  • PAGE TWO...... whinny is an arabian, and it's not uncommon to have melanomas in white arabians; his began appearing when he was about 10 or 12; he is now 22. i pray he lives another 10-15 years!!!! there is no surgery for melanomas; they just seem to multiply when cut on. the vets have had many great successes with their treatments, and we hope to write a paper one of these days for the DVM magazine. it takes being diligent and committed! please keep me posted!! annie

  • my horse is only 3 so I hope I still get many years. the bumps are about the size of peas.

  • Hi, your horse had melanomas? were you still able to ride him and use him. I noticed my horse has 2 tiny ones near his muzzle and 2 tiny ones near the top end of his legs, they are small black and hard and I can touch them and whatever and he dosent care. He is a light palomino. he is keeping weight and everything fine. should I be concerned?

  • these acupuncture treatments really have made a difference, plus he gets 8 Shaklee NutriFeron tabs, 8 HerbLax tabs every day, and i have also tried some chinese herbs. the Interlaken Veterinary Center in waconia MN is where the vets practice; they travel around the country. 888-452-4421 .
