  • thats hot shit haha so funny

  • Someone explain plz. Is this commander or w/e he is being sarcastic with him? or is he being serious?

I dont really get it, what's the point of this scene?

  • This movie sucked

  • that part was sick.... 873 sir....

  • I was in the military and movies are not suppose to be accurate for obvious reasons.. last time i checked Hollywood doesn't want to advertise to the world how our military does everything.. so the fact this movie is not dead on accurate is for our military's safety... most soldiers know this but obviously not all

  • @GTwerdak Militarys safty? how about every soldier that post shit on the internet, or when new cameras follow us around in Iraq or Afghan...they show it all...

  • @Currahee506Infantry Thats funny hearing that from a guy with a video posted on there page... hmmm, and when has media ever televised military tactics i would like to know... televising a fire fight from a perspective is not the same as making a movie with everything accutrate

  • why? because every person who watches this film will think that is exactly how it is or was...not one part of this terrible movie did they go by an actuall SOP..if they were portraying this in 2003-04, then they should have used the DCU's and not ACU's.....nobody rolled out with one truck and 3 guys...insurgents didnt walk out with a cell phone while visible to soldiers....it didnt show anything remoetly right in this movie...thats what happens when a women directs it,..go figure..

  • better than avatar (whitch was REALLY terrible. i didin't even bothered to watch the whole movie), but sucks compared to black hawk down.

  • We come in, we get rid of dictators, we give every man, women, and young adult over 18 the privilege of voting, determining their own political future, then we train their police to deal with insurgent threats. We came in and saved your nation, what do you do? You set up roadside bombs and put several hundred pound shells in the back of cars just waiting for our troops. Thats gratitude for ya.

  • Super veiny arms ! Hot.

  • muy buena pelicula la atmosfera de tension es en realidad acojonante, y ps el personaje will es el tipo de persona que es adicto ala guerra o mas bn es lo unico q sabe hacer bien, muy buena cinta salu2

  • thats just hot shit

  • pibe la proximaen castellano que no entiendo ingles

  • This scene is significant because a high ranking officer (colonel) is addressing and showing a rare respect down toward a lower ranking staff sgt. Its a military thing. 873 bombs disarmed got him recognition from up the chain of command. This is the only time in the movie that you see SSGT James taking a standing at ease position because he's adressed by a higher rank.

  • You really have to drop that "killing civilians for oil" bullshit. In the heat of the moment of the Iraq war it was understandable, though not condonable, but enough time has passed to see the good work done by Coalition forces in Iraq. It would've been a lot simpler to have done a deal with Saddam if all we wanted was oil. These ill-informed opinions, though gratifying for some perverse reasons to some, are simple-minded, trite and fundamentally unserious.

  • @rollotwomassey I did two deployments to Iraq and I have yet to see them start building a huge oil pipe from the U.S to Iraq.

  • @TheArmy19D It would be a lot easier to get Iraqi oil then do what the US is actually trying to do- foster a consensual, stable, liberal capitalist democracy in the heart of the Arab world. Thank you for your service.

  • @rollotwomassey The U.S has plenty of oil. The only problem is that it is floating in the Gulf of Mexico

  • @rollotwomassey Thing is Iraq doesn't have oil contrary to what everybody thinks. Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia, those countries that are substantially abundant with oil. However, Iraq is not among those.

  • It means...Doing whatever you need to do to disarm it without dying...pretty simple.

  • @1mango3 The way you dont die means not blowing the bomb up. Because if you do blow it up, youre dead.

  • This better win Best Movie! So much better than Avatar!

  • @will3219 that is not saying much

  • @will3219 this movie sucked!!!!

  • @Currahee506Infantry Obviously it doesn't suck. It won 6 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. It was also nominated in another 3 categories including Best Actor. Stop trolling, dude.

  • @will3219 obviously you have never seen combat or iraq and have no idea what it is even like...nothing in that movie was correct you fucking tool...yes it did suck...now every douche bag that watches this has some idea on how it worked over there...

EOD doesnt roll like that..you fucking troll...

