  • Reminds me of mine!

  • " OOO that was PERFECT".... Sound like a certain old man from family guy that loves lil boys? LMAO

  • dude....are you stupid? its not a red oscar... its a chameleon oscar duhhh. lol

  • @obbandrox No But It's really not a red oscar

  • cool

  • Can you look at my Red Oscar vid and see if it will be okay to keep a smaller Albino oscar with it /watch?v=nJ36KMRB2pY

    Thanx

  • This video is retarded. Good job, you discovered how to stress the fuck out of your fish.

  • look at my oscar tank ,minessssssss soooooooooo much beautiful than u "]

    :]

  • I want to get 2 of this fish but i heard they're really dirty. My cousin has 1 and his tank is really dirty, but i dont know if they really are dirty or cousin just lazy and doesnt clean the water. does anyone know?

    thanks

  • @23Renzo23 Depends on the filtration, tank size and size of the fish. If the tank is 100+ gallons then the tank should be clean with regular maintenance, if they tank is 100+ gallons then your cousin is probably just lazy :D.

  • my convict and jack dempsey do the same thing. They really darken up when they are displaying at each other

  • my oscar does this all the time hes all black PURE black but whne he does it its a white and black lightning effect i should try and videotape it.

  • Oh okay thanks for the tips

  • I have the exact same oscars!!! although my Red Oscar isn't that colourful and my albino Oscar is more of a peach colour. what do you feed them?

  • he feels threatened.

  • awsome

  • That was cool!

"This is my house!!" He's sayin' to himself... :D

  • How did the fish change?

  • i just got a tiger oscar yesterday that i put in my rtc tank since my rtcs still small and i fed him a guppy

  • lol super saiyan!

  • cool

  • i wonder if a RD could do that because mine used to be dark red and now shes light pink and i want her to be red not whitish

  • they do that when a FEMALE approaches, hint the female below him(or when fighting/or threatend) they make themselves look bigger and more bright/pretty.

  • Oscars do that when they are threatened or see a reflection of themselves to warn of other fish, mine does that all the time.

  • how u make it change color plz tell me i want to make my oscar change color too. well my oscar chages color when i clean the tank he turn to light pink lol its starnge. r u holding a mirror?

  • Yes, he's holding a mirror, they can get territorial, even with their reflection, they do that as a display...

  • awesome video. my tiger does this too, only he goes bright yellow with black stripes with the red over the top.

he only does it when he's aggressive.

i got it on video and posted it too.

    :)

  • My red does that too! Do they usually get more colorful as they grow, mine's is getting more and more red each and every week. He's almost completely red now, except for his head.

  • Ooutstanding video. Props.

  • can i put my oscar with lake malawi cichlids?

  • Malawai Cichlids are african cichlids as I'm sure you are aware. While it can work to mix African and American cichlids it is generally a bad idea. They have different water requirements which can be an issue but the biggest issue is aggression. While most American cichlids are bigger and more boisterous, Africans in general are probably more aggressive and territorial. They also communicate that aggression differently so dominance and submission can be tricky between the two different species.

  • @Needforspeed3685 But oscars live with malawi cichlid, look at my video i myself have both and they are living fine.

  • In a paragraph, Needforspeed3685 said "yes".

I recommend you cater to the Africans' needs.

    Oscars are tougher.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow cadilac do you even have an oscar man put one of your fishes in an will see whats what

  • Oscars are very aggressive boisterous big personality fish. Have you ever had an oscar? they have to have the most personality and character of any cichlid. you eventually become great friends with your oscar

  • @Fshlver i've heard from some too that african and american cichlids will fight eachother to the death. "They also communicate that aggression differently so dominance and submission can be tricky between the two different species" this is probably why right here. african cichlids do tend to be smaller, good chance of them being eaten. unless they are the bigger sized african cichlids.

  • @Fshlver

That's a Bronze Oscar not Red Tiger Oscar I know because I have Both.

  • they only do this when there about to fight or see competition it happend when my oscar and red devil fought and also when id approch the tank and when id put a mirror up to the glass

  • Yeah it's not very often that you see an Oscar change colors so rapidly. I know of people who have kept them 7 years and never saw anything like this. I'm lucky to get it on video!

  • @Needforspeed3685 hey mine does the same he is about 4 inches he turns dark dark black to really light grey when he gets startled. (Tiger oscar btw)

  • @Needforspeed3685 I have a question, I got my black oscar in a petstore and when i put him in the CYCLED tank it lost all its pretty colors, can you tell me why

  • @juhnails Hey from my few years experience in fishkeeping, my tip is use a product called Easy-Life, use it and only it when doing a water change and it will make a huge differences to the tank and your fishs' colour

  • great video!!!
