I saw in another documentary that an atheist actually sued the astronauts when they got back for violating the separation of church and state for reading from the book of Genesis. What an inconsiderate moron.

@DisappearingBoy2010 Yeah. Madalyn Murray O'Hare. That was her whole thing, campaigning for atheism. She was such a rude and abrasive person that she really didn't grant her cause much credibility. I'm an atheist myself but I thought that the quote from Genesis was most appropriate. And, since the astronauts were, in effect, quoting a piece of world literature, and not evangelising, I think her actions were unwarranted.

Apollo 8 is shooting blindly for the moon. computers calculate the trajectory, who writes this shit? ok, artistic licence with words you say then what is it they are trying to sell truth, history? or something bigger than life? i dont think they went to the moon because it was hard. i think they went because it was easy.

The moon rocks are the proof, as we proudly gave some moon rocks to highly respected international scientists and NOT ONE ever came forth claiming that they were not directly from the moons surface!!! @DrVegasIII Freedom of speech is one thing but they make a complete abuse of it. Some people just want attention and unfortunately those cowards hide behind the 1st Amendment. People like us don't think truth is relative to someone's opinion. We went to the moon. They can have their ill-begotten opinion but they deserve to be put in their place. I'm proud of the US and our achievements in space. God bless our astronauts. They deserve their honor.
