  • He works with Zionist comedians. Well u know, they control the damn media. So what do u expect from Joos.

  • oy vey!

  • I wonder if in telling the history of the world in 75 minutes Colin Quinn made any other errors.

  • The sheer mistake that this dude is making is that he assumes that entertainment should be the truth. He is doing it to be funny, not truthful. It's funny that no one has the same gripes about people like Ridley Scott creating fictional characters (like Maximus) in Roman times.

  • jeez. are you a complete moron? or you still perfecting the trade?

Colin is just a funny guy pointing out how loopy the world is.

  • @Assassination110 Yeah, too bad hes a fucking moron. He should stick to trying to be funny instead of pushing neocon lies to a gullible public.

  • its comedy! its a joke.... we all know what really happen. find a better topic to hit... coz with this you just appear stupid.

  • when did colin say that the iraq war was a joke? also, soldiers don't have to be tricked into going to war. they are soldiers. they follow orders. colin's bit about iraq is not a deliberate lie, he's not a fucking member of the new world order you dummy. and why do you think he doesnt care about dead iraqis?at least give him credit for figuring out that the brits wore red to impress france, a country they had a crush on.

  • is this guy for real? its humor u dumb nastily retard...ur the type of dummy that goes to comedy shows and take the content literally... Colin Quinn is Brilliant and the fact you are exposing his genius means your falling into what he wants to happen. Its comedy!!!!! not based on fact the goal isnt to factual the goal is to be funny keep writing your hack blog about politics n stay away from comedy something you know nothing about

  • CRY MORE

  • Saddam was a perfect leader for Iraq.

    Israel is the heavy.

US will pay for it's genocide in Iraq and perhaps in Iran.

    There is a God.

  • its humour not propaganda, anxious fool

  • Shut up ya face!

  • he's trying to make a joke work... this is retarded

  • also talking about lies, you're lying about wtc7...ya hypocrite

  • of course it is full of lies...it is backed by a jew lmao

  • UM, Colin is a comedian. NOT a reporter. His show was funny. Not meant as a textbook history lesson.

  • The person who made this video and the people who have given it a thumbs up are complete morons.

  • Hey, anyone notice the New York accent on the uploader? I bet this is one of the Jews that got Collin's show cancelled. ;)

  • For fuck's sake....it's a stand-up bit, you literal, unfunny twat. Are you going to analyze Chris Rock and Louis CK's act next?

  • @CoolerKing37 but jokes are only funny if they are based on some truth. In the uploader's examples, the parts that supposed to be based on truth, aren't. It's like saying ," Hitler was supposedly spreading democracy, but all he ended up doing was spreading Jews like peanut butter!" See that's not funny, (it wouldn't probably be funny if I hadn't mentioned democracy) but it's especially nonsensical because the first part is showing ignorance of the issue.

  • @donluchitti If you're seriously looking for historical accuracy in a comedy show (or any entertainment outlet for that matter) then wrap your lips around a shotgun barrel now.

  • Comment removed

  • @CoolerKing37 Historical accuracy is actually very important in humor, give me an example of A joke that incorporates history or politics that doesn't have SOME aspect that's based on truth. If you believe that yea, Iraq wasn't letting UN inspectors in and that they did have wmd's (instead of the fact that the intelligence was bunk and Saddam did let the UN in) then, yes, this part of the stand-up is funny. Thing is, Colin's metaphor doesn't make sense. 10 years ago, it was hillarious, stupid.

  • @CoolerKing37 and yes, I was quoting Colin Quinn calling you 'stupid', stupid. Colin quin is a genius and if you watched tough crowd, you'd know that he was often ripped for being a Bush kiss up, not to mention someone referencing shit that was old, just like the Iraq metaphor, which only makes sense from a 2002 perspective. The rest of this standup is brilliant tho.

  • so many opinions, but nobody will ever get down to the absolute truth. The big men in the big chairs are greedy, lets just leave it at that.

  • Look to the brilliant George Carlin, who often times (especially from the early 90s onward, first Gulf slaughter, etc) used and elevated the medium of stand up comedy as a form of social critique and protest. He was the one and only big name comic who openly and repeatedly referred to the Bush/Cheney admin as "fascist," understood what was happening in the US, and when asked about 9/11 'inside job,' replied, "they don't investigate themselves in the US. Always question the Consensus Reality."

