  • i love being a plague rat <3

  • One of the things I love about Emilie Autumn is her lyrics can fit so many situations. We all know what most,if not all,of her songs are about but she makes it easy for people to twist the lyrics to suit their own situations. I love that about her,she can pull in a massive audience and each person takes something different from each song. I can't think of any other artists who can do that. She is truly amazing :)

  • i really wonder why emilie never does any video clips, i mean, she's so fuckin creative! she could sure do something great with the bloody crumpets!

  • i love this song...

  • Does anyone else feel like there's some sort of connection between Emilie and Tim Burton? I mean, picture this song, or ANY song of hers in one of his movies- it would NOT be out of place. And her image- the quirkiness, the stripes, the makeup- it all fits!

  • @BrillianceTheory Emilie is my favourite artist, Tim is my favourite film-maker/director, Helena Bonham Carter is my favourite actress, and Johnny Depp is my favourite actor. Tim, Johnny and Helena are connected, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Emilie was connected too.

  • @MyImperfections1 True. This song reminds me of Corpse bride - a girl in love gets killed by someone she trusts. It won't be out of place in that movie.

  • @SnitchSeeker But.... there is a lyric that says :'' But while I breathe, I've got no evidence to prove my end.'' She is alive. No one literally killed her. Someone killed he emotionally and mentally but that person will not be charged and can not be arrested. And then she says: '' So you'll walk away. Nope, wrong again.'' That person will not simply walk away because she will get her revenge, in other words RECORD WILL SHOW! One of my favorite EA songs

  • @ZombieArtz I guess i got the whole song wrong.I though she is a murder victim, that's why she is saying let the record show (it is the police record of her death).I always though the song was about Jack the Ripper- the word "whore" reminds me of that - Jack the ripper killed only prostitutes. Also "you're jealous" - Jack's own wife was a prostitute,so he started killing those around her to scare her off the market.

  • @SnitchSeeker But... how could she be a murder victim and then make songs? Once you're dead for real, you can't just make a song about it..

  • @MissSickLunatic I though it is her soul/ghosts,that is singing the song, telling her sad story.

  • @SnitchSeeker well yes. the song plays it like its about murder and that basically is the point so you didn't get it wrong. :) but she makes it clear that it is more of an emotional thing then physical.

  • @BrillianceTheory

    Well, that's a brilliant theory!

  • "Working life like a burlesque show. Get them off and they'll let you go" I love you, Emilie Autumn Liddell.

  • "If I'm going down, than I'm going down good. I'm going down, I'm going down clean. I'm going, just the prettiest wretched whore you've ever seen!" :3

  • @ashlienicholex33 I don't completely agree with that and I think no matter how popular Emilie becomes, she'll always be herself. :)

  • *-* my favorite song <3

  • 48 people.48 people think that Emilie sings these songs for fun. She doesn't, these are her real experiences, turned into songs to help ease the pain. The day may leave, but the memory never does. </3

  • @Lyswillowleaf or Both XDD Lol

  • Impaled on her violin bow?

Most. Awesome. Way. To. Die. EVER.

  • @ashlienicholex33 I agree. She should stay like this, her own musician, because now people will stumble across her and gradually become infected by the Plague. If she becomes Mainstream, she may completely change as managers may try to buy her and change her style and use AutoTune. Yes her voice is different but that's a GOOD thing. :)

  • @MyImperfections1 COMPLETELY agree!!!

  • I'm posting a comment about Black Butler because i was told not to by my friend.

  • @MollytheSexyBeast Well, Kuroshitsuji is amazing xD I assume you're talking about the manga, or the anime =P

  • @MollytheSexyBeast Yeah, Kuro is pretty amazing. I like the manga better, honestly though.

  • @MollytheSexyBeast lol I can't listen to this song without thinking of madame red for some reason xD Love you Emilie!!!!

  • Obsessed, Emilie Autumn and Kerli (:

  • @theparamore83 Omg me toooo(:

  • I love how I just got done watching Black Butler for nearly a week now and I come to listen to one of my favorite songs, and I see all these comments about Black Butler.. :3 The world is amazing.

  • How can you be talented and amazingly naturally beautiful at the same time? She just seems so perfect, maybe because she is (:

  • thumbs up if you are from serbia and you love emilie :)

  • I really think they should have used her music for suckerpunch, it would fit perfectly!