  • @Currahee506Infantry First of all I didnt say anything about he film being correct in the portrayal of the soldiers the film followed. All I said is that the film did not suck, so this whole comment is pointless. Yes you are correct, I havent seen any combt in life. But Mark Boal, the man who wrote the Hurt Locker, has. He was reporter during the ver beginning of the Iraq war.

  • @will3219 well im telling you from about every perspective of a soldier,,,,this film sucked, if it isnt trying to be a correct portrayal of EOD team then why go thru the trouble...they could have made it like every other dumbass movie about iraq. and i was in the first part of the war, there wasnt shit for IED's....it all started in OIF2 and beyond.....i dont care how well the film was made, it made soldiers look retarded...

shitty movie.. blackhawk down was ligit..

  • @Currahee506Infantry I would like to first thank you for your service. To me this film did not make soldiers look "retarded". But since you actually have experience and I do not. I would like to hear why you feel the way you feel about the portrayal of soldiers in this film.

  • @Currahee506Infantry This movie did suck all the points that you ,made, the ACU's in OIF 1, rolling thru sector in one truck, that was the same shit i was thinking when i was watching this moive, and poeople think that this was one of the best movies about iraq war. People who say that "its just a movie its not supposed to be acruate" can go to hell with that shit. They obviuosly dont know anything about "ATTENTION TO DEATAIL"

  • @Currahee506Infantry I will now confront your other colorful comment. Dont belittle me, I dont "suck hollywood's cock" as you so eloquently put it. I do care about awards, but only the Academy Awards. Every filmmaker, even the people who make your very favorite films hope to win one someday. Also why bring Blink-182 into this? Attacking a band that I enjoy while we are debating about a film is childish and irrelevent. But of course a lot of the things you have said are childish and irrelevent...

  • @will3219 OH and im glad you suck so much hollywood cock,...avatar was real also..we actually invaded there planet and raped them of there minerals...no shit story, and who the fuck cares about the awards..you are a tool sir...go jerk off to blink 283 or whatever the fuck there called...

  • @Currahee506Infantry man you need to chill, its a Hollywood movie, if they showed a eod team going by the sops, and had a whole convoy of people with them it would be a documentary. no Hollywood movie is totally accurate or else they wouldn't be so good, every war movie has some inaccuracy.

  • @Pearldrums417 serious, your going to defend this shit...whatever im over it.

  • @Currahee506Infantry I guess I win then. Oh and loved your comment earlier, "thats what happens when a women directs it,..go figure..". Seriously? You're just a trolling, sexist asshole.

  • @will3219 haha your right,,,all women should be in the kitchen...the best part of them is between there legs..hahah..fuck you....you think i give a shit what you say...i sleep well every night...hahahaha..

  • @Currahee506Infantry Um not all women should be in the kitchen we have the same amout of freedom as yall ok

  • @Currahee506Infantry I hope you understand that you, a soldier, are representing the military at the moment. So you should probably stop being a prick because what you are doing and saying right now is what makes soldiers look "retarded", as you said in one of your earlier comments, not what the characters did the Hurt Locker.

  • @will3219 Im sorry, are you still talking?

  • @Currahee506Infantry lol I will be done talking after this. Think about what I said about you representing the military and stop being a douchey troll.

  • @Currahee506Infantry Why are you such a prick? That's my only question to you.

  • @will3219 He just wants to comment on a movie to feel cool, he is going to point out everything not accurate so he feels like he is so smart, this movie is not at all accurate but like i said there are real reasons for that..

  • Comment removed

  • @will3219 dude fuck avatar seriously.... hurt locker was a heartstopper great movie totally agreed

  • was it just me or didn't anyone find this scene a bit odd in the movie? - it kind of didn't go anywhere as if maybe they goofed and what we see is a meaningless edit of something greater.

  • @stonefisk well in the military...if you have outstanding performance yyou usually get noticed for it. That guy calling him a wild man was a colonel. a very high ranking officer. sgt james is an E-6 staff sgt. thats why his attitude quicly changes when he gets out of the hummer. its just depicting what usually happens when a high ranking officer shows respect to a lower ranking noncommissioned officer.

  • Your a wild man you know that?

  • Looks like a SOG on Reed's molle. OR it could be a S&W...?

  • YOU'RE A WILD MAN!

  • Haven't seen it yet, but definitely want to.

  • this movie is epic