  • thanks for the add queer

  • Look ive known this man over 20 years .This is a comedy routine ..not statements of fact .what part of a comedy act ( standup act , hence pretend ) do you not understand ? gawd I know the Zionist are running things but lay off Colin , hes a good person

  • @katcampbell1 i guess he thinks Colin is deliberately perpetuating the idea that UN inspectors were thrown out of Iraq, something he believes is part of the conspiracy that got us into the war for other reasons, by using it as the foundation of a foreign relations joke so casually that he's intentionally making everyone think that's what they're supposed to believe had happened. this guy is a fucking kook, but the joke is based on Colin's perception of reality. it isn't just abject nonsense

  • @katcampbell1

Colin lied, plain and simple. Your friend lied in front of millions of viewers, he perpetuated the lie. Your liar friend is a liar and he's very good at lying. Oh, he tries to be funny too but he's not as good at that.

  • @mscir Colin is a comic selling laughs , not a man giving a seminar on current events

he is my friend and i say to you , hey disagree but dont bash my friend because you wish to be vindictive and feel you have the greater truth .What have you done today to add something positive to your fellow man ?I agree to disagree and if i felt this way about one ofr your friends i would not respond in such a manner as you

  • @katcampbell1

Nepotism is favoritism granted to relatives or friends regardless of merit.[1] The word nepotism is from the Latin word nepos, nepotis (m. "nephew"), from which modern Romanian nepot, Italian nipote and Catalan nebot "nephew" or "grandchild" are also descended.

  • Sorry but who the hell is Colin Quinn?

  • This could very well be the dumbest post in the history of youtube.

  • HOLY SHIT!! Someone is telling a joke!! Did u hear that a joke!! He's not telling u fact for fact, ITS A COMEDY SHOW lol damn u ppl r uptight lol guy who made this video- find urself a hobby n try not to look to at everything like its being force fed to u. Change the channel dummy, just dont give any kind of opinion because u really r struggling to understand the message of a COMEDY show. For ur sake not mine, get a life or at least a personality lol

  • This is such bullshit! God, I hate when comedians tell lies and stuff! I mean, Iraq and America can't even talk let alone go to bars and be in parking lots? How could the whole of Iraq fit into one parking lot? How could America even search Iraq? It doesn't have hands! This is why I like my comedy based in reality, like Larry the Cable Guy.

  • public discourse being serious conversation, this is a stand up comedy, your not supposed to take it seriously......take shots at people who are actually trying to convey a message of falsehoods, like, ummm, beck, or hannity, heck the entire fox news orginization, what about trump, question, were you offended when palin was lampooned on snl a few years back, don't answer that.

  • This was a good video. I can't understand your marriage to the official nonsense on 9/11, because its what is undermining your credibility, but on this issue you're dead on. You should feel able to stand apart from Noam Chomsky. He's not God, and he's not right on everything. Especially this issue. 9/11 was clearly... obviously false flag. And the nano-thermite in the dust... the burned cars... come on man! You're a bright guy. Noam is wrong on this one.

  • Politicians lie..... you have to in order to be one. Is there any "legitimate war"? The ego will tell you this one can defeat another..... but the truth is.... in Iraq we are dealing with a religion.... they are adamant about their religion as the Christians... of course.... Christianity is the only "true" religion...lol .... Its all a joke, the sooner you laugh the better off you are.

  • do you think this intelligent man(colin quinn) didn't know he was lieing? hes playing along in their game too, embedded comedians aswell as embedded press.

we need all journalists to dissengage from their roles as scare mongers of the rich and report the truth.

  • Holy shit. It's a comedy show you heavy accent having douche

  • Did you watch the entire show ? Did you see the part where an hour and 17 minutes in he makes fun of how, after America hit Iraq, they tried to show everyone the supposed gun but couldn't find it ? Picking apart comedy is the dumbest most worthless thing one could do. People should really watch his show, witch is hilarious, and then make up their mind about what he's saying !

  • I can sum up history even quicker. Greedy & powerhungry gov'ts lie about everything because they don't want us to know what they are doing while they enslave and eradicate us. And for the dishonor shoveled towards us here in the south, the most valuable plantation in the south had both black and white (mostly Irish) slaves and was owned by a black man. History books are as factual as religious books. But the grass sure does taste good, baaahh.

  • What the Hell. Every time we choose American President they all start war. Fuck the U.S. presidents. They all love to kill, kill, kill. Our government is controlled by Israel. All speech is reported by Zionist Americans. People look at their last names. When you see those who lie they all have German last names. You need to see they are American Jews control the media. Wake up stupid Americans! we need to see the real truth behind our two face government. Muslims are victims. Liars live long.

