God, how I miss their fights. It's wrong to say it, but I really do. At least in earlier seasons they fought over small things, but they still fought like brothers. There were emotions, no one was right, we had them as BROTHERS. And now...all we get is soulless Sam and just as always, broken Dean. Broken Dean, that I can deal with, but soulless Sam...that's just enough. He needs to be reasonable for once. COME ON SERA, DON'T BE A BITCH, GIVE US BROTHERLY EMOTIONAL MOMENTS!
I always see a link between this, the part later in the episode when Dean tells Sam to hit him back and Sam says no, and Seasons 3-5. I felt that that was no longer Sam, if he was willing to hurt his brother. As protective as Dean is of Sam, it's the same for Sam... he just doesn't get a lot of chances to prove it.And when he refuses to hit Dean, I always relate it to demonized/blood-craving-Sam because clearly that's not Sam. He's not all there anymore.
@AgentOliver i disagree sam had every right to say that it is an insult to his memory how would you feel if you died and got replaced with someone else that's insulting your memory who cares if your dead or not were talking about family you can't replace family sam was right in every way dean was wrong for punching sam. SO GO SCREW YOURSELF if you think their both wrong cause dean's the only one wrong
@shroobletta Wow. I commented on this three years ago but I still stand by what I said. Sam said Dean was replacing his father with Gordon but since when is making new friends the act of replacing dead family members? Dean was miserable and wanted a friend to relate to, his trust and liking of Gordon was understandable if misplaced. Sam invoking John's name in insulting Dean so soon after John's death was uncalled for and a little out of the blue. IMO it sounded like a purposful provocation.

@shroobletta Hm, well I can see someone takes their 4 year old Supernatural episodes very seriously. In hindsight, Dean should have listened to Sam but Sam's behavior in this clip was still out of line. Both brothers are wrong in this clip. Dean for punching Sam and Sam for questioning Dean's loyalty to his father and pushing him.