  • ...never associated EA with Kuro before... xD

    EA<3

  • @Wildlybamboozled Kuro... as in Otoharada? o.o

  • @Tawnyshine As in Kuroshitsuji, Black Butler. :)

  • @Wildlybamboozled really? thats the first thing I thought of after I heard her songs

  • @LittleMissAzula I see what you mean, but I didn't think of it. x.x

  • I wrote to Emilie on twitter changing these lyrics to "Let the cookie show! That you munched on me on your coldest plate with your own two hands!" and she retweeted it, I feel like I've made it in life

  • @dotcake

    LOL nice!

  • @dotcake you have my son. you have

  • @dotcake

  • @FabryNYPD On twitter you can re-tweet other peoples tweets to your followers. It's like on Facebook you write a status but on Twitter you can take that's person's status and post it to your followers on there.

  • @dotcake She retweeted me too. I tweeted "i'm cookie lolita, and you are a criminal... ♪". ♥ This moment made my life!

  • @FrostFoxChick I would!

  • @FrostFoxChick Haha, it does remind me of Black Butler! As if it's told from Ciel's point of view. Haha, <3 wow, it totally relates lol.

  • @IdontNeedAnUsarname We do, Its Opheliacfull <3

  • d*mn...gotta go find Amaravamp's comment..-.-

  • Ahhh... I think I'm in love :)

  • @IdontNeedAnUsarname Creating a new word would be a futile act. There could never be a word with enough thought and meaning behind it to describe how truly amazing Emilie is.

  • @Deathsyt666 There is, two words in fact; Emilie Autumn. Though they're not very usefull words because they may never justifiably be used on anyone but her ;]

  • @eschercheshire Touche. I admit defeat.

  • <3~

  • haha, look at the veiws... 556,665.... now lets take that apart now shall we?... 55 666 5...... ironic?

  • @singatnote i dont get it O.o ?????

  • @BloodRose411 666 is a bad luck number

  • I always thought she was climbing up a rope, just realized it was a violin bow...

  • is she referenceing jack the ripper?

  • @himurakenshinfan19 I thought I was the only one who thought that!

  • @dotcake nope, i'm love english history, well, history in general, so i like to look for reference:)

  • @himurakenshinfan19 And me, I always listen to the song liar and think of Elizabeth Bathory (Mainly due to Emilie saying she was going to film a music video that involves bathing in blood) Emilie teaches all :L

  • @dotcake Bathory, one of the most disturbing yet intriguing historical characters, emilie could do her justice!

  • I keep going "Okay, last Emilie Autumn song. After this, I'll find something else to listen to." Of course I'm just lying to myself.

  • This song really lets the abilities of Emilie's voice shine through... :)

  • im a guy and im proud to admit that emilie autumn is my favorite artist and sings many of my favorite songs!

  • @ichigo7708 high five to you :D

  • @LittleBluRidinHood oh yay a high five :D

  • I love emilie, I have the bestest person in the world and to make the the best, I have emilie to enchance ♥

  • Emilie Autumn has a very Interesting sound to her. I just discover her, and I'm just spending the night just listening to her. Her sound makes me want to draw picture based off these sound. Sweet, :]

  • this song reminds me of the casey anthony trial....

  • @witchsaint You and me both D:

  • @Tawnyshine yeah. if I hadn't heard this song before, and heard it for the first time right now, I might have even thought it was written about that.

  • @MsLizzieBlue If I'm going down then I'm going the prettiest broken girl you've ever seen.

  • @MsLizzieBlue @Nymphetamiine01 If I'm going down then I'm going down good, I'm going down then I'm going down clean, I'm going down then I'm going the prettiest wretched whore you've ever seen!

  • I know that this song isn't necessarily about prostitution but it seriously reminds me of the book "Tricks" by Ellen Hopkins. Its about 5 different teenagers who are pulled into a life of prostitution because of their drug addictions and other hardships in their lives. Anyways, I love this song and all of EA's songs.

  • @stiffkittens101 After Reading what you put, i read it and i must say i see similarities as you said, it links together quite well, and EA forever!!!

  • Want to get EA on the radio?! I certainly do!

I think EA fans across North America should get organized & call radio stations on a specific day & time to request the SAME song by EA.

Visit my channel for details about voting. Give this a thumbs up if you think it’s a good idea & so other fans will see it.

    <3 EA

  • @rsgirl10 i dont want emilie to become popular because then we'll get all the hipster posers who will pretend to like her because she's underground... lets just reserve her for us muffins

  • @withoutemotionz i agree :D

  • @rsgirl10

Can EA fans in England do this too!?