  • in the 90's Saddam tried to nationalize Iraq's economy and shut out foreign investors. considering Iraq has the largest oil reserves in the world, this was a nightmare for Wall Street. the first thing the invaders did was reverse this. if any soldiers truly believe they were sent their to rid the country of evil out of the goodness of their leaders' hearts, and that all those iraqi fighters resisting their presence are insane evil "terrorists," then may god have mercy on their souls

  • @sheepblitzer I understand what you are saying, but Saddam was an evil piece of shit regardless

  • I wouldn't watch that program anyway. What do these guys know about history? Sounds like a another brainwashing moment for the millions who watch this. I can imagine the whitewashed falsified ancient history they tell as well. I don't need to learn my history from mainstream comedians, who work with mainstream media. If that doesn't scream misinformation then I don't know what does. Just seems like they are using comedy to make their misinformation agendas more palatable. I'll pass.

  • colin Quinn ....is a dimsim...

  • He sucks as a comedian, so I'm not surprised that he sucks as a historian.

This "show" keeps Mr. Quinn employed for a while and makes Jerry Seinfeld MORE money.

It is so NOT funny. Mr. Quinn mumbles and talks fast. His diction, accent, and enunciation are awful.

  • Dude he's a comedian not a newscaster, get a fucking life

  • @mattydigs I say in the video "Lies dominate public discourse in this country. Here's another example: Colin Quinn theater show on HBO" so what is wrong with this example? You think it is OK to spread lies in service of an illegal, immoral and outrageously destructive (to both US citizens and people in Iraq and other places) if your a "comedian"? And military.com claims Colin Quinn is not only the funniest guy in the room but also the smartest" & apparently he's feeding lies to our troops @ USO

  • @representativepress No one gives a fuck about anything that comes out of his mouth. We're prob mostly on the same page, but talking about Quinn is waste of time.

  • @mattydigs Supercilious. Quinn obviously has a large following. A cursory search on this very website shows that. So either you're discriminating based on intelligence (i.e. "nobody important follows him anyway") or you're just spitting on heads from your ivory tower and need to get in touch. Fail / fail.

  • @JoeZaza100 And how many of his supposedly "large" following take his word as gospel? or are too stupid to remember what happened? Not that many I'd surmise. I wasn't even paying attention at the time and I still remember that Saddam let the inspectors in after delaying the whole thing for quite a bit (leading some to believe that he 'got rid of the weapons') You really don't give people enough credit.BTW He is garbage and thats why he got cancelled.Guess his 'large' following couldn't save him

  • @mattydigs Whether people believe him or simply don't remember wasn't the issue. You said that nobody cares about what he says, & people obviously care. You were wrong, & yet deign to qualify people that are also wrong by virtue of nothing more than their inabilities. You perpetuate inequality through intellectual discrimination, & use the limited knowledge that either you've learned or stealthily borrowed from others to vainly pride yourself therein. If anything is stupid, it's your arrogance.

  • Comment removed

  • @mattydigs fuck you, how bout that you idior, it doesn't matter that he's a comedian he's perpetuating a lie, oh and he's a shit comedian also

  • @mattydigs So what, Comedians can't lie , can't be wrong , can't propagandize . Nobody said he was a newscaster numbnuts .

Read slowly , the premise of his joke was WRONG but it's OK when it supports establishment propaganda and lies .

It's called context and that's 100,000 plus IRAQIS slaughtered for NOTHING . So MORE LIES is OK ?

  • @mattydigs cooper is one of the most well know reporters in the united states....asshat

  • @mattydigs if he is going to say he is going to do all of history in a funny way then they should make sure that the truth is told. Otherwise its misinforming the public. Unless there is a disclaimer saying "this is not accurate history" then yes people should be upset with this.

  • @mattydigs it's true he's a comedian but the people that go see his show think he is somewhat telling the truth, like the old saying goes "behind every joke there's a little bit of truth" so get the facts straight and then do your show.

  • @mattydigs Definition of an ad hominem. Why don't you try contending with his factual statements? What you said was rude, crass and makes you look like a complete asshole. Representative Press is one of the best youtube news channels for getting the facts. I'd say in my opinion, the best.

  • @IsupportWikileaks I am not condoning Quinn, i just think most people are smarter than that so it really doesn't do much good to point him out. I actually support this channel. I just think that this particular video is somewhat of a waste of time. There are a lot more pressing things that could use some attention.

  • Cut your Talmudvision cable. Cancel your Netflix account. Start going to the library instead of the Cineplex. Who cares what Colin Quinn or any entertainers think or say? They're "mummers" not mahatmas! Cancel your subscription to the New York Times. Go for a high colonic mind douche and then go buy a gun.

  • (cont'd) Saddam claimed UNSCOM inspectors were spying, and he was right. Scot Ritter was one of those inspectors and talks openly about the spying that occurred. Meanwhile, the media gave 0 credibility to the claim and presented the story as if it was an excuse for Saddam to kick out the inspectors (which did happen ultimately) and Clinton bombed.

