I just discovered nightwish a few years ago when i heard amaranth, my brother started to get into them and he bought this album but only listened to like "dark chest of wonders" and maybe one or two other songs, but just recently uploaded all the songs on to my iPod and i am just completely blown away buy how fantastic this entire album is, every song is fantastic!!! and i don't say that about alot of albums, in fact i say that about very few albums, but this album is just pure gold, fantastic!!
I get every line of this song, it's about a friend of their's(he's in the backing voice) who died of cancer. The only thing I don't understand is the "Your death saved me" part. Can anyone explain that to me?
Maybe: Tuomas felt grief for that friend, and when he died, it was a relief to him, because all the pain is gone. Something like that. (I don't try to say that he was happy or anything similar)
@imashellamit Hey!That friend that passed away,(Marc), say that, and Tuomas included part of the interview in this song, that he and nightwish dedicated (and composed) to him... I don't remember where is the story but if you search "marc brueland", I think you can found what I am saying =) see you!