  • @TinyMidgetGooInc I'll join you! :D

  • @rsgirl10

No one's going to play her songs on the radio, though.

  • @rsgirl10 Ive said this one, I've said this a thousand times before, EA is NOT meant for the radio. I love EA as much as the next plague rat. Sadly, most of America hates this kind of music. 90% or more of the population would say "she's too creepy" or "she sings disturbing lyrics" and would cut her off asap. Point is, it takes us plague rats to actually understand the hell she's gone through.

  • @xskullxkissesx Well you could do a song like mistress mine, hollow like my soul or ever, or how strange or.. which are more accessible songs, to people who are less open minded about music.

Not áll of her songs are of the 'creepy' (awesome mew love-it) kind!

  • @kiek I know not all of her songs are dark/creepy (just look at Shalott and What If), but point is, EA is just not 'mainstream' material most people in the population want to see/hear on the radio.

  • @xskullxkissesx Hm. well I don't know about radio in other country's ofcourse (You're from America I guess?).

I do know that some these songs are songs that some radio-thingys in Holland could play them without any trouble, or losing a lot of listeners [:

  • @kiek I'm referring to American radios, yes.

  • @rsgirl10 huh... is it still on? :P

  • The justifications people put behind murder and harming another, it's all the same the more we change the more we really don't. Beauty in this way to express it!

  • <<3333333

  • "Working life like a burlesque show, Get them of and they'll let you go"

That has to be one of favourite lyrics of all time!

  • This song reminds me of Jack The Ripper O_O I heard from him by an Anime lol.

  • @5BookWorm0 kuroshitsuji?

  • @5BookWorm0 Are you referring to kuroshitsuji by any chance?

  • Comment removed

  • @5BookWorm0 Haha..... I sense a red haired reaper near byyyyy ;D

  • @kurama6543 Lol.

  • @KiwiDynasty I've had too :D

  • Hmm, she's a very pretty girl, the music is... okay, but I don't really like it. I do love the term 'victoriandustrial' or however it is spelled, though.

  • @Zoey20709 it's violindustrial, not victorianindustrial :) just sayin

  • @alyoucha97 I believe it's both.

  • @32symphonic97 It is. :)

  • @32symphonic97 idk, i've only heardf Violindustrial, but whatever

  • Comment removed

  • You're jealous. Oh, you're jealous. Why? It's a simple excuse for a complex crime.

  • Isn't this song about Jack the Ripper??

  • @AnthonySmith22 idk. but its reallly emilie falling into a trap.

i guess its about him...or them (kuroshitsuji)

  • @AnthonySmith22 not sure but it feels a bit like jekyll and hyde at times to me :)

  • @AnthonySmith22 that's just what I was thinking!

  • @AnthonySmith22 that's just what I was thinking! I should make an amv with this song for black butler

  • Exactly what I'm feeling right now...Emilie Autumn captures all my emotions in one song...Thank you Emilie

  • @ancona246

hmm...my computer has a 3:47, Thats where the song ends

  • always thought it was "why did i tempt you ' geuss i was wrong thx for the correction

    (:

  • The plague: catch it, feed it, spread it.

  • You know, this song really begins to suck after 3:48.

WHY CAN'T THIS GORGEOUSNESS JUST GO ON FOREVER?!

  • Jack the ripper. That's all I heard in this song.

  • this song remaind me of something happend in my life XD

  • IDK HOW SHE AND Kuroshitsuji ARE ALIKE

  • @deathkill230 the fashion

  • @katysweet13 ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thanx

  • @deathkill230 madam red turning to grell? idfk :l

  • I don't think there's a song I don't like, she is just fucking amazing, Love EA plague rat for life.

  • This reminds me of Grell and Madam Red from Kuroshitsuji o.o

  • @STATUSreality Emilie reminds me of Kuroshitsuji in general.

  • @b1a2y3k4a5y6 i know i might make a vid outa this!

  • I think I'm losing it. This singer is twisting and warping my mind with her hypnotic music. Learned about her like 20 mins ago. I'm in love.

  • Lets try not to stereotype here, I love Lady GaGa, but Ive recently been told about Emilie, Ive also seen that alot of GaGa fans like Emilie, Im really liking what Im hearing aswell. Lets try not to group people into certain genres of music...