If you would like to hear some facts like this about Iran, please watch my video:

    "Please Do Not Attack Iran"

  • @primovid It was the UN, NOT Saddam, who ordered the inspectors to leave in 1998: "The U.N. orders its weapons inspectors to leave Iraq ...": 12/16/98 "the U.N. ordered its inspectors to leave Iraq this morning" 12/16/98 ""The chief U.N. weapons inspector ordered his monitors to leave ..." 12/16/98 "Butler ordered his inspectors to leave Iraq."" 2/17/98 See links in the video info.

  • In January 1998, his inspection team in Iraq was blocked from some weapons sites by Iraqi officials making claims that information obtained from these sites would be used for future planning of attacks. UN Inspectors were then ordered out of Iraq by the United States Government, shortly before Operation Desert Fox attacks began in December 1998

  • I appreciate the video. There is a lot of misinformation out there and this helps us to reexamine what we hear. Actually, there is a little bit more to this story. As you recall, it was not Bush who initially bombed Baghdad...it was Clinton, which shows that America's belligerent foreign policy is not unique to republicans at all--case in point, Obama. Anyway, Saddam, did, indeed allow access for UNSCOM weapons inspectors, however, he restricted it later because he said they were spying (p1)

  • Comedy show , don't take it seriously ... 4real.

  • Written and directed by the Rockefellers!

  • only way to fight this, is to read, to research, kill ignorance and brainwash.

  • If you want to have a free independent press, I think you need to start by putting together a dedicated team of journalists who are willing to work for little or no pay. You'll probably find them among the young croud, aspiring investigation journalists looking to make a name for themselves. I have no ideas concerning marketing, though. All the independent internet-based publications I know of are small scale, volunteer-based and extremely unprolific.

  • @nicolibri "Unprolific"... great word. But yeah—exactly. Since its worldwide proliferation in the 1990s, the internet has been an unconscious movement towards the independent investigation of the truth. And that independence requires freedom. Not just "1st Amendment" freedom, but freedom from the monetary noose that literally *prevents* travel & communication. I'm not saying abolish money, but doing away w/relationships of profit in favor of relationships of SERVICE might suffice.

  • @nicolibri However, if you apply profit structures such as marketing & the "fame" motive (which is really just the profit motive in disguise), that only undermines the goal of the free, independent dissemination of information in the first place. The age of high profile is ending, & Warhol's idea of everyone getting their 15 mins. of fame is coming true. The web is making that happen, as simultaneously the old school of media (news, music, film, & publishing) is suffering from a lack of talent.

  • @nicolibri Viral videos are competing against celebrity and leadership worship in the public discourse. Mostly stupid ones, but those like Wikileaks video, too. The folks that make these things are also sometimes hideously untalented, but the point is that though they try, the classic corporate structure cannot harness the creative influx that the internet provides nor exploit it consistently. Why pay when you can bootleg easily?

  • @nicolibri So neither marketing it or being famous is the point, here. The point is that in order to be free and independent, it has to be free, period. Many people used Twitter & Facebook to communicate during the Egyptian protests. Some lady in Egypt named her recently newborn son "Facebook"! In the U.S., that's ridiculous—sure. I've even seen videos of people ranting and making fun of the fact. But it just goes to show how important the internet & economically free dissemination is becoming.

  • @JoeZaza100 I agree with all of your comments in principle, but I fail to see how they can work in practice. Sure, we'd all like to do away with some of the basic principles governing journalism at its present state, but right now all we have is a constellation of independent initiatives sprouting all over the internet with little or no synergy, except those gathering around an immediate need (i.e. the Egyptian Revolution) but dispersing shortly thereafter. They need to be institutionalized.

  • @nicolibri The tug of war between tradition and progress will forever live, sure. But what I'm suggesting is the current exigency for progress in favor of institutionalization. Tightening the noose through internet regulation—especially during this climate of skepticism towards the government—isn't going to do anything but fan the already burning flames of dissension. The U.S. government is back to McCarthy/J. Edgar Hoover status w/the patriot act, homeland security, & classified information.

  • @nicolibri So the need exists here as well. Not everyone knows why we're at war... whether they support it or oppose it. This is a problem. O_O Maybe you're right. Maybe the large group of dissenting voices WILL disperse shortly after this internal conflict washes over. But it hasn't yet. It hasn't even reached its tipping point yet. It's still coming to a head. =/

  • @nicolibri I'd also like to say that neither am I nor was I talking about doing away with government. The government is a universal social institution that has been proven to exist throughout civilization. Current institutions that exist but did not in the past are medicine and the media. To this day, there are societies where these institutions don't exist. But family, education, economy, politics, law, and religion are the six universal ones that have historically made up each culture.

