This "liquefaction" was only occurred in reclaimed land and it does not mean Japan is sinking. Earthquake caused this but it was stopped in just few days. No one died by this phenomenon. Some infrastructure were broken but they have been recovered. Now we can live safely, even we still have nuclear issue...

Well since Japan isn't just "floating out in the middle of the ocean", there's really nothing to worry about. It's attached to the Earth's crust all the way to the core. It's only land underneath it, not water. There's nothing for it to sink into. The ground is just shifting. Telling them to all migrate to America or somewhere else is just going to cause more problems.

@Sheilaaliens Islands don't just "sink". It's geologically impossible. Continental crust is lighter and more buoyant than oceanic crust, hence the accretion of islands onto continents rather than them being subducted at subduction zones.
Now, the Fukushima radiation is another thing. They absolutely could be lying about that. It's a much more clear and present danger than an island sinking.