  • this song to me gave me the sensation that it could be about domestic violence, or something like that, or even a girl that is in a relationship that is not satisfying for her from which she can't get rid off. by the way sorry if there's a mistake or two in my english, and my logic or lack of it.

  • @allxdvil Your close but not quite on, its about men being whores and going onto the next conquest, and how she/women should know better than to trust men, and doing it anyway, sleeping with them, and getting dumped. Then of course the consequence(for the women) of having their heart broken. (let the record show you murdered me)Hope this helps

  • @darkvision1 thank you, it helped a lot, i realy should stop seing the things literally and look deeper. and i'm so embarassed the comment got published, cause i realy thougth i pressed cancel. but thanks anyway.

  • @allxdvil Very few look at the true meaning of a song, and its no sin. thats whats great about music if this song means magical ponys to you, then it is! its open to interpretation, thats what makes music so powerful! It's just that generally when someone asks what a song is about they want the band/singer's meaning which is why i pointed it out. enjoy :)

  • @darkvision1 wow, i love the way you think, and probably i will start looking for the lyrics and listening more carefully to any other song, and never ever try to say what i think a song is about, cause i'll probably miss the true meaning and tell something completly oposite to it.

  • @darkvision1 I wouldn't go that far, the point of music isn't necassarily to find the artist's meaning of the song but your own meaning and attatchment. When I listen to Gothic Lolita I don't know Emilie's connotation to it but it brings back memories that are special to me.

  • I am oh so sorry replay button.

  • I'm not emo or anything like that , I'm accualy compared to people like Taylor Swift.Which Taylor is awesome. But lately I've been hooked on music like this for awhile.

  • @allisongirlfriend Emilie Autumn is not "emo." She is defined in a lot of different ways - classic, Gothic, mainly Violinindustrial or Victorianindustrial, which is a phrase she coined. When I think of "emo" I think of 30-something year olds dressed in black trying to relate to teenagers. When I think of Emilie, I think of a beautiful, lively, intelligent woman with a circus-like life, Victorian influences and making the best out of something difficult.

And she has pet rats! They're so cute.

  • @carouselstar I'm not really saying that she is emo I'm reallyjust saying most emo people listen to this kind of music.

  • @allisongirlfriend Which just proves you have no real idea what "this kind of music" is, and immediately stereotype anything remotely dark as emo.

  • @allisongirlfriend I can't explain how incorrect your opinion on this is.

I can't even put words to it.

  • @allisongirlfriend 'emo' people listen to music like Hawthorne Heights(certainly not judging, i like some of their songs) if you absolutely felt the need to label the kind of people who listen to "this kind of music" its goth

  • @allisongirlfriend Well okay, but in my opinion you don't have to be a particular style to listen to music - any type of music - and Emilie Autumn is more popular with Goth listeners as emo people tend to prefer alternative rock. Like maybe Hawthorne Heights or something. Although it isn't just Goth listeners; most of my Muffin friends on the EA Forum are super-girly.

  • @allisongirlfriend This isn't emo, but I'm not going to rip your head off like others might do. Also like the others I believe it's more goth. Well, one of my friends who I think is emo (by the way she dresses) loves Emilie Autumn.

  • @internalbleedingrose

Really? I'd classify EA and the Bloody Crumpets as a glam rock band or something, lol. Well to each his own.

  • @rsgirl10 Well I really don't know what glam rock is.

  • @rsgirl10 im not sure WHAT i would classify her as, matter of fact i dont think i WOULD classify her. her musical style and lyrics are different enough to not really fit into a genera. (and no i dont think the new idea of attaching as many tags to a style of music actually does anything other than confuse the issue. NO an alt band is not emo/rock & roll/Alternative/etc/etc. Its fucking alternative!) Anyway back to emily :)

  • @rsgirl10 Its victoriandustrial, not rock?? especially glam rcok!

  • @left4deadlover123

I think a lot of her stuff is victorindustrial, but I'd argue that overall, she's glam rock, mostly because of her glittery performances. Don't get me wrong, she's no girly version of Avril Lavigne, but her shows do reflect the style. I am a troll most of the time, but how about we agree to disagree?

  • @rsgirl10 if you listen properly you will regognise the genre, like enchant, thats folk, new age and pop? Opheliac is industrial and carbaret and classical. So what if her performance is glittery and glamourous the sylistic side is not rock, its mostly electronic

  • Kinda makes me think of the girl's story from "Thirteen Reasons Why"