  • @nicolibri Those cultures go wrong when one of those institutions become subordinate to another. Ideally, they're supposed to operate equally and interdependently. When one institution becomes subordinate to another, or when all of them become subordinate to one, we have a sub-system. Currently, the cultural institutions of the west are in an economic sub-system, because the economy subjugates the remaining 5 institutions.

  • @nicolibri I'm not talking about abolishing either the institutions of government or economy. But I am talking about changing the current economic matrix that the other institutions are trapped within. And I think that all stems from inequality based on race, gender, and most importantly, class. But these problems are often looked at as if they're the problems of people of color, women, and the poor. They're actually dilemmas of the rich, white, & male elite. This is increasingly becoming clear.

  • @nicolibri But continuing with a theme I made in previous posts, I don't mean to give a "false burden" that exists only for the elite. The real thing that needs to happen is for people to universally acknowledge inequality, & to stop being lulled into this age-old dream that America is a "level playing field" where "rags to riches" can come true. Those that go from one to the other are always tokens, never acquire real wealth, & as we've seen in recent history, will run rampant if they do.

  • @nicolibri Also this idea that there's no synergy (the term is a hybrid of "synonymous energy"—or COOPERATION, and was invented by Stephen R. Covey, who wrote pop-psych) is just not true. While it may be true that organizations currently banding together on the wheels of vehicles like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are using the technical constructs of these websites, it's clear that groups of people are cooperating to spread a narrative that runs counter to the mainstream.

  • @nicolibri So counter to "popular belief" (I'd rather call it "manufactured belief"), this is not anarchy developing here. This is again, the independent investigation of the truth becoming facilitated through perhaps the penultimate development of the industrial revolution: the information age. In the 90's, sociologists used to call it "the post-modern age" because they didn't know what to call it. But now they know that information can no longer be withheld as a commodity.

  • @nicolibri And most folks are getting hip to the game, too. This is happening in the collective consciousness, but it isn't yet clear. Some folks try to hold on to old hopes of fame & fortune from an increasingly obsolete construct, & try to achieve "15 minutes" of viral fame as a "springboard". Others already tried, succeeded, but have moved on to look for something more "lucrative". And yet few lucidly realize this, try to seriously engage public discourse, & forget about playing "the game".

  • Seinfeld is a jew....enough said.

  • @JamesTCA Ugh. Hate breeds hate. Saying that "he's a Jew" and that that's enough is only paranoid discrimination based on religion. It IS true that the controlling powers of the West are largely white, males, & profiteers. But to think that the elite are going to somehow relent their perpetual system of control by scaring the fuck out of them & saying "KILL WHITEY!!" or "IT'S THE JEWS!!"—?? Never worked, never will.

  • @JoeZaza100 Google "culture of critique preface"

  • @JamesTCA That ISN'T "enough said" because that's not a point being made in this video & I've shown plenty of Jews saying accurate things AND did you miss, not that it's a point being made here, that Colin Quinn is "Irish American" (says Irish Central's article, "Irish American stand up Colin Quinn's one man show will take New York by storm. Quinn talks about his Brooklyn background and his fierce Celtic pride") And there should not be any generalization about Americans of Irish decent either.

  • @representativepress Just because 1 out of 10 jews isn't a lying, cheating swindler, does not mean we cannot discount the center of the bell curve. Are you not familiar with the works of Dr. Kevin Macdonald?

  • @JamesTCA Specifically w/the Hebs, those kinds of alarming appeals are HOW they rationalize their anti-Iranian backlash. I studied Hebrew for a year w/a completely Israeli department @ the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. The narrative coming from ground-level (i.e. non-elite) Israelis is largely akin to "When Hitler said he was going to kill the Jews, Europe & the U.S. did nothing—then he did it! Are we supposed to wait for Ahmadinejad to do the same?"

  • @JamesTCA So you can see that spitting discrimination DOES have an effect. And this is coming from leftist Israelis who DIDN'T go for the hawkish Likud party. I was completing my class @ DLI during the 2009 Israeli elections. Minus one from Jerusalem, EVERY ONE of them voted for Kadima & Tsipi Livni! They knew that if Netanyahu got into place that Obama & he would create a political stalemate. If politics matters at all. P_P Either way, you can see that not "all Jews" spit a twisted narrative.

  • @JoeZaza100 Yes, splitting discrimination does indeed have an effect! Who do you think has been the most prevalent in that movement here in the U.S.? The Irish? Italians? Eskimos? No, JEWS have been at the forefront. Google "culture of critique preface".

  • @JamesTCA Plus, if you study recent history, you'll see that tandem U.S./Israeli politics CAN matter. The last time the U.S. & Israel were in a left-left alignment was in 1992, when Clinton & Rabin were in office. And whether by artifice or not, that was the last time any sort of real public steps were made between Israel and Palestine. And that point holds water whether or not the U.S. made Clinton appear as if HE "brokered" it in the history book photo as well.

