenor, soprano, concert, etc.?

  • go to guitar center they are like 59 dollars with a 2 year warrentee and it a soprano cause those are easiest to play but i definately suggest u get one they are loads of fun and i just got mine today i can already play songs haha theyre awsome!

  • @Wilchonga I highly recommend a concert uke. I bought a soprano as my first one, and about 3 weeks later ended up buying a concert. It's only about $100 or so to get you started!

  • i recommend a tenor makala, they are about 70 bucks online, but you need to get some good strings also. theres a guy on ebay that'll set you up good. ready to play outta the box for like 80 bucks, i think its mgm music or something...GOOD LUCK!!

  • @Wilchonga i got a baritone and i didnt like it so i exchanged it for a soprano. i love it its only my second day with it and i already learned somewhere over the rainbow. it took less than an hour. its awesome. :)

  • @Wilchonga i suggest to get a soprano if your a beginner then move up a size to concert...concert ukuleles have more frets so that you can have more options and they sound beautiful :)

  • Thanks guys! I got a Soprano. I love it. I actually have some recordings now if any of you want to listen. They're pretty easy on the ears ;) check them out on my page!

  • @Wilchonga I got a soprano and i'm wishing I had gotten a tenor. It's my first one and I couldn't afford anything else..

  • @Wilchonga tenor

  • @Wilchonga its all up to the player man,don tle anyone tell you either is better, its all up to what sound you want and how comfortable you are with it, the uke doesnt make the player the player makes the uke

  • @Wilchonga soprano fo sho. go to guitar center if your in the us, they should have them there :)

  • @Wilchonga Get a Makala Dophin Ukulele. Perfect starting Ukulele and a cheap price, and sounds really good too.

  • @Wilchonga I have a tenor that I love. I found that the frets on a concert were a bit too small and I would have to cram my fingers onto some frets depending on the chord I was playing. So I recommend you go to a local music store and try out a concert and a tenor sized and judge for yourself which one sounds and feels better to play. Ultimately it is your choice and you don't want to buy one just because someone thinks it is the best kind, the best kind is what sounds and feels best to you.

  • @Wilchonga depends what you want, if you want more a guitar sound go with baritone, more bright and "ukish" tone would be soprano. Concerts and Tenors are fun too.

  • @Wilchonga tenor all the way, or concert

  • @Wilchonga i would go with either concert or tenor...

if your a beggibger go witha tenor a little larger o easeier to play fretboard

  • @Wilchonga It Depends on your hand size. Lol you shuld try out each one to see which one is more comfortable. Since I have bigs hands I like the Tenor because when I had a concert my hands would cramp up after a lot of chord progressions. Lol Once you get started it's hard to stop .

  • @Wilchonga for my first one i got a concert size i love it, and actually have pretty big hands but im sure youll like whatever size you get

  • @Wilchonga well, i have a suprano ukulele... it is the smallest and highest pitched. it is also the easiest for beginners because it is easy to hold, grip, and play. i recommend the least expensive at whatever music store you go to buy it. then you can work your way up to bigger, lower sounding, and harder to play ukuleles. also get the least professional one there because they are the least expensive out of all ukuleles. make sure also that you get an inexpensive one because you may not like it

  • @ZombieNinjaism There's one smaller than Soprano

  • @Wilchonga soprano is the most popular ukulele, and i totally recomend it. and uke isnt even that hard, i taught myself.

  • @Wilchonga Get Soprano first :P

  • I love this <3

  • Better than the original

  • I love this song!! ^-^!!

  • im only 11 but its easy cuz i have big fingures

  • (Em)Down chunk (Am7) up down chunk

(D)up up chunk (G)up down chunk

  • I just cant seem to get that strum pattern!!! fuck!

  • He has a video showing you how to strum

  • i learned it by this!!! the strumming was hard to figure out but i figured it out!! xP

  • hey i was wonder if anybody could help me out i just bought a uku and i she comes out of tune real easy is this suppose to happen?

  • i dunno if its new strings, then that might be the case. because of the way the strings are tied at the bridge, the tuner at the head will pull the knot tighter over time, causing the string to have slack. no worries, eventually the strings will be tight as a drum, and it'll stay in tune quite a while

  • thanks for the help : D

  • awesome.

  • sapranos are the smallest right?

    cuz thats what i have

  • you are the best ukulele teacher ever, i love you

  • Great stuff! you should post more stuff like this, because it is REALLY brilliant, seriously. Best ever ukulele Tutorial ever, and it sounds great! . keep it up :)

  • thinkin about getting a uke soon and im just wondering ... is this a soprano or a baritone ? ?

  • it looks to me like a concert or a tenor ... baritone's are huge nd it looks too small to be a soprano

  • too big to be a soprano sorry

  • If i was to rate this the instructional style on a 5 star system, i'll give this a 7

  • i learned this song from you in 5 minutes!

  • nice strumming pattern ;twice on D gives it a nice flavour

  • hanalei pier! can't wait to get back to the island =]

    awesome cover btw. xD

  • i like how he rocks out around :50.

  • nice!

    struming pattern?

  • (Em)Down chunk (Am7) up down chunk

(D)up up chunk (G)up down chunk

If I could notate this on staff paper I would, but alas, I don't have any. Plus you feel more accomplished once you figure it out. :D Maybe I'll do a video of it later?

  • Yes this is spectacular! im learning the Uke and found "Uke Underground" and yes thanks for putting the website up. not only it's learning but you make it fun! Thank you a thousand times.
