  • if i join, i wonder what the chances of my working on the delware or chesapeke are?

  • If you want to serve in the USCG but stay in a specific area, you'll want to join the Coast Guard Reserve. They'll be able to guarantee you a duty station near where you currently live. Otherwise, you could wind up anywhere in the distract. Delaware in in the 5th district which is Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and parts of Pennsylvania and New York.

  • like jetwrench said your best bet is reserve BUT if you enlist you get to fill out what is called a "dream sheet". this sheet is where you put your prefered station and what you want to do. BUT it is still where they want you. they consider it if need in another area isn't great...which isnt likely cause the guard is always undermanned. so reserve is better if you want to ser ve in an area of your choice. (unless you are shipped over seas in a PSU)

  • Does this channel awnser questons about the coast guard? Like, what job goes on those small patrol boats?