  • @JamesTCA Rabin got shot by somebody representing conservative Israeli interests (i.e. make no concessions to Arabs). But the Israeli public mourned his death, along with the progress he made in the peace process that died with him. The elite have always had the ability to hire destitute people to kill for them in their back pocket, & play it like it's what "the people" wanted. How? By creating poverty THROUGH discrimination & inequality. Shit that you're perpetuating. So check it @ the door.

  • @JamesTCA some of the most outspoken people against this illegal war are Jews. To paint all Jews as being sheeple that follow AIPAC is very closed minded and racist. Even in Israel there are Jews who are very outspoken against the bad things that are done.

  • @moh2o I'd even go so far as to say that Israeli/Arab relations manifest in Israeli society the same way the white/black dichotomy has in the United States. Because while Israelis of Arab descent are a minority in the caucus & tend to be stopped & harassed more, it's seen by Ashkenazis as sort of "hip" or "more street" to be "anti-establishment" & to speak with a Mizrahi (Arab) accent. At least in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Haifa, & Eilat. Jerusalem Israelis are usually less inclined & more right-wing.

  • @moh2o It's interesting how things manifest there. It would be ethnocentric to say that it's a microcosm of our history here (founded on stolen land, persecution & marginalization of "minorities", war mongering disguised as peace loving, radically industrialized & information based society, clandestine political & military operations, border problems, strong bi-partisan dichotomy), but Israelis that attempt to inveigle Americans to their perspective often use our history as justification.

  • @moh2o It's also funny how folks in the USAF talk about the country. There was a large rift between other language students & us Hebrew learners at DLI. Though the department tried to convince us that Arab suppression was right, most of us saw past the words & were disturbed by what we saw. But others more oblivious to the imagery both in the Air Force & at the school have this idea that Israel is "awesome", "bad-ass", & even that "their military could kick our asses".

  • @moh2o Oh—and by "funny", I mean fucked up. But yes, despite all these unconscious manifestations of support for the Israeli elite's agenda, there ARE many Ashkenazi Jews that vocally identify with the Palestinian struggle. But then there are many white folks that identify with the U.S. minority struggle. At protests, in the media, academia, & even in politics. But the problems are systemic & persist. So though JamesTCA IS prejudiced, I can understand where the backlash comes from.

  • @moh2o Anyone that follows international politics (especially if they've fought & known people that have died in the war), white Americans of German descent, scholar of Nazi history (I'm surprised at how many people in the U.S. military—though ultimately expressing condemnation—express admiration for Hitler as a "military strategist"), viewer of "South Park", follower of Mel Gibson's movies, or plain schmo that can't make it in show-business can easily cough up an "anti-Semitic" remark.. (cont.)

  • @moh2o Which is reprehensible, but it doesn't make it incomprehensible either. Plus I think Israeli supporters are too quick to slap the "anti-Semitic" label onto what opponents of Israeli policy say. Even when they DO make a civil & clear case. Like the T.V. series, "The Boondocks", which uses the words "nigger" and "nigga" frequently as a way to open up public discourse, I think that there needs to be some popular cultural vehicle that can do this for Israeli & Jewish issues.

  • @moh2o But again, those are organizations governed by a small few and not the majority. So keep in mind that while I do go far in saying so, I say so only to highlight backlash, & that I am forever mindful that it is only a discriminatory reaction to a tightly controlled, mass disseminated narrative. Other more enlightened folks that, through experience, have been less inclined towards inequality & separatism are forced to create marginalized counter-narratives like this video as a consequence.

  • What there rewriting history, people will say but its a comedy show, bad thing is some people will use this time line as there reference of history, anyone with half a brain and time would look for themselves or just remember, it wasnt that long ago. Recent just from memory Iraq history we get Iraq to fight Iran we dont like when saddam goes to Kuwait we fight Iraq then we fight Iraq again because aparently he had WMD`s did he NO Hans Blix was there for years and others all said NO WMD`s here.

  • @representativepress I agree with your opinions regarding the MSM.

Maybe we should ask ourselves: Does the MSM truly reflect the aspects of a democratic society? (Just calling a society democratic simply doesn't make it so).

If we should have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, then maybe this should include the MSM as well? That is to say, all MSM news anchors would have to be voted in by the people, just like politicians.

Personally, I'd vote FOX News out of office!

  • @GoodVibezin I also agree… but I think it's important to avoid objectifying "society" or "the MSM" when analyzing them. "Does society do this?" or "Does the MSM do that?" are fruitless strives. I'm not simply talking about stirring sedition by "waking people up" about who owns this country, either. Pointing the finger @ 1 thing (e.g. a Rothschild or rich group) doesn't work because people generally reject that. Good analysis avoids the "whys", asks the "hows", & exposes the truth piecemeal. =)

  • Thumbs up.. Someone gotta do the sweeping of all the dusty propaganda.. You make me feel ashamed that I can't get myself together to do some of the weeping..

    Thanking you :)

  • So free press still exists. Good job!

  • I love how you guys also have your fucks fucked xD

  • History will omit Hans Blix.

  • Back in his SNL days he hosted a segment called Colin Quinn Explains The New York Times and a lot of this schtick comes from there. Even back then it was apparent that he is one of millions of conservative-leaning Americans who selectively regurgitate any MSM news stories that further their beliefs in American exceptionalism and bolster their feelings of patriotism (read: nationalism) with long held myths that America is a good guy or a "Sleeping Giant" whose heart is always in the right place.

  • @SylvanaForrester However, when stories come up that belie these myths, it is merely proof that the news has a liberal (read: America hating) bias. Have you ever seen "Tough Crowd"? Sometimes it was a decent show, but often (especially when Nick DiPaolo was on) there was a major undercurrent of racism, sexism and homophobia disguised as people with conservative values taking a stand against the liberal media by refusing to be PC and presenting a reality where white men are the true underdogs.

  • @SylvanaForrester

if you watch when greg giraldo was on, he destroyed other comedians with liberal ideas and superior comedy

  • @mazdaplz Yeah, i was a huge Greg Giraldo fan. It's sad we lost him.

  • it didn't strike you at all that ending a video about how misleading and manipulative the media is with, "There are children without parents because of this. Think of the children!" makes you sound like a hypocritical asshole?

  • @nickypeeps

quote miner, he goes to say: think of that for a second, (even) if you don't really care about the irakis (that are being killed). that's pretty clear to understand

  • @mazdaplz i didn't misunderstand it, stupid. it's just something that can be said about anything, and is said about everything, to force people into emotionally investing in their causes. "If you don't care about the Colombian slave laborers dying in Coca Cola factories, at least think of the American children getting early onset diabetes!"

  • @nickypeeps What's the missing premise from the argument, "Don't look at the sun or you'll go blind?" Well, what if I want to go blind? The missing premise is the supposition that everyone wants to keep their sight.

So I don't understand what you're saying here. I don't see any coercion. Projecting your insecurities about what you don't care for by accusing RP of making an "appeal to emotion" is a waste of time. Just admit that you don't care about kids, ignore the video, and move on.

  • @nickypeeps

    diabetes? really?

so having an insulin problem is the same as a bullet to the head, right?

    right.....

i didn't imply you misunderstood, stupid.

i was accusing you of quote mining to try and misrepresent

  • @mazdaplz aside from how "that's pretty clear to understand" DOES imply that you thought i didn't understand him, liar, i was pointing out that you can arbitrarily pick anything and say it's hurting children. it's manipulative psychology 101. in what way did i misrepresent his point? he could have said "Dogs are losing their owners due to this war!" but he didn't. he went with the example every fucking soccer mom uses to try to force guilt onto people when they can't think of something better

  • @nickypeeps It is outrageous that people are being conned about something as deadly serious as war. Sometimes some smart asses like to make excuses for having soldiers go off and possibly be killed or maimed. I also have see a depraved indifference on the part of some about the deaths of Iraqis. There is nothing at all wrong with pointing out a fact which is real and horrific. That this isn't some damn game, that there are horrible consequences LIKE children losing a parent for no good reason.

  • @representativepress i wouldn't disagree with a single thing you just said except for the fact that you are continuing to act like you picked "orphans" out of thin air when it's the number one most manipulative point anyone can make. you didn't say "Aunts are losing their nephews!" you're exploiting the innocence of children to make a point about the media being manipulative without realizing the hypocrisy before you posted it, and i accurately pointed it out. lets just fucking move along

  • @representativepress you made a corny, "Think of the children!" statement, and there's no way around it, so just drop it. pretend I didn't say anything if that will make you feel better, but just know that we both know what's going on

  • @nickypeeps with all the rah-rah and gung-ho support for these wars from people with power, I don't see the point I made being made at all. IS that why you resent it?

Just because there have been people that say "think of the children" over other issues doesn't at all diminish the reality of what I said. When people criticize use of "think of the children" it ISN'T WHEN THERE IS REAL SERIOUS HARM BEING DONE TO THEM! WHy in the world would one criticize THAT?

  • @representativepress what if the kid's dad who died in Iraq was silently molesting and abusing him when he was home? did the Iraq war help that kid?

are you still not understanding my point?

  • @nickypeeps I think you are showing how depraved the rationalization can be for wars.

You like the Iraq war? You think it was just and necessary? Legitimate? Legal? Moral? Seems you do if you take the time to attack someone who is pointing out negatives which never really get aired on TV.

Warped rationalization. Yes, you're created the new slogan for the next war, "support the war because it could end up killing soldiers who molest their children"

  • @representativepress you're right. you are a media outlet, since you are already incredibly good at spinning shit. are we already assuming the "next war" will also be unjust and unnecessary, stupid?

  • @nickypeeps why, you think only an "unjust and unnecessary" war would need such a good slogan like "support the war because it could end up killing soldiers who molest their children"?

I don't think my comment necessarily assumed anything but it would be a good assumption given the track record and the powers that be. And look at the history. What has changed? Obama has done it again.

  • @nickypeeps I don't think you have the right priorities. You didn't answer this: You like the Iraq war? You think it was just and necessary? Legitimate? Legal? Moral?

  • Comment removed

  • @nickypeeps This is the broken window fallacy twisted to a whole new level:

    watch?v=QG4jhlPLVVs

And I do mean twisted. Logic is not an end in itself. It's a tool—a MEANS to an end. Would you try to use scissors to hammer a nail? or a hammer to cut paper? You could try.. but it might be unsafe &/or defeat the point. Just as you undermined your own point.

So the only real point you've proved is that when someone attempts to use logic to justify everything, it can cost them their very humanity.

  • @nickypeeps Fact i, there is nothing "misleading and manipulative" about pointing out a horrific fact that focuses people on an example of the ugly reality of how these lies are costing us. These wars ARE hurting children and I point out what I think many overlook. Seems you really resent that. And I do think people should feel guilty for doing something horribly wrong. What world do you live in? Why do you feel the need to attack one of the few if any media outlets that tells it like it is.

  • @representativepress are you calling your youtube page a "media outlet". and did you actually use the phrase "tells it like it is"? I'm just here looking for someone to give me the skinny on what's going on, and i'm being told to think of the children much like i'm supposed to think of the children when my actions are putting a huge debt on them in the future, or when violent video games come out, or when Janet Jackson's tit popped out. i apparently should think about children a lot

  • @representativepress what if I choose to just think about the children whose parents come back from Iraq completely unharmed? does that fuck up the point you're trying to make? it sure does

  • @nickypeeps "what if I choose to just think about the children whose parents come back from Iraq completely unharmed? " I think that is why you are angry, you don't want to think about the real ugly cost of this war to everyone seriously harmed. what if you choose to JUST think about those other children? Looks like you proved

    JoeZaza100 point.

  • @nickypeeps I think JoeZaza100 pegged you. Your point doesn't make sense.

I am pointing out LIES. and when I lay out facts, like the very real negative impact on many American children because of these lies, you attack me! You should world on you priorities. I can't MAKE you have compassion for the victims of these wars. So what are you bitching about? You support the Iraq and are angry at me that I rained on your parade?!?

  • The Truth will allway's rise.....

  • Sadly, Quinn is one of tens of millions of the proudly ignorant

  • Colin has been a pussy since day one

  • Who cares, it's comedy

  • BTW, this isn't the only lie he sells in this show.

  • 1000+ Thumbs Up!!!

  • I see what you're getting at as things like this further the ignorance even though they look simple however he's a comedian. Just let this one be.

  • @SpraxIAKS No, no, no, that's bullshit. He's pushing a big fat ugly lie and there is no justification for doing so. THere isn't justification for falsifying the PREMISE of a joke. A comedian can make jokes based on real things but when someone tries to sell a lie, he is playing us for fools, the joke is ON us. And it isn't just him, you hear me say that others are to blame for making him ignorant.

  • What is the video play that appears on the video at time index 1:03 ?

  • @AshManXP I have the video linked in the video at time index 1:03, it is from PBS, see the link in the video info under "UN inspections clip from "Buying the War, Part V""

  • @representativepress Thank you sir. Keep up the good work by reporting the truth.

By the way, you should be a guest on "Coast to Coast AM".

  • Submit this in coughlan's pwnage olympics even 4, educational. you'll get a lot more views.

good vid. btw. thanks for making these.

  • Event, not Even.

  • Say to that which is falling, "fall faster".

  • It's comedy, give a little leeway for artistic innovation.

  • @Visfen No. Artistic innovation is one thing and he could have told the real history with the countries as bar patrons WITHOUT falsifying the events. He could have related the story with the bar patrons doing things that really happened, NOT faking the history. He's critical of other things, there's no excuse for selling crimes by deception. One review said he was "likening Caesar to modern-day gangsters" so why couldn't he show how Bush was a gangster and what a sick joke it is for Bush to LIE
